I would love this but don't expect it to happen. Also, Lego investing is so silly. At least, it is silly to the extent that people get actually angry over Lego's decisions to release/re-release sets or minifigs because they might devalue their investments. Lego's main goal is to provide desirable products to its customers, not to provide sound investment opportunities. Whether their products retain an inflated value in the secondary market should not be a factor in deciding whether to release a product or not.

LEGO Star Wars 2022 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

While the arm printing on Mace is great, it's a bit of an eye sore for me when looking at the front. The contrast between the printed and unprinted sides of the arms is a bit jarring for me. Cool printing, though! Also hope to pick up one of those purple clones! -
Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion

I think most small kids don't care to collect all versions of a character, while adult fans know how to buy them loose. I don't think they need to put exclusive figures in each set. And actually, we got a crazy amount of new Marvel minifigs last year! -

The high res picture definitely makes it clear that Mace has detailing on his arms. This is most surprising in such a small set. I am probably satisfied with my old Mace minifig, and will likely only pick up one of the purple clones, but good on Lego for pushing for more detailed minifigs. This bodes well for the future! -

Ahhh, this is the droid we've been looking for all these years! I really hope he becomes widely available, because I believe all Star Wars fans deserve the opportunity of buying one without resorting to crazy aftermarket prices or expensive sets. -

Really hope this means future protocol and astromech droids feature additional printing. I got excited with the 3PO polybag a few years ago, and little did I know the next droid with arm printing would not be released until now. -

Thanks for sharing your review! I hope there is some "easy" fix to help keep the doors open. It looks amazing like that. Looking forward to the next video! My first non-minifig scale set was the UCS Tumbler. I was fascinated with it from day one. Nowadays, I am very selective with large sets. So far, I've only justified getting the DeLorean, Batmobile, and Tumbler with regards to large vehicles. I think one gets used to it. This scale has the advantage of representing the model with such accuracy as would never be possible with a minifig scale model. I agree about the dual-molded legs (especially for Marty), the odd use of Han's face for Marty, and the lack of a cap accessory. Lego's marbled colors would be perfect for the cap! I agree. Are there any existing train wheels in this size they could have used? I wonder how hard it would be to MOC it. -

The future of Back to the Future

I don't think they forgot. Rather, it looks like they can't print that close to the toes of the legs. Yeah, I was confused at how they did that. In some scenes, the figures are sized up to match the car, but in one, Marty picks a piece and puts it on the car, with no noticeable size difference. They used some weird tricks, it would seem! -

Thanks for linking to the review! I hadn't noticed those new weird slope pieces, but they are what allow the hood to have that slight slope. The fact that they made a new piece just to get that right speaks volumes to how much they cared about getting this model right. -

Admittedly these are nitpicks, but for those of you minifigure geeks out there, I think Doc and Marty could have used dual molded legs. Especially for Marty, because his Nike shoes have a little bit of an odd gap where Lego can't print on the legs. However, the printing is overall excellent and detailed, and these are still superb figures. Not sure what you mean. Could it be the reflectivity of some of the surfaces or the irregular ("bumpy") surfaces of the slope pieces? This actually makes me realize that in spite of the original car having a die cast finish, I don't necessarily miss it here. In fact, using the metallic pieces for the special "lines" that go around the car (not sure what to call them) highlights them and makes them look well. -

Ooof, yeah, it would be nice and expensive to have all three versions side to side. You're lucky they didn't make the version with the train wheels as well, or you'd need a bigger budget! -

The more I look at it, the more I am impressed by how well they captured the look. Even comparing to Dave Slater's model, which is an excellent benchmark, it looks superior. This is especially sweet considering 8 years ago we got an underwhelming DeLorean. It is quite fitting that it should come back with a bang! Now if only they gave a smaller GWP version without the major flaws of the original. I guess that is too much to ask. I just hope this sells well and we somehow get something like the time train, which could also give us Marty and Doc in their 1885 attire and complete the minifig lineup. -

According to PromoBricks, we'll finally get Marty and Doc minifigs from BTTF Part II with this set! Also all 3 variants of the DeLorean are buildable, light brick for the Flux Capacitor (as stated before), doors and hood can be opened, and it includes Marty's hoverboard, a second license plate, a plutonium box, a banana, and a beer can. I am so excited for this! Finally, BTTF Part II figures!!!! Edit: PromoBricks says we should expect the official reveal soon! -
I don't, but Brickfanatics posted this here: https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-build-a-minifigure-characters-feb-22/

New details have emerged, coming from Stonewars. The part count will be above 1,800 pieces, and a light brick will be included for the flux capacitor! We should expect the scale to be similar to the UCS Ghostbusters car. https://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-back-to-the-future-delorean-dmc-12-10300-new-rumors/ -
Lego Ideas 90th Anniversary Fan Vote
1980-Something-Space-Guy replied to Calanon's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Who knows, they might do that if this one sells well. After all, throwback sets haven't always performed well, so it might be risky for them to release several large ones before testing the waters with one. My hope is this one sells well and they give us large sets for the other classic themes.
