  2. Yahoo!!!!! Thanks for this poll!! I'm glad you answered the need for it. Edit: WOW, look at BLACKTRON My votes were: Blacktron: No explanation needed here... SPIII got a decent revival and Blacktron didn't. What if this time the Blacktron guys really looked mean and evil? Like Space Police: Who's gonna put the Blacktron guys in Space Lock-up capsules? Classic Space: OK, so a classic is a classic... But I think it would be nice to see some neo-classic space official from Lego. New sets. I wouldn't say remake the old sets, but make a new line inspired by classic space. Just some sort of homage. As for the sets of the nineties, even though I'm a big fan of UFO, Exploriens, and Ice Planet, I don't think that this is the time to remake them. I think that we all feel more nostalgia for the older themes.
  3. One? How can I pick just one? I'm sorry, I'm not picking just one. It's too hard!!! The beautiful 10020: 6990 (recent addition ): 6991: 10001: 5986, for nostalgia and its many play features: 9735, so many fun hours with this one: 8466 : 8480 : 4852, so many dioramas made with this one: 6705, small nice set of figs: 6982, love at first sight: 6703, more colorful figs! 7283, a set I wanted for SO long! 6702, the way I got most of the classic space figs new from a box : 6970, biggest classic space set I've got... so beautiful!: 6975, looks beautiful to my eyes, and has a lot of play feautures, and awesome minifigs: 7595, it's just SO COOL!: 7888, my favorite Batman set: 5974, who can't love this baby?: So there you go... Sorry, couldn't just pick ONE!!!
  4. I'm guessing that if the rumors I heard were true, the space visors would have looked very similar. Still, why would castle get visors, and not space?
  5. Interesting. I had thought about trying that but never got to it. However, I still have trouble imagining a visor for these helmets, at least one that slides up and down like those in modern helmets, because the old helmets don't seem to allow for such movement.
  6. Noooooooo!!!!! My precious... Seriously, I consider all my Lego stuff as a big collection. I don't share my personal collections, since they're personal. Perhaps some day I might get rid of some small sets that I'm not too fond of, but that's it. I don't even think that I would share my stuff if I had small kids. I would when they got older (12 maybe). But heck... if I've have accidents with my own stuff, somebody who's not careful enough could have a lot of them! And I know I may seem obsessive, but it's just one of those things that I like to be just mine. I think that it is very likely that the only way someone is getting one of my big Lego sets is through my will after I die.
  7. Whenever I got a set, there was always a part I enjoyed the most when building it. When I was a kid, my favorite parts were building the minifigs and putting the tires at the end of construction. To this day, my favorite part is building the figs in the beginning. What is yours?
  8. Return of BLACKTRON!!!! Please!!! Lego, please hear our cries!!! It does feel like you describe. I do think Lego wasted an opportunity to bring back Blacktron... Hopefully, Blacktron III and SPIV? Which is why we need Blacktron III. True, true, and 100% agreed. I think that this was a flaw in SPIII. Why no alien cops? All aliens are bad? Doesn't speak of a very tolerant society
  9. OK, so I've heard on multiple occasions that the classic space astronaut guys were going to have visors originally, hence their visor dimples. However, according to what I've been told, Lego had to rush when releasing the theme, so they got no visors. Anyone have any idea what these visors were going to look like? Any picture? Where they even designed?
  10. Lego Space has taken up all my space
  11. I like it!!!! Very interesting. Please keep us informed on your progress!
  12. Yeah, I know what you mean. I've posted from an ipod touch and it's a real pain. But well, we'll be waiting.
  13. Of course many had a positive reaction when it was released. Some of us didn't. But I understand your surprise. I don't think that there is an overall negative reaction to AC seeing the comments here, but if somebody made a poll then it would be interesting to see what the actual trend is. I would've done it myself if I could. While I don't think their time and resources were wasted, I just think they could have been used better. Blacktron III... it's on so many people's wishlists. And quite frankly, I doubt it would be less popular than Alien Conquest, if done properly. And I don't know about that... I prefer for a theme to die than to see its quality diminished. But what if the guys at Lego could manage to keep coming up with good, new stuff? I wouldn't complain. Classic Space was a great theme for many years, for example. Not like any of the non-licensed themes today.
  14. Can I just say that this reminded me of... It would be hilarious to see a Lego version.
  15. It would be interesting to make a poll and see what theme most Space fans would like to see revived. But that would require a knight... ?
  16. I recommend this set too. It is very realistic. Not only do you get a realistic gearbox, but also realistic everything.
  17. I liked the concept of Blacktron: a big amount of organized space criminals. I regret that there was no Blacktron III with SPIII. Have you seen the space villain from CMF series 3? Would you imagine a theme based on characters like this, with really MEAN faces (not those innocent smilies from the 80s )? I would love to see some Blacktron III or some other criminal faction on Lego Space. I know there were some villains in SPIII, but it wasn't like Blacktron was. The whole concept of space pirates... Anyways, not to be carried off topic, I slightly resent that Lego took its time and resources making this line, when they could have revived themes such as Blacktron. It just seems such a greater idea to me.
  18. I've been keeping an eye on this since before I registered on Eurobricks, when it first started. I can't wait to see the finished product.
  19. My minifigs used to come to life and exchange some of their limbs from time to time... My small Lego sets would combine in ways that only as a child I could imagine. No, I don't play anymore. However, I still enjoy building, and the occassional swooshing of a spaceship every time I get a new one (WHO CAN RESIST THAT URGE???) My characters don't come to life anymore... but I do know I still have the ability to do so. Whenever I play with a child, especially my little cousin, I voice characters and play with him or her. My cousin enjoys it so much. I think that in many cases it's just that as adults we don't enjoy playing by ourselves anymore. If your inner child is still there, you can still do it.
  20. Early ages - Golden age I had have Lego sets so far as I can remember. Among my first sets were half of 6314, 1760, 6535, 1736, and 6815. I did never stop liking Lego, growing up with themes such as Spider-Man, Star Wars, and trains. My collecting probably peaked in 2006, when the amount of minifigures I owned increased by more than 100%. But then came High School... "Light dark" ages I call this "light dark" because it wasn't dark ages like most people experience. With high school and other interests, my collecting habits began to diminish, reaching a low point in 2008. Not to say much about this period. Renaissance! With the 30th anniversary of SW came the limited chrome C-3PO minigure. I learned about it in 2008, and I had to get one! So, my minifigure collecting was sparked again. Same for my set collecting. The current problem is storage, but I'll figure that out later.
  21. I would like some good remake of the Emperor's Throne room. A bigger one. The ending of the saga happens there! I think I would rather have something more Death Star II related. And by the way, I would love it if we got a chromie R2 Isn't it about time?
  22. That is an interesting explanation. I guess I'll just start visiting Bricks in Motion then. On another note, and this is completely unrelated to the topic, but we also lost recently promobricks.com
  23. Often, it is even cheaper to order from Lego S@H, even if it includes paying high shipping costs!
  24. Prices are high here.
