  1. I can't imagine how much time you people must have spent on this. I am awed. Great level of detail. It's beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
  2. Any of you ever seen the minifigure wall at Orlando?
  3. Unfortunately, I have realized that I have other Lego frustrations. Namely, the fact that it is not currently possible for Lego to make a completely transparent minifigure, that collectible minifigs have no barcodes , that Lego made no Blacktron III with SPIII and instead released Alien Conquest , and that Lego has currently got too many licensed themes to my taste. For me, Marvel, DC, SW (and I'm not even a big fan of the Clone Wars), and POTC would have been just enough for the next year.
  4. Exactly the same situation here. When series 4 came out, I just wanted it so badly that I didn't care to pay more for it since I already had been waiting a long time for it, and it's probably my favorite series. This time, I want to wait and save some money (since I'm forced to buy from resellers), so I'll just wait until the hype is gone and people stop paying $80 for a complete set.
  5. Oh, if I just had the money and the space to get this... But well, I guess that seeing it will have to do. This is a beautiful set. Thanks for the detailed review.
  6. Wow, I am amazed at the amount of detail you put into this. I love it. Thanks for sharing!
  7. I, for one, loved Lego's recent revival of Space Police, and I actually liked the designs resembling more those of real world police. To me, it is the best of the recent space themes that came after the nineties. My only complaints are probably, as has been said before, that there were no aliens on the Space Police corps! And no human criminals! Seeing how Lego made a ver nice space villain, Blacktron-themed, I think that they could've made a revival just as good of Blacktron. Alas, we got none, but maybe later. Even space pirates could be a great theme. As for Ice Planet, I hadn't given it much thought since it doesn't feel like a theme that needs a good revival right now, but now that I think about ir, they could make a great revival. An idea that hasn't been explored before is exploration of an alien jungle planet. Something like Avatar, just not smurf-inspired. Perhaps we should also have a thread for new space ideas LOL
  8. Although we've had mining themes before, I think this would be a great idea for a new Space theme. If it looked as good as this, I know I would be a fan. Great creation, and thanks for sharing!
  9. I only own one Futuron set (and didn't own any about one month ago), but it's great. I like the theme's designs, but I guess I'm not such a big fan of the theme because for me it's like Classic Space, just not as good. However, its designs had a high quality that we are yet to see come back to current Space themes.
  10. M:Tron is arguably one of the best space themes ever. The color scheme was outstanding, and the designs were very good. I have always loved this line, although I only own one M:Tron set. Thanks for the reviews! Love all of them, even the small vehicles.
  11. "Like it"? I LOVE it! Awesome creation! Looks very sleek, and the color combinations is very good. Trans blue and orange make very good contrast. Good work, and thanks for sharing!
  12. This made my day. This set is such a great homage to Well's War of the Worlds. The colors are nice. I don't think I can spare money for this guy, but I wouldn't mind having one.
  13. Wow, that is just amazing. Very movie accurate. The only thing I feel is that the hands are too small, but that could be just me. In any case, I couldn't have thought of a better solution. Very well done!
  14. Interesting! I never thought about this. To me, they were always happy men with perfect lives cooperating for the same faction. I'm glad it stayed that way, and Classic Space was always peaceful.
  15. This is sweet! Can't wait to see the finished product! Such a pity that Lego will never sell a set as huge as this. Good luck building!
  16. I love it. If Lego ever revived Classic Space, it should look like this. Believe me, if Lego sold this, I would buy it. Thanks for sharing!
  17. Nice. Reminded me of Only 4 years until hoverboards are invented? What would I not give for a hoverboard... At least in our Lego world, minifigures get to use them. Great MOC!
  18. Although I'm not a big fan of this theme, I must admit I like this UFO. I think it's mostly the ADU's design that I just don't like enough of the theme. Would be nice to grab one of these, at a good price.
  19. This seems the best Blacktron I set to me. Sadly, I don't own any, but this is a good candidate! At least I know I won't be spending on the current "space" theme. Thanks for the excellent review!
  20. It might help often to know that all Pythagorean triplets are of the form (2mn, m^2-n^2, m^2+n^2), for m,n integers, in case you ever want to make one. If you want the sides to be relatively prime, then make m and n relatively prime.
  21. That sure beats the worst of my stories.
  22. I'm glad we'll all talking nostalgia here about Space themes. I MISS classic space even though I never got to see it in my time. I miss Exploriens, because although many say it was poorly designed, I love that theme. I miss Blacktron too, although I never got to see it, and I would love to see the new Space Police fight Blacktron III. But well, Lego hasn't delivered...
  23. This is good! Hopefully they'll even do this with even more themes, like the Superhero line! OK, hopes to high, but you get what I mean...
  24. Creating a poll here requires him to increase his post count! And back on topic, I like very much Blacktron's color scheme, although I also like trans blue, white, black, and trans red, much like Futuron and Space Police.
  25. Kind of the reason why I keep no sealed sets, with the exception of a repeat chrome Vader.
