  1. Awesome! Should I feel bad because I enjoyed the part when the car was completely obliterated? Mythbusters has made me enjoy destruction...
  2. This is one of the few only complaints I have of this minifigure. I wonder if there was a way in which Lego could've avoided this. I was looking for a similar picture some time ago. Still have to get K-3PO, and the red and black protocol droids. My only complaint with accuracy is the un-chromed parts in the torso, but it's still a great minifig. Great review. I enjoyed the jokes. I really hope we get a chrome R2 some day.
  3. I would like to see some more classic characters from literature and films. Something like Don Quixote, Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, Captain Nemo, the Invisible Man (with clothes, just a transparent head with bandages and sunglasses), maybe even Watson since we've already got a detective... Oh, and a scientist more like good ol' Einstein. That would be cool. Sometimes I wish Lego released historical minifigures. I, for one, would love a Chaplin little tramp minifigure. But that of course is not the focus of this theme.
  4. Hmmm, I really haven't used these tools for a long time. Do you have the "Lego Software Power Tools" book? It is very useful.
  5. I think that many decent designs have been made of the UCS falcon with detailed interiors. Of course, I can't imagine the price for them... As much as I would like it to be another way, I don't think it would sell well.
  6. I enjoyed this documentary a lot. It helped to fill in the gaps of some things I didn't understand about Lego. Also, as an enthusiast of recreational mathematics, I found the fact that 915,103,765 different combinations are possible with 6 2x4 Lego bricks very interesting. In addition, I liked seeing the machines that assemble minifigure parts and set bags. However, I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed about what we all expected from Lego Universe...
  7. These are very nice. I don't own any classic vehicles except for 6600, just some early 90s ones, but I probably should It gives you nostalgia. Lego won't be as simple ever again.
  8. May I add that I'm extremely happy to see two sci-fi figs (or one if you don't count the robot as one) in this series, after not seeing any sci-fi figs in series 5?
  9. This series is pretty good! So glad it's not ending at 5 Will probably be getting all again... I have to find a better solution though. This looks like one of the best series so far. And cool, now CMF has 96 minifigures!
  10. Useless extra parts? You could say that about almost any set. We all know sets are more than the sum of their parts, but if what you mean is that your main purpose is getting parts to use in MOCs, I get your point.
  11. I have always disliked all Roboforce sets. However, the color scheme was very good, and if Lego came with good mechs this time, I'd give it a try.
  12. I've noted similar topics about areas. However, I believe monorails deserve their own topic. I know some people here own an impressive collection of monorails, so that's why I'm starting this thread. As for me, I own one 6990 and one 6991, none of them sealed. I would like to own a 6399 and wouldn't mind having some expansion tracks, but these all seem too expensive at the moment, considering how much I really want them and have available.
  13. But we're probably looking at another January release, or not?
  14. The wait is killing me. When do you think Lego is going to announce the figures officially?
  15. I hadn't thought about this, but this also annoys me. Somehow, this theme feels "incomplete". In the early nineties, and I would say pretty much everything before Insectoids, almost all factions got a great variety of sets. Of course, we could get a second wave, but so far the amount of sets available feels incomplete.
  16. Who's got the largest minifigure collection in the world? I read this but it seems to be outdated.
  17. How many minifigures do you own? How many unique ones? As for me, I own around 450, although it's probably around 350 unique ones since I've got a lot of repeats. But I'm nowhere as near to have the biggest collection in the world. I read this topic a long time ago on The Brothers Brick. However, there seems that there was no follow-up. Do we know who has the largest minifigure collection in the world? If not, this thread could help to determine that.
  18. As a big fan of Wells, this is one of the few things that I admit I loved from this new theme.
  19. I agree completely here with you. I would rather see new designs than older designs re-released, although I wouldn't mind a "Legends" sort of reissue of a few good sets, in moderate amounts.
  20. I think that Lego wasted an opportunity to make an interesting inter species police force. As much as the alien villains looked cool, alien cops would have been awesome too. It has been a very long since Lego last put some aliens as good guys in the Space theme. This is something we are lacking.
  21. First, I would say a bunch of the Classic Space sets... but they are too much to choose, so I'll just mention them so you know they're actually my first choice. Then: 1. 6979 2. 6399, a true legend: 3. One 10025 and two 10022, because I bought one of each, intended to buy enough to build all cars, and never got to it before it was too late:
  22. Oh gee, the more monorails you get the more you want... If I ever find this baby at a decent price, I'll get it! But then again, what are the odds...
  23. If Lego does a remake as good as SPIII of Blacktron, my life will be complete. PLEASE LEGO!!! WE'RE DESPERATE!!! I hope they make some good market research.
  24. Personally, I think that 6990's monorail train is much better designed than 6990's. However, 6991 has much more stations and playability, besides of having a longer track and including switches. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on 6399 someday though. Only not at those awful prices...
