  1. Hahaha, that is so awesome!!! If I had the pieces I would drive that all day, only I wouldn't have the courage to have it near any source of water
  2. No wonder the ark of the covenant is lost!
  3. You have both made some fair points. I agree that this is not what Lego Space is traditionally about, and I don't think that Lego should ever stop producing true Space sets. I do admit that the designs are very good (even though I'm not a fan of the color scheme of ADU), and that it's good to explore this idea of aliens visiting Earth. Also, in the meantime, we get some awesome minifigs. I also hope we get some more real space soon! I don't think I'll be buying sets either, but I do intend to collect all the aliens, and maybe even an ADU guy. Perhaps if they designed a REAL mothership, then I might be hooked.
  4. Thanks for your answers! I lived with the old colors. Personally, I don't mind the color change, except for the fact that while combining old and new pieces you often get color discrepancies, as you have mentioned.
  5. That's what I just meant . Did you design a track with a vertical bend? I tried to think how to get around this but couldn't think of anything. Perhaps one way would be to let the track sections hanging together as in a chain. That would work only for the upward bend though.
  6. Maybe that's something I dislike about this theme. It doesn't feel like a space adventure. As you have said, it's more like Lego City attacked by UFO. I hate to see Space Police III go
  7. I love it! My favorite part is the Uranium Processing Facility. Very inspiring work!
  8. What was the purpose of color changes such as old brown to new, reddish brown? This must have cost Lego, so there must be some reason why it was expected to generate revenue, but I can't think of one.
  9. The only things that could possibly be added to this design, in my opinion, is the ability to climb and go down (maybe this doesn't require a modification to the other parts of the system), and space for passengers! Overall, I love this design and would LOVE to have the pieces to build it.
  10. Such a great idea Would you imagine middle age knights actually training like that? And some people think that being a squire is a servile position!
  11. And if you think that the Lego Harry Potter game doesn't use the 4L bars for wands, but makes them thinner, it does make you wonder!
  12. I can't believe I had never seen this! This was my Holy Grail when I was 12 years old !! I'm glad somebody made it. Actually, I like it more than Lego's old monorail. It's closer to the real thing.
  13. Say that to a guy who lives in Costa Rica. There are no Lego stores in a hundreds of km radius! The guys who bring Lego here make it very expensive and don't bring everything
  14. That is true. I do love the new aliens from this line. However, I would have personally prefered this theme not to involve humans at all. Something like UFO. Then we would have Alien cities and such. I would find it a more interesting concept than the "Close Encounters of the Third kind" thing they have done. But then again, that's just me.
  15. Whoops! I swear I searched and didn't find that thread. Can any admin merge the posts? Mr. McDuck, I have to agree with you. Johnny Thunder is among my favorite figs.
  16. Amazing! You can almost hear Tchaikovsky's Russian motif. Just in case somebody doesn't know it :)
  17. What's your favorite minifigure (even if you don't own it)? Post an image of it if you have a picture of one you own. If not, just post the Bricklink pic. Also give an explanation as to why you think it is your favorite. As for me, I'm very undecided... but one of the strongest candidates is the 2007 30th Star Wars anniversary chrome C-3PO. I just love its colors, and its chromie sweetness Besides, C-3PO is one of the most iconic SW characters. So what about you?
  18. The best theme is Space of course! Although I don't know which subtheme of Space is my favorite. Probably one among Classic Space, Exploriens, and UFO.
  19. Back in 2003, this was one of my most wanted sets, given that Exploriens was my favorite Space subtheme. Later, I stopped liking it as much, in part because of its part to price ratio and its "incomplete" appearance. However, seeing this pics made me want it. If I ever find it at a good price, it'll probably be added to my Explorien collection!
  20. Hi all. When I saw the first pics of Alien Conquest, I wasn't very thrilled. After seeing the products, even though I think that many of the designs are very nice, I just feel it's not up to the standards set up by previous Space subthemes. However, I might be biased because my favorite era of space is the one before the year 2000. What do you think? Do you like this theme?
  21. Among the town MOCs I have seen, this is probably among my favorites (if not my top favorite one). Amazingly done. Congratulations! You're very talented.
  22. After hearing so much great stuff about Brickstore, I think that I'll give it a try. Previously, I thought it was useful mainly for sellers.
  23. Kudos! It does make you wonder. After so many years and a color change. you'd think TLG would have tried to make at least a standard wand mold.
  24. I guess it should be easier for Doc to dismantle his "infernal machine" now
