Character introduction, The Biker
Dutch Thriceman replied to Dutch Thriceman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thank you, I was a bit sad with the blurriness to be honest, I did discover a HDR setting on my phones camera which drastically improves my photo quality but only after I had broken down the photo-setup and the MOC. I will be using that from here on out though. -
Lore: The original Mark 1 Kerberos Panzer was developed by the Saxonian Empire for soldiers to safely get across trenches during the Great War. Afterwards the improved Mark 2 armor was put to use in the special police anti-terrorist unit Kerberos. These Kerberos units are mainly deployed in the annexed countries, to supress any acts of rebellion against Saxony. A terryfing sight to those who oppose the Empire, a beloved symbol of order and protection to all Saxonians. The armored trooper is nearly invulnerable to small arms fire and some lucky troops have even reported to survive direct-contact explosions. - So as a side project to post-apoc mocs I've been wanting to do some miniature style army building, and as a huge fan of Dieselpunk / Alternate History I figured it'd make an awesome subject to do some Lego army building in. This is the first faction, the Saxonian Empire, a nod to the excellent 1920 universe by artist Jakub Rozalski. I will hopefully finish my first Mech soon (I just need to work on the legs at the moment and pick up a couple of pieces to make a base / display for it). So that'll be the next thing to get posted. Army units: - 3 Gepanzerter Jägers - 1 Saxonian Feldwebel

LEGO IDEAS - The Medieval Blacksmith

Haha rad bro, really nice to see how Lego has evolved from then to now. -
Character introduction, The Biker

Thank you, hmm yes the Bikers face is obscured on purpose, the 2 highwaymen just fell victim to the angle, I could've taken a picture from behind the Biker looking at the highwaymen and I didn't consider that so I definitely will try to keep that in mind for my next build. -
Character introduction, The Biker
Dutch Thriceman posted a topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
20XX: Children of the Apocalypse The Biker Oh man, it's been a while since I posted anything, I have a bunch of W.I.P. projects on their way as well as some projects that I've been itching to build but I don't have the parts for yet. Do you have a case of déjà vu? There is this philosophy that if you keep making the same *insert something here* (vase, painting, etc.) over and over you will eventually reach perfection. The truth is I was not satisfied with my 20XX CotA universe teaser MOC. I originally intended to start the series off with an entirely different MOC* instead of retreading similar ground, but having just gotten back into Lego the things I had in my mind are currently not possible until my parts library has grown. I am curious to hear what you think, did I improve? Critique and suggestions are always appreciated. More pics in my Flickr feed which you can find by clicking on the pic's here. (* which would still have introduced the Biker.) -

Thank you for showing Lego how they should be doing their mechs! -
It looks very Dutch indeed, I especially like the use of the Friends (sticker) tile, even that (Stephanie) vibes very Dutch haha

LEGO Hidden Side 2020
Dutch Thriceman replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I've picked up the Lighthouse, Shrimp Diner and the Shrimp Boat for 10/15.- below the Lego official price recently. I find them very cheap on the aftermarket at least at the moment. (Bricklink) -
LEGO IDEAS - The Medieval Blacksmith
Dutch Thriceman replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I'm sorry it is out of stock for you but at the same time happy it is doing well as it'll hopefully send a bit of a message to Lego. I was on the fence of buying one as the price is quite steep for me, but this was a set I simply Had to support. -
LEGO IDEAS - The Medieval Blacksmith
Dutch Thriceman replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I just picked mine up from the pickup point, other then the fact that Lego is using a shady delivery company (I was waiting at home yesterday in front of the window all morning only to receive a message "were sorry you weren't home" yeah right), I am so happy that we finally got something Medieval / Historical themed again and sincerely hope it does really well and convices Lego to release more Castle/Historical sets again after the long drought. -
I forgot to comment on Flickr so I'ma do it here, it looks absolutely godly, I love the popping colours like the lime and blue that both stand out and blend in perfectly.

That is gorgeous, I'd love to buy This version of the mech! -
Thanks for the reply, I'll keep an eye on the GBW then.

I've been lurking here for a while now, (since late Novemberish) I've only gotten back into Lego as an AFOL since October last year so my current parts collection is microscopic and I've mostly done specific Bricklinks for upcoming projects which would make it quite challenging to join and yet I am oh so very tempted. Especially because of the restart, it would be somewhat easier to step in as a new player I assume.

Fantastic MOC, I like how everything is in a close-up perspective, really helps with the immersion.

Nobody knows for sure anymore when it started, everything surrounding the HandS has become speculative hearsay. According to some their twisted appearances are meant to *redacted*. According to others it is a sign of their *redacted*. All that's certain is that HandS form a legalized, governed slaver's guild. Their main objective, Hunt and Snatch. Primarily the rare few children that remain in the wastes, although HandS are known to capture women and able bodied men on occasion too. Wew, finally, my first MOC as a returning AFOL posted. Meant to be a Teaser Diorama for my Post-Apoc universe set in and named 20XX: Children of the Apocalypse. Inspired by many different sources, but most notably, imagine a mix of Mad Max and the Adventurers theme. At the moment I am looking for C&C on this as it is my first MOC / Diorama as a returning AFOL. Personally I am unsatisfied with the terrain details, although I feel that adding more pebble/rock pieces or 'greenery' would detract from the whole Badlands vibe... still any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
