  1. Nice details, those beds do not look comfy though
  2. COTA is back, a Children Of The Apocalypse Figbarf from Dutch, are you interested in the COTA universe? I intend to post a build + lore dump soon (sometime in May) that explains the basic backstory of the world a bit. If this is your first time hearing of COTA, it is my own fictional universe borrowing from tons of different inspo. The core premise is a Mad Max / Fallout-esque universe though. Which I think works best in the Action Adventure section, if there is a more appropriate place to post Post-Apoc though please let me know, thanks! Introducing the Pyromaniacs gang, from left to right: Bull, the Gladiator Crook-Cook Gangh Baws Bye-Bae Wrench Face + Two unfortunate souls crossing the Pyromaniacs, being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
  3. An historical build by Dutch? Ha, this will definitely not be my last, I love Historic themes. I hope you like it. Tried my hand at an Asian/Japanese style garden. Would have done some things differently if I had the parts but part of the challenge and fun of Lego building is seeing what I can do with what I have on hand. So I am really happy with the result. Still I do appreciate any C&C, feedback is always great, if only to improve oneself in the future.
  4. Really cool build, great work, personally I would have posted this in the Military section instead though
  5. Not sure how I feel about Igor but I love the rest
  6. That is a Big flag, I like the use of the nexo knights shield logo
  7. Welcome comrade! Fantastic signup build.
  8. This, one thousand times this
  9. Thanks SATSOK, btw I took some light inspo from your recent Ter_Jeep (the roll cage and the wheel/controls to be precise) combining it with my own Conraua and some new elements to create a Can-Am Commander, hope that is okay.
  10. Nice work sigpro, for the Motherland! (Darkbass) hmm my suggestion, I would've used slopes instead of tiles for the terrain if possible.
  11. Haha nice, so an underground illegal strip club then? To be honest though, I saw the 18+ warning and I thought oh shit is about to go down but it's still quite tame if you ask me.
  12. Oh yeah I am familiar with Boston Dynamics, personally I really like robotica even though I am not a very technical/handy person myself, I also love for example the Black Mirror episode with SPOT-like robots or the movie Chappie, stuff like that
  13. I was going to say it is neat that you incorporated some sort of play-feature into the build but paintballman already beat me to it haha I like the technical, but what is that other vehicle, it looks like a robot mule with turret?
  14. Thank you sigpro. Hmm, right now I am considering purchasing a Ring Light and some large sheets of paper for photographing mocs too big for the photobox.
  15. Oops yes correct I ment 15, thank you for the fix. Thanks Parm, yeah I just get the silliest ideas sometimes haha
  16. Chapter 1: Redemption Part 2 - Village Outskirts *Aproximately 2 hours ago.* *The village of Mallia, outskirts, at M15.* ALF Soldier: Greetings sir, we... Civilian: Leave. ALF Soldier: Please sir just hear us ou- Civilian: I said LEAVE ... *muffled voice* Muffat what should I do? ALF Soldier: What was that sir, I didn't quite catch that. Civilian: Understood, yes, yes ALF Soldier: What is going on he- *The thundering sounds of gunfire crackle through the air* *Currently* Muffat One-Eye: Well Zahir, see anyone approach? Zahir: No, seems we are all clear brother. Muffat: Strange, after those soldiers showed up I expected more. Let's start preparing some IED's just in case brother. Sasha: This is Pitbull, T1 in position over. Smithy is it ready? Mihail: Yes sir, but are you sure about this. Sasha: This is no time to question my orders Smithy! Mihail: But sir, the hostiles disguised themselves as civilians, we have no clue who are civies and who are Brotherhood! Sasha: It is real simple Smithy, they have a gun they get shot, now get ready! T2 are you in position? Mayk: This is T2, Cowboy, we are in position sir over. Sasha: Roger that, Smithy do it now, everybody once it drops they do to! Zahir: What is that sound, seems like something is approaching us, get ready brothers. Muffat: What is going on Zahir? Zahir: Looks... looks like an RC car sir. *Okey by Gruppadlb starts playing* Muffat: What is that, what is going on Zahir! Sasha: T1, T2, Execute now! *The sound of gunfire once again crackles through the air* Sasha: Nice job team, Cowboy, Tankman clear those houses. Lets move further into the village, according to intel they were relying on a small guerrilla unit to hold the village but we can't be 100% certain that we are safe. Lola: Sir, I think you should hear this, there is some breaking news on this laptop. Sasha: It can wait Ubiytsa, let us focus on the village. Lola: But sir, the broadcast, it's mentioning us. To be continued. ___ Wew this one was a pain, once again my photobox was too small, so I ended up jury-rigging it (for the LED lights) with a blanket as background as I didn't have anything else. I spend what feels like my entire day off yesterday (well definitely half the day haha) on photographing this and the previous MOC and I am still not satisfied. In retrospect I wish I did a few more shots and perhaps set up a few more scenes. I think my first next step is looking for a larger photobox haha. I decided not to use character portraits this time, since I worried it would fill up the page too much, did you miss them? Let me know. Also don't tell anybody but I just now realized it makes no sense to have Mayk in front, it should have been Oleg in front with Mayk behind him, it's bugging me now haha.
  17. Chapter 1: Redemption Part 1 - An Old Friend At the joint KLR / Koszmar taskforce supply base, a hanger bay repurposed as workshop for Koszmar's famous 'Weapons Technician' Mihail Kogalniceanu, the gunsmith is hard at work with some new gear... Sasha: Mihail you old dog, how are you, it's been forever. Mihail: Sasha! You look even uglier then last time comrade! Hahaha, oh wait you're wearing a mask hehe. Sasha: Ha, all jokes aside, these ballistic face masks you made for the team are amazing, saved my life once or twice already. Never got the chance to properly thank you, but I am truly glad you also got recruited for K.R.A.S.O.D. Mihail: Speaking of, I need to tell you something. Sasha: What's wrong friend, you're looking quite serious all of a sudden. Mihail: I've gotten some friends in higher places, you know like Boris, you remember Boris don't you. Anyway word is going around about something called project Sacrificial Lamb (see: Ice-Coldman), and whenever this project gets mentioned... well so does your team. It seems real fishy if you know what I mean. Also some secret ops guys with ridiculous clearance.. and more importantly ridiculously nice gear. Sasha: Ahem, you're drooling Mihail... Mihail: Oh, eh, haha sorry. What was I saying, ah yes some secret black-ops type guys (see: Mithril) came through the base a while back, I also heard them talking about project Sac-Lamb and team Village Idiots. Seems something big is going down, you guys should be careful. Sasha: Thanks, that does sound suspicious, I'll keep it in mind... ah but actually, I wanted to ask if you might be interested in joining Village Idiots. We are still short a technical support officer. Mihail: Oh... hmm, well I have been dying to field test some new gear. It is a tempting offer I must admit. Sasha: It is settled then, come on in guys meet the new team member! Sasha: Let me introduce you guys, this is the famous Mihail 'Smithy' Kogalniceanu. The amazing technician who among many other things made all our custom gear. Starting today he will be supporting K.R.A.S.O.D. Team 1 Village Idiots Lola: Nice to meet you Mihail, I'm Serzhant Obolenskaya Mayk: ... cool guns bratan... Oleg: So, that's Leytnant Yudman , the cool and quiet type. If you ask me he is just shy haha, ah yes but I forget, I am Yefreytor Vdovenko. But call me Oleg please Mihail: Bwahahaha okay, it is hard to say no after that, I guess it is true what they are saying now about you. If Sasha the Pitbull wants something he will bite and not let go ey. Glad to join the team. Part 2 of my first proper story chapter, Redemption - Village Outskirts is coming tomorrow! ____ So I actually intended to introduce Mihail in the HQ moc, but forgot. So here he is at last. + Bonus pic of the gang all togheter with their latest gear: Since I got some feedback that there were no prefab buildings in the HQ moc, I decided to showcase a bit of the prefab interior in this MOC, so this is one of the prefab hangers normally used to store supplies or vehicles but Mihail got one so he can work on new experimental gear. I also finally have gotten a good grip on what I want to do with the story and were I want to take it, alongside the main events and other players stories going on of course. But yeah, I got some things planned for team Village Idiots haha. Finally some trivia for those interested: Sasha 'Pitbull' Silantyev, my sigfig and squad leader, holds rank of Kapitan in Koszmar military. His first name Sasha is inspired by the character Sasha from the movie Behind Enemy Lines! For his last name I just liked Silantyev. Oleg 'Tankman' Vdovenko, the teams heavy gunner, Oleg Vdovenko makes really neat animations, you can look him up on YouTube. Obviously named Tankman because of his gear and team role. He holds the rank of Yefreytor. Mayk 'The Cowboy' Yudman, the teams sniper, Mayk is a reference to Mike the Cowboy a character from the videogame Max Payne 2, Yudman is the last name of the voice actor who voices Mike. He holds the rank of Leytnant Lola 'Ubiytsa' Obolenskaya, the teams scout, Lola's name comes from my favorite Russian Band 'Gruppadlb' which consists of two guys and a girl called Lola Obolenskaya. Her nickname Ubiytsa means Killer which I thought fitting since her backstory is that of former assassin. Lola holds the rank of Serzhant. Mihail 'Smithy' Kogalniceanu, the teams technician, I just really like the name Mihail as far as eastern/slavic sounding names go, I googled it and found Mihail Kogalniceanu which I really liked since it could be very loosly translated to 'Bullet Nice Now' in my own countries language haha. Mihail is a Kursant in the Koszmar military. That's enough trivia for today, see you next time I hope.
  18. Oops I guess I misunderstand the rules, I thought territory battle rules were for player versus player, but they are for empty squares as well. My bad (edit* I don't think anybody in KLR realised this, good to know.) It seems PSIC intelligence service is superior
  19. Fantastic work on the build and presentation SATSOK, I do envy your designer skills. The road, the house the barn everything is well done On a side note though, I don't believe we are allowed to take more then 1 square per game turn / month?
  20. My favorite detail are those computer servers, don't think I've seen anybody do that in Lego before
  21. I have adertised the April giveaway a bunch of times, online and even to some builders I know IRL, the reaction in general is "oh that's really cool", but it doesn't seem to draw in any new members
  22. Thanks Parm Yes I have noticed photographing a black background is more challenging, I may have to experiement more. Thank you SATSOK, I do agree. In retrospect, I shouldn't have used the 1x1 rb brick at the bottom of the utility pole. Thank you French Man
  23. Nice way to utilize / integrate BURP pieces into the MOC, my favorite is the BURP on top of the rocks next to the road, it makes for a clean texture. I am only a bit confused by the fire on the utility pole, is that caused by an EMP?
