  1. This looks awesome, also respect for providing free instructions for all of your builds
  2. I've heard a lot of talk on views for the Kenobi show, the latest Mandalorian season etc being dissapointing as well as the Star Wars attraction(s?) not performing well in Disneyland (didn't the Star Wars hotel get shut down?). On top of a lot of talk about films/shows being cancelled before being released. Ofcourse as I'm not Disney I don't really know for sure, it's all hearsay. The last Star Wars thing I was personally really into was the old brief Cartoon that the guy who also did Samurai Jack did. Oh man being reminded of that, if they did more seasons of that one as well as Lego sets based on that, now that would be something I'd be down for. Aye, that could be the case. Makes sense.
  3. With 'Super Hero Fatigue' and a continued disinterest in the Star Wars franchise I wonder how much longer these sets sell and work for Lego. I don't really know people anno 2023 interested in Super Hero stuff at all and I hear left and right people talking about selling their Star Wars (minifigures) collections. If these two giants were to die out I wonder what will take their place... if you look at how poorly these two IP's / themes (not in Lego, idk how well they are still doing for Lego, but in general) have been doing recent times I can't imagine them being evergreen. edit* I do notice Star Wars diorama's / moc's still being a populair presence in events, so maybe Star Wars less so, but I haven't seen a lot of fan related stuff concerning Heroes, I really do wonder about this.
  4. When it comes to tan or white (nope not discoloration from the sun, for 100% sure as it's new out of the box parts) I have a ton of subtle colour variation. It's messy.
  5. Yes! This was my first thought also, that minifig looks more like a character out of Dark Souls then Star Wars haha, I absolutely love it.
  6. I've made my first ever modular building in 16x16 scale, I've seen as small as 10x10 scale still looking good (imo) although realistic interiors are impossible at that scale the facade/outside can look great. Having said that I think your 32 wide by 16 deep idea is very good. I think I'll make an appartment building on that scale as 16x16 will be too small for that.
  7. Thank you that was the goal
  8. That's so raven! Hold tight the raven crew.
  9. Thanks! Thank you for the kind words
  10. Greetings, it's been a while since I last visited Eurobricks. Today I want to present my new project as well as ask for feedback on it. I've always wanted to make my own City/Modular buildings but the 32x32 footprint or price of modular sets has always been too much for me. I discovered de-marco's various modular buildings all taking up no more then a 16x16 footprint some time ago and felt inspired and also realized that 16x16 is a perfectly possible scale to work with. Combine that with a beautiful shelf city lay-out I saw at my cousin's and I decided I wanted to create my own 'Shelf City' with 16x16 scale modular buildings. Themed in a near future / 'almost but not quite' Cyberpunkish setting. This particular building is based of off a french artists drawing I found, this frontside layout is roughly the same as the drawing although I added more details. And will probably be the most traditional/old school looking building in my layout with a currently on the way W.I.P. Office Building and Police Station already being a lot more 'out there' if you will. Also want to shout out The Inventor for being one of my favorite and most inspirational builders at the moment when it comes to (smaller scale) architecture although his work isn't quite as small as mine. Fun fact, this is the first complete building (not just a facade) that I've ever made in Lego. The other side of the Ramen Shop, since my self imposed ruleset is a 16x16 scale modular footprint including overhang I was limited on the back sides by a one stud width. I'm still quite happy with the details I managed to add within my footprint but any feedback or advice is appreciated. I'd very much would like to improve the 'Where Are My Pants' show advertisment board so any tips for that would be great. As the gaps there still do bother me. First floor interior of the Ramen Shop, featuring a seating area, a loading dock with supply boxes, a kitchen with drawers, a cutting area, stove and sink as well as a fridge in the back. Second floor interior of the Ramen Shop, featuring a bathroom, bed and desk with pc. Third floor interior of the Ramen Shop, featuring a terrace as well as an even smaller appartment.
  11. Thanks everyone! Sorry for the late reply, if you haven't found it yet the Head is from the old Knights Kingdom line, the Red coloured knight. The hair is from a Ninjago minifig but I'm sure there are many minifigs with that hair piece. The torso is an old soccer (sports theme) torso, on the back there is even a number so you need to always have some kind of cape or backpack piece if you want to make use of it for Castle even though it fits perfect imo.
  12. It's been a while since I last visited Eurobricks, but I've wanted to share this Mech model as I'm really happy with how it turned out. This model was built for the Discord based Lego group 'World In Darkness', check the groups works out here: https://www.flickr.com/groups/14614706@N20/ After the Ansui Coup happened the EFU motioned for the production of a Main Vertical Tank of their own. Specifically a rapidly producable yet still effective MVT to bolster their borders and protect themselves and their allies. This led to the UFA, the most technologicaly advanced member in the alliance to graciously send some top engineers to help with development. The L1-Cyclops features two subtractable missile bays that can be installed with a variety of payloads depending on mission paramaters. As well as two chute-fed undermounted WLKM 12,7 Multi-Barrel Machineguns. It has an onboard rudementary AI that can either support a rear-mounted pilot or operate independantly on some basic parameters. Pictures showcasing extra details of the cyclops not seen in the main flagship pictures. 1. Fully posable legs! Put them in T-Rex or Chicken Walker position, or simulate walking/movement. 2. Clean finished rear, not really a feature but I didn't find the booty shot interesting enough to showcase seperately, sue me. 3. Fully retractable / fully openable missile bays. Hide them behind a thick layer of armor if necessary or deploy them to reign absolute hell upon your enemies. 4. An ejectable pilot cockpit with full interior detailing. Credit to Dane Erland for inspiration on this cockpit. That's all folks. (Edited because pics were a bit too large, sorry about that.)
  13. Inspired by Aurore, specifically their post Hademar's Household drove me to want to put togheter a little family of my own. Introducing Count Falco and Lady Nidea with their two children and their closests relatives & friends. From left to right: - Uncle Blackwin, captain of the guard. - Falkwin, son of Falco, the youngest child. - Count Falco, appointed lord protector of the southern most border stronghold of the Black Falcon's realm. - Nidwin, daughter of Falco, the oldest child. - Lady Nidea, wife of the Count. - Isobel, astrologer and alchemist in service of the family. - Conrad, falconer, no noble house in the Black Falcon ranks can be without one. The house-guard in service of Count Falco, consistent of macemen, longbowmen and halberdiers. I had to have 'macemen' in reference to one of my favorite childhood games, Stronghold. Need some muscle? What castle figbarf is complete without a complimentary furniturebarf. No but seriously, these were made as a little warmup for my upcoming first Castle build proper, I used to build vignette scenes for GoH before my second dark ages however I haven't built a Castle proper since I was a child in my days of rainbow brick castles haha. It will still take a while before it is finished.
  14. I still listen to Hollywood Undead, been for years now, they never get old to me and whenever they release new music it always hits right for me. Most recently their latest album Hotel Kalifornia's track World War Me has been on repeat alot:
  15. Yeah I wouldn't be able to completely cut my (black) coffee either
  16. Heck yeah! Welcome.
  17. Thanks so much for the kind words, ya'll. Yeah my logic was it's kind of a Last of Us world but with Boston Dynamics robots so I felt closest to Adventurers vibes, but I can totally see why the thread should be in Sci-Fi also.
  18. Oh yeah I understand, I've recently been on a bit of a nostalgic binge of Castle MOC's and got the urge to start my own Castle build. Found the perfect inspiration in a local nearby Castle just a few minutes from where I live, started building and immediatly realized I didn't have remotely enough of the parts needed to make it. And that is considering I'm going for the 14th century version of it, which is essentialy just a single square shape with a tower attached (which did seem like the perfect starting point for me as the last time I built a complete castle was a rainbow castle as a child haha). Now I'm already 3 new BL orders in, then looking at my budget and crying a little
  19. That is fantastic, I would love to see this followed up with a tournament build
  20. Yeah that immediatly caught my eye, as somebody who worked in and studied landscaping for a long time I absolutely love well done landscape/nature mocs and this one is excellent
  21. Surprised there are no comments here, this is definitely one of my favorite brick built creatures to date, I keep finding myself coming back to it and I kind of want to build one myself.
  22. And it shows, if Lego sold models like the ones you make it'd be instant buy for me, bravo
  23. Yes indeed, now I am wondering, is it a photoshopped sky or did you take the pic outside?
  24. I absolutely love the figs and am curious if this story is getting a sequal, the one thing that slightly confused me at first was that all the characters including the orphan girl have the same hair colour so I initially assumed they were all related.
