  1. Awh, I wanted to share that! :( As long as I can buy sets I enjoy, whatever. I am not angry that the ice cream shop sells all kinds of flavours, even though I only enjoy a few. One thing I dislike tho, is the use of electronics in big Technic sets. But... I just read the building instructions online to see how the mechanics work, and buy the parts I like from bricklink so it is not that bad :D
  2. You might be able to use thinner wheels, like https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=4624&name=Wheel 8mm D. x 6mm&category=[Wheel]#T=C, that have the same radius as these tires: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=30028&idColor=11#T=C&C=11 The extra room you have in the tires, since you use thinner wheels, can be used to insert a https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=4265c&idColor=3#T=C&C=3 After that you have a +-hole you can use to attach more wheels :)
  3. I got a bulk of lego when I was 3 years old which included Lego from the sixties, but the first "complete" set I got was https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=6423-1#T=S&O={"iconly":0}
  4. According to https://store.bricklink.com/327Bricks?itemID=237319683#/shop?o={"invID":"237319683"} it can also come from a mask pack Edit: Don't mind his prices, he seems to ask a looooot of money, even for basic masks from common sets.
  5. I have this ugly thing: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=53532&idColor=80#T=C&C=80 I also have a big brick from Lego Factory 2006. Dunno about other parts that might be rare that I own...
  6. If only Lego would standardize the sizes... No logo on the studs, technic-bricks and SNOT-bricks having the holes at the same height, brackets being able to fit as mentioned in the OP,... Only problem is that you get plastic dust you need to dispose of. Does not sound healthy to breath in.
  7. Are you bored? You keep making new topics like these in the General LEGO Discussion board Edit:
  8. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=57555&name=Bionicle Squid, Rubber&category=[Bionicle]#T=C or https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=45590&name=Technic, Axle Connector Double Flexible (Rubber)&category=[Technic, Connector]#T=C
  9. Another option for Lego is to return to wooden toys, those are not so bad for the environment. I do agree that the gimmicks like clothing and electronics is something Lego should stop doing... They should also stop with the gambling. First the minifigures* and now that vidiyo. *: Yeah I know, those Bionicle masks where first...
  10. My question has to do with the comment in the post below: Since asking there is off-topic, I am wondering if here is a better place. From what I understand, the gear worm has its length of almost 2 because the size between the gaps of the screw-thread need to be the same as the teeth of the gears, and otherwise you could not stack multiple gear worms on the same axle. What I don't understand is why they couldn't make the screw-thread of the worm gear more diagonal so it would have had a size of exactly 2. @Zerobricks mentions pi, but just like @langko I do not see where the pi comes from. Can someone point me to information about this? The topic linked in that page, Technic Worm Gear 3L with Bush Ends, does not have an answer as far as I can see.
  11. Better than expected: Ultrakitty. So cute :3 Not as good as expected: Assembly square. Parts-wise it still is a great set, and it looks really good too. But the building-experience was tedious. Lots of repetition, and I like to finish a model in one go, not over multiple days.
  12. Looks really good! :) Does the gear behind the red lever do anything?
  13. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=47905&name=Brick, Modified 1 x 1 with Studs on 2 Sides, Opposite&category=[Brick, Modified]#T=C Could you use this instead of the 1x1 brick with hole, and make one side (bottom or top) upside-down? In that case you might also be able to use the 2x1 brick with studs at the sides: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=52107&name=Brick, Modified 1 x 2 with Studs on 2 Sides&category=[Brick, Modified]#T=C
  14. Something like this: Where the right-most brick should be under the 1x1 brick, with the stud in the hole.
  15. They had that chance with Friends, and they have less articulation than the normal minifigs. Any time they make something that somewhat looks realistic it does not sell well. Like Galidor, Jack Stone, etc. To be honest, I do not like that they are making the minifigs more realistic with their printing. As an example the women get those extreme hips with the black sides on their torsos. I was surprised that the new Winny the Pooh did not have an enormous belly attached to its head to go over the torso. For action figures, see the discussion about CCBS recently...
  16. It would still be difficult to attach the two 1x1 brackets together. I would use a 1x1 brick with pin hole on its side, with the bottom facing to the left (as in the picture). On the bottom of that brick (left) you then put a 1x1 plate, followed by a pin with stud, followed by that cylinder you are already using.
  17. Where are the wires of the leds going? Is there some hole drilled into the receiver?
  18. There is also elements like https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=4171&name=Electric, Train Light Prism 1 x 3&category=[Electric, Train]#T=C&C=12 :)
  19. I would not be surprised if a competitor of Lego overtook Lego. I already hear people who want to start with Lego as adults buy other brick brands as well. Opinion 1: the studs with the logo on top should disappear in favour of hollow studs, like the technic bricks have. The fact that that logo takes in place is annoying. Opinion 2: Studs on the side should be at the same height as the holes of the technic bricks. So annoying when making a MOC were I need both system and technic lego, and it does not fit tightly just because I used one or the other somewhere in the build...
  20. If you, or anyone reading this, remembers that list: please let me know! :)
  21. I have never built any GBC, but want to try it out in a competition here on EB. I do have sport balls from sets when I was a kid, seems they come in handy now!
  22. Looks very nice :) "LEGO Technic and Model Team", which makes it even more strange...
  23. I just feel that if Lego ever makes GBC, they will make a lot of new pieces so it looks more like an extreme marble run...
  24. Since I never play with finished models and I only build with lego: are there people that spend time with PF/C+/... after they are done building their MOC? With cars I can understand as you can race with someone, but like the excavator, how do people play with it? I am not being judgemental, I really do not know.
  25. There was no way to identify ourselves, so you could submit another one if you want...
