  1. Sounds like the entirety of the remaining sets will be MCU based bc of how many MCU related projects were scheduled to release this year. Not too mad at that but it really makes me wish they’d give a decent exposure to the comic designs in the CMF series. If the series goes to the MCU and so do the remaining sets, I’d be disappointed. It’d be nice if this theme was treated as an evergreen theme so we can get more than 1 CMF series down the line. And eventually some more comics sets. If the MCU is going no where maybe I should accustom myself to very little comics sets. But also Lego if you’re reading this, if we only get 1 comic wave a year can we make it for someone other than Spidey? Especially if he also has a movie coming up that same year? I promise you a comic ant man and wasp set will sell decently at worst.
  2. Good lord I am once again reminded of how low the bar is for this theme. Whether its printing, build, ratio of new figures introduced, detailed printing, original use in pieces, actual build or whatever the case may be, DC is just slacking. If it’s not an oversized vehicle with a few figures I will enjoy that.
  3. It seems everyone is okay with this going to the MCU and being micro scale, I’d like to be the voice of dissatisfaction that does not want this. A large Avengers Tower or Mansion would be ideal. Mini-figure scale D2C’s are what I want. These oversized Bat-vehicles and giant hulkbusters with 1-3 figures are appealing to, who? I want an Ewok Villaige or Cloud City type set, a minifig scale playset with many figures relevant to the source material. Asgard sounds perfect. Not sure if Lego considers Marvel an evergreen theme but I hope it does. In that case an MCU accurate Asgard sounds good for now, but assuming the line continues for decades I’d love to see a comic accurate set ( the Asgard in the movies is unique but not incredibly different from the comics version) but still we’ve gotten 2 Death Star D2C’s and I wouldn’t mind Lego throwing the MCU fans a bone as long as its relevant, but eventually I seriously want Lego to pay more attention to the comics material. We’re missing so much. But whether its MCU or comics (its almost no doubt MCU based) I do not want anymore microscale sets, and no more sets with little figures. Give us an Ewok village or Cloud City type set. Literally who see’s an oversized vehicle with no figures and goes wow can’t wait to buy that? Like seriously speak up so I can understand the reasoning, the D2C’s Lego has released for the superhero theme thus far (besides Arkham Asylum) have been pretty consistently disappointing (imo).
  4. And dare I say these are far more interesting designs than a boy wearing completely normal clothing with nothing but a violin? Am I crazy for insinuating that animal headed people and beat box headed humans, very niche ideas that push the creative boundaries of the designers and bring something new to the Lego scene are far more desirable characters when compared to figures that look exactly like something we could get in a city or creator set? Even if its not through the CMF line I’m beyond happy Lego is pushing more quirky figures. Some even resemble fabuland designs. Hope to see them bring some of that over to the CMF line.
  5. So my understanding is the summer wave does NOT include the Spider-man 3 sets? That means it can be entirely Disney plus, or a blend of Disney plus and comics? Or are the spiderman set numbers included in the set numbers for the Summer wave? Making it half Spidey half Disney plus? Then there’s always the possibility of some not all Disney Plus shows receiving sets in the summer wave leaving a few series to receive sets later on. I’m very curious to what the exact contents of this wave are, considering the prices. It makes sense if all the sets are for the shows or the movie, maybe I was thinking too wishfully that we’d get more comic based sets.
  6. Perfect. If the summer wave does not include Spiderman 3 sets this may be a revolutionary wave for Lego Marvel. It may not but imagine the possibility. The Square Enix sets will still be on shelves, as will the winter Spiderman wave. What are the odds that Lego uses this as an opportunity to give us comic sets for properties typically disregarded for Lego Marvel? We’ve yet to get a set with comic Ant-Man, the Wasp, etc. what if this is the wave they finally give us comic interpretation of figures who have so far only been given MCU variants (Guardians, Thors mythos, etc). So far our comic Marvel waves have been Spidey/Avenger dominated. With both those properties having sets on shelves maybe they’ll finally start expanding our roster of heroes who receive comic sets. Also side note please release Jessica Drew Spiderwoman in either the CMF line or a set. We need to start getting wide released versions of Bizarro, Spiderwoman, Phoenix etc. these SDCC figures can be given slightly different prints with updated faces hair molds and dual molded legs and arms if necessary but Spiderwoman should have had a wide release by now.
  7. What time of year do we usually see pictures of the summer sets? I’m just dying to see what we get. I fear the entire wave is going to go to Spiderman 3. In the event we do get some comic sets (probably half this summer wave is still going to be Spiderman 3) I hope they give us either a small comic Thor or Guardians wave. Or a few X-Men sets. People say the X-Jet selling poorly leaves no room for more X sets without a movie but I feel like the X-Men cannot possibly be that unpopular. Idk I feel if the sets gave good printing and solid builds they’ll sell well. As for the mini-figure series I better see many blast pieces and accessories similar to Series 21. The DC series felt overpriced bc many figures did not have enough accessories to meet the 5 dollar tag. As for us getting the 6 Avengers, Lucius Malfoys hair works well for a 2020 comics Thor. I really don’t want a comic Black Widow, If you switch the hair and face on the 2020 Black Widow figure she’s comic accurate. I’d view her inclusion as a wast of a slot (similar to the New 52 Superman in the DC wave).
  8. Finally some castle content!! I’m hoping they can find a way to make it both classic and unique to other sets released before. Drawing inspiration from classic Lego castles but giving us a level of intricacy and maybe even a type of architecture we’re not used to seeing. Also curious what the side builds are. The pirate ship from last year was one of the only sets where I was more invested in the alternate builds than the main build. This ferris wheel also has potential to be exciting. Not a bad wave but fish bowl sounds kind of lame.
  9. I would love for Marvel (and DC) to receive more than one series. I figure they’re both popular enough to warrant it. If they did do an MCU series I’d hope they come back and make a comics one. Also Lego should take note from this series and make any future licensed series, especially one as popular as Marvel, bigger. The 12 figure series is such a let down I wish they’d have capitalized on the popularity of this brand and make more figures.
  10. Hopefully its not the entirety of the summer wave. Okay well I’ve yet to see an MCU wishlist that looks exciting in the slightest sonI encourage the MCU fans to keep making wishlist. Obviously the cinematic universe is more appealing than the comics but you’d be surprised how many normal people began reading comics bc of the MCU. Idk the lists I’ve seen for the MCU are all underwhelming to say the least.
  11. I said it was unlikely, perhaps wishing is a more appropriate term over dreaming. Why is a comic MCU series unlikely? I would like to see more MCU fans making their wishlists bc I can’t envision an enticing series that doesn’t include some of the iconic comic suits we are missing. Ant-Man, Wasp, and Thor each have like 3 different comic suits I want to see them in. We are missing comic versions of the Guardians, Inhumans, and heroes like Daredevil, Elektra, Punisher, Moon Knight. Every MCU list i see is alternate MCU suits to preexisting MCU figures. Some lists don’t even specify the suit of the figure we are missing, simply that they must appear in an MCU variant. I think it should be split to appease both fans, an MCU series sounds so boring and every list I’ve seen made has kinda confirmed that for me. On the bright side I seem to be in the minority since you didn’t even believe a comic series is likely, so obviously the consensus is an MCU series would sell very well and is in higher demand. To each their own I suppose.
  12. Galactus, Baxter Building, X-Mansion,Avengers Mansion (comics), Stark Tower (MCU or comics) would all be neat. My two wishes are; make it minifgure scale, I understand sets like the Helicarrier and Hogwarts can’t be reasonably done to figure scale so I would hope they avoid any build that would similarly require micro figures. Even if they include normal figures I want a build they can interact with (think Cloud City). Include a higher dosage of figures, Star Wars sets have gotten 17, can we stop getting 5 max in sets as huge as this? The Batman 89 sets and the Hulkbuster all had weak figure counts. Even if it was relevant to the source material of those sets, give us a set that can produce many figures. i’m getting a feeling the summer wave is going to be Disney + sets and Spiderman 3. It’d be pretty amazing if we got an X-Men set, with all those set numbers do you blame me for dreaming? But rumor has it the Spider Copter sold better than the X-Jet so its unlikely.
  13. Assuming they follow tradition the set will be a useless vehicle with figures that have no detailed printing. Pray they prove me wrong. Seriously Lego, Bat-girl needs dual molded legs AND leg printing, thanks for giving us neither. Also try and sprinkle two new figs this wave, not just 1? Pretty please I beg your highness.
  14. In reference to the list I was talking to, he had no new characters just new variants of characters we already got. I’ve yet to see an MCU wish list I agree with. But I actually think there’s a greater share of fans who would want or be okay with an entire MCU series. I think comic fans are the minority, not the other way around. Silver Samurai, Viper, Squirrel girl, Moon Knight, Cloak and Dagger, X-Men (Storm, Jean Grey, Beast, Mystique, Pyro, Collosus etc), F4, Valkyrie, Elektra, Daredevil, Gamora, Mantis, Punisher, if a comic inspired series produced these figures I would be happiest as can be. I think a comic roster of characters like this is much more appealing than whatever the MCU is missing. I’ve yet to see an MCU list wow me. Also what do we speculate these summer sets to be based on? Call me a wishful thinker but I’d die if they gave us another X-Men set. Many have ruled out the possibility of that happening without a movie but what are the odds? Fingers crossed. Probably most or all Disney + or Spiderman sets. Hope we get a comic property lego hasn’t touched yet (F4...)
  15. I want to be excited but its probably another oversized vehicle with a few figures no one even asked for. This isn’t the mystery D2C is it? Marvel should get a D2C DC’s are almost always solid passes.
  16. I agree, if we get comic X-Men this would be perfect! Same for any comic versions of the Fantastic Four, Guardians, or any Thor related figure. Domino, Bishop, Beast, Toad, Sue Storm, Scarlet Witch, Human Torch, Vision, Moon Knight, Gamora, Mantis, so many comic characters we should definitely receive. Meanwhile I can’t think of any MCU figures missing. More Iron Man variants? Someone made an MCU list a few pages back and literally every figure was already somehow made in Lego. To be blunt an MCU wave sounds like a waste.
  17. Come to think of it the global economy has suffered due to covid no? If the series is being released during the pandemic, depending on when it was produced, it could be related to the state of global affairs. If I’m correct many countries took a hit during the pandemic economically speaking, maybe its a factor (not an economist just an idea). Amazing, any idea what time of year its release is scheduled for? I hope we get comic versions of Scarlet Witch and Moon Knight in this series.
  18. I had this idea Licensed series would be exempt from this. Its still a let down, like they couldn’t somehow make the series bigger? edit: how likely would it be for these summer sets to be Disney + sets?
  19. Disgusting. 12 figures? Why the hell did they lower the bar so low? For an unlicensed series that makes sense but for a License as big as Marvel? Especially after we saw Disney get 20 minifigures and Harry Potter get 22? This is pathetic. Marvel should have one of the biggest series. Even DC got 16. I hate this. I’m legit less excited now, I hate that Licensed series are affected by Lego’s decision to make smaller CMF waves. Whatever. Huge let down. Me thinks its Mainly Spider Man 3 but I hope we get a comic set thrown in there. Fingers crossed for at least one of those to be a comic set.
  20. Bringing back this question because I am stumped. I am still receiving so many emails from euro bricks, its cluttering my mailbox. How do I stop getting any emails from this site? Someone responded earlier and took me to a page where I thought I turned off emails but no I’m still receiving a million emails per second. I’m getting way too many emails please help I need to stop receiving emails from this site altogether
  21. This probably reflects how rare sets are. A 2013 SDCC Spider Woman is costly because there were so few copies of the figure made. So the value of every single one is very high. When you only have about 300 copies of a figure, that figure is super rare and thus costly.
  22. Amazing design, welcome.
  23. I did forget Jurassic World, but as you said they are certainly not strong contenders. It really is between Mario and Marvel. I’m happy with either. As for what the focus of the wave was, if we take notes from DC, every figure in that wave was comic based. I think the Disney Plus shows may receive their own sets. I do not however think Marvel will just be comic based because I think they understand the massive market the MCU has. This question always boggles me because Marvel produces both MCU and comic sets, the Harry Potter wave was mixed, like why wouldn’t a Marvel series also be mixed? Lego has, since 2012 released sets of various source material. The real question is what proportions would look like. 50/50 or mainly comic? I think since the MCU receives more sets, and most characters have been portrayed in some form or another in Lego, and since we’re missing so many comic based characters it makes sense to emphasize that more. If I had to guess, it would hopefully be a huge wave (dear lord can anyone confirm if it’ll have 12 figures (bc yikes)). similar to Harry Potter where only 8 figures go to the MCU and the bulk of the wave is comic based figures. The guardians, the X-Men, Thors roster of supporting characters, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Ant-Man/Wasp. We have a lot of figures who have not gotten comic variants. And even in that they have decades of different costumes to sort through. I personally want Gamora in her purple, black and white, and dark blue and red suits. I want Thor in various different forms, Marvel Now Scarlet Witch and Moon Knight, different versions of Loki. Etc etc. There’s just so many comic based characters we haven’t gotten, and so many different suits to get them in, I would hope this series throws a bone to the comic fans. Sometimes I think I’m the only one lol the Marvel thread is packed with MCU fans and I’m like the lone comic desiring fan (a complete exaggeration but I do feel the need to be vocal about wanting these things bc I am a minority (not victimizing myself get off my back)). tl;dr we most probably will get both but the comic figures are whats truly lacking and I pray we get mostly those. And also if its a theme as huge as Marvel it needs to be the size of the first Harry Potter wave.
  24. If they’re not reviving an old license then its either Super Mario or Marvel. And with rumors that Marvel was getting a CMF series (admittedly it was like 1 guy who said that and was not thrown around a lot) I’m thinking it may be Marvel. Although a Super Mario wave would be amazing. Not sure of any Licenses besides Ghost Busters that have had a few sets but no full theme. Having said that Ghostbusters definitely doesn’t have enough of a base or roster of figures to fill a wave. If I had to put money I’d bet on Marvel. Especially since we just got DC.
  25. Interesting they didn’t squeeze a wave in. Wasn’t one of the Justice League waves 2015/2018 comics wave made as a replacement wave when a movie was delayed? Any chance we could get that? Or am I confused? I could have sworn one of the comic Justice League waves was rushed to replace a movie that was delayed.
