Hey all, I’m in the states and plan on ordering some hair pieces not available on Lego.com from brick link. Since every individual sellers shipping fees vary, I wanted to ask people’s experience ordering hair pieces from brick link to and from the USA. What kind of shipping fees should I expect? If the total cost of the hair pieces combined is 3 dollars could I be looking at 15 dollar shipping? How much are shipping fees typically for orders less than $10?

Marvel Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
cosmic replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Was gifted the Helicarrier and Hulkbuster for Christmas and I must say after building the Hulkbuster, its much nicer in person. The flat head is not as bothersome and if you take the add-on seat from the shoulder it looks much nicer. Haven’t built the Helicarrier yet but plan on ordering April’s hair piece from the cinematic TMNT sets, and the new city blonde piece from 60257 (aware that’s not the first set it appeared in) for Black Widow and Captain Marvel respectively. at first I was upset we got AIM agents and no named villains for the Hulkbuster but in some ways it’s kind of fun to army build? I think at this point its the design choices for the AIM agents that bother me, like I enjoy how tactical they look but am slightly bored by their design choice. Overall very satisfied with these sets. With rescue, they printed on her thrusters on her back printing but I plan on copying the wing build used on iron man in his new hall of armor set, but in the same red rescue is printed with. Despite not having huge wings in the comics, it was more the MCU that depicted Rescue with large wings, I personally can’t wait to add them onto the figure. Overall this wave reflected what I love about this theme, the Helicarrier, Avengers Tower and Hulkbuster are all relevant builds and most of the figures this wave were impeccable, and the builds were above average. My only critiques are, Black Widow didn’t need to be in 3 sets, the Avengers Tower could have given us another Avenger. I don’t know if Vision or Scarlet Witch are in the game but I’d have liked to see someone besides black Widow. And maybe a named villain could have been dropped in one of the 3 sets where the AIM agent was the only adversary. Besides that the builds were relevant and the figured were great. In some ways spending my money on the summer 2020 wave makes me okay with skipping on the 2021 winter wave. My pockets get to heal. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 21. Rumors and discussion

This is actually a type of collectible mini figure I’d like to see more of. And its not polarizing. More pre-colonial warriors and tribes leaders. also I notice people making jokes about alien amazon workers and alien mechanic, I think the most effective way to communicate how outlandish my ideas were is seeing the banter it encouraged. that being said I’d still buy an anthropomorphic lady-bug person ala Chima or an Alien Queen any day. -

Yes I agree the Forest Maiden hair or Eowyn’s hair would have gave the figure more of a forest cryptid feel. The smiling face and regular hair make the figure feel very normal as opposed to the impact other hair choices would have given. Also don’t see why she’s so happy, she’d do good with a stern face. Also a printed crown would please me but feel free to disagree. This wave altogether see’s a lot of design choices that lean towards city if not day-to-day normal looking figures. There’s an appeal to that but the robots and aliens of this series will always be my favorite. -
Besides placing it as spam, is there an effective way to not get email notifications every time someone posts? I have gotten emails cluttering my inbox from eurobricks simply if someone (not replying to me) commented on a thread I also commented on. Is there any way to shut off emails from eurobricks besides marking it as spam?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 21. Rumors and discussion

A few things. Having just saw just2goods video; • The centaur looks better and does have a different color tail, her smiling face feels out of place. Should have been given another hair piece as well me thinks. If she had the dino tracked hair and a printed on warrior crown like Wonder Woman from the DCCU, I think she’d have more of a warrior stance to her (just a suggestion I get it may not be popular). Might pick her up and customize the figure • I hate the violin kid more. Thankfully a few of you enjoy him but to me this figure is way too generic and such an easy pass. • The Performer looks better but in person the cape piece they gave her looks more out of place than the OG photos made it seem. At least its a spare skirt piece I guess. •Alien becoming one of my favorites Box distribution is terrible and I hope whatever store I’m buying from has multiple boxes in case some boxes are missing characters like here. I had no idea Lego sold entire boxes that were completely missing figures. Not in the sense that the box was missing packets but in the sense not every figure in the series was represented. Overall -

Post about Cartoons and Anime you like

Interested in hearing others takes on this. Used to be way bigger into both comics and superhero media in general but lately have fallen almost into normie territory with how little I consume. Anyways young Justice season 3, upset by the animation, mouth movements look wrong. Drawing style is a bit awkward. Dialogue feels unnatural and the mood feels very cartoony but not in an enjoyable way. I sat through I believe the first 4 episodes and have to say I wondered what I originally saw in the show. this is part of a greater trend I find that DC is slipping in the animation department. Their newer movies may not suck but aren’t at the qualify of Mask of the Phantasm or Under the Red Hood. It’s concerning bc DC is feeling a bit too comfortable slacking on their media. Their movies are already behind Marvel, if they keep slacking on the animation side, with the way their Lego sets are looking and the nearly empty roster of shows they have on Cartoon Network (it’d almost be better for the Brand if Teen Titans Go and DC Superhero Girls weren’t on at all) DC is going to lose its brand familiarity with kids. Heck I’d say kids born in the past decade probably overwhelmingly prefer Marvel. DC needs more animated series like JLU on TV and better animated movies and more video games with better graphics and yes better movies if they want to retain a spot as top dog. As a guy who prefers DC I gotta say I’m worried about the direction the company is taking and even feel motivated to go work for DC after college and enact some of the changes I’d like to see. Radical? No plenty of people strive for dream jobs. I want to make DC great again. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 21. Rumors and discussion

Well Series 19 had a pizza suit guy, a fox suit girl and a rainbow panda suit guy. 20 had an alpaca girl, a peas in a pod suit girl and a green brick suit guy. So its on par with past series but perhaps more notable due to the smaller batch. I know right! Should have been hair clippers Since the initial comment was directed at me I’ll say this. The back and forth was more so disagreements on my proposed alterations to the series, and me responding to how I felt, either compromises could have been made or more exciting and less polarizing figured could have been made. I’m just a technical person who felt like my point wasn’t quite being expressed or understood in the way I wanted it. The back and forth was more that than actual complaining about the figures themselves. It was me throwing suggestions and responding to the critique of my critique. But either way if the back and forth that went for a page or so crowded the discussion I make no apologies because thats not a big deal to me and honestly as long as it didn’t take up 3-5 or god knows how many pages it wasn’t too crazy a back and forth (to me). But hey if cluttered messages bug you, you probably didn’t finish reading this. Hehe. EDIT: Just counted and I started my critique at the bottom of page 15 and responded to disagreements on 16 and once on 17. Having only took u the bottom of 15 and one comment on 17 on that discussion I stand by my initial point that, it wasn’t that bad (some internet forums go on tangents that can last dozens of pages and I’m the type of nut job to engage in those haha) but again if it was too much for you, I encourage you not to go on any sports forums as rumor has it disagreements there can uhh, last a while. -
LEGO Hidden Side 2020

Hope they restock Shrimp Shack Attack soon. I’m getting Monster Hunter - the Zombies vibes from this set. As in really cool affordable set from exciting action theme I should buy before I regret missing out on it. Its a shame this theme got cancelled; the high school, bus, castle, and shrimp shack attack were all amazing sets. The subway, prison, boat graveyard and lighthouse weren’t too bad either. I appreciated how many structures were incorporated in the builds. Figures felt a bit dry at times but the sets were so good you could give all these cool vehicles and structures for your own figures to explore. whatever ends up replacing this theme, assuming LEGO chooses to give us another action theme besides Ninjago next year, I hope we also get a good amount of structures. Monster Fighters also did a solid job at that. As does Ninjago it makes these action themes more desirable for me. -
Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion

Thank you @JintaiZ and @toopizza13 for the links provided. 60291 Family House - initially was super skeptical on what the bargain was gonna be. 60 bucks is honestly reasonable. I would have liked stairs and more depth to the house but the interior is better than I expected and the size, vehicle included plus the road plates makes it feel somewhat proportional to what you get. Not bad tbh but would have liked a bit deeper. Unsure how to customize. 60292 Town Center - The new road plate format is nice and interesting but kind of frustrating because of how it integrates into builds. I can imagine some feel like they have to update old displays to match this. I personally never really established my own city yet so not having this issue. Still I feel even modulars would have to be adapted to it. It looks nice but the way it rises over the floor is giving me mixed feelings. Set is also a bit pricey for me. The buildings are so shallow and only 2 cars and a motorcycle and a bench to accompany these two shallow buildings. We know the road plates sell for 20 something the 2 shallow buildings and 2 cars totaled up to 80 bucks? To me, a small car build is 10 bucks and those small buildings shouldn’t go for over 15 themselves. This set would ha e felt more appropriate at a 70-80 dollar price range. 100 feels like too much. 60290 Skate Park - I dunno. Its nice but $40? I don’t know exactly what inflation is but I’m gonna roll some dice and blame the perceived expensiveness of this wave on that. I like it but would have preferred it being $30. 60304 - Exciting. Great price point. Unsure if I want to invest in this because what if they upgrade their road system every 10 years or so? How long will this last me? I like it though and feel like it has pros and cons. It rises a bit too high for me but thats practical with how they incorporates grass and add it to buildings. Might get annoyed upgrading the sides of old buildings to match with this but if it can be done easily I may not complain too much. A part of me really likes this. Not a 2021 set but 60271 Main Square falls into the category of sets that aren’t too shabby but way too expensive for what I would want to pay for it. The rest of this wave is just cheap vehicles for moms to buy their crying toddler who won’t leave the store without a new toy, but this wave feels very in line with what i have come to expect from city. Just some sets seem to have been visited by the inflation fairy. -
Just looked it up and wow we do have that in purple! It’d be nice if they used that and his umbrella piece more often as I feel it does more for the character. The nose is an aesthetic preference, having made excuses for characters like Squidward, I feel Lego can justify one for Penguin but its inconsequential since they’ll never do it so agree to disagree. Whats even more weird to me is how the Lego Batman Movie gave us a perfect hair mold for Ivy and a solid helmet mold for Freeze, only for Lego to release both characters in the following years in simpler versions without these new molds. I think the 2020 Freeze and 2019 Ivy would have been more exciting if they used the molds released in 2018. I’d go as far as to say the 2020 Freeze is unacceptable compared to the standard Lego showed us they could produce.
-
Happy to hear a DC movie performing well. Me thinks that Lego will not release more sets but it’s still good news for the franchise. Do you guys remember the new hat mold they made for TLBM Penguin? I’d like to see that molded in purple as well as the new umbrella piece they introduced used for the mini-fig pack. I always wondered why they didn’t keep the newer molds introduced for the Lego Batman Movie in production. The newer pieces for Ivy, Penguin, and Mr Freeze should stay in circulation. Also remember the guard from Jabbas Palace? I’d like a piece that gives the Penguin a belly, or even a hair/nose piece that gives him his balding head and long nose. If we’re going to get the same characters over an over as opposed to new figs can we at least spice them up? Harley’s hammer is also built quite disappointingly.

Does anybody know a website that has all the 2021 city sets listed (in English) with their prices and pictures? I want to express my opinions on the sets but have only seen a few leaked on instagram as opposed to an entire list ( and can not find prices). thanks. -

Minor complaint but it’d have been nice if Mysterio had gold boots printed on the lower half of his legs as well as the squared textured printing that covers his suit on his legs as well. I may have picked up that set if Spider Gwen was replaced with say Black Cat or Spiderwoman. With Mysterio being the only figure I don’t own, another new fig may have drawn me in. Overall the wave has the effect of looking better than I initially thought while still not exciting me. -

On the slightest chance you mean Lego designer when you say you’re a designer, can you leave a sticky note on someones desk asking for more X-Men sets, and some comic Guardians sets? (Unless...) As long as the criticism being directed is constructive or simply a request to see something you’d like as opposed to even mentioning any product you dislike, I think communication can be done effectively. I will say communicating with Lego was an actual goal of mine in expressing disdain for their superhero stuff. I felt compelled because I really really did not enjoy the venom crawler and spider jets we’ve gotten lately, I felt like someone had to break the memo that these sets weren’t doing it. I’m still thinking of how to do it because a part of me can see how someone in their right mind would feel comfortable expressing disgust for some sets given how crappy they can be, but also understand how thats rude and counterproductive. But I would like to at least critique the current direction the theme has but I’m beginning to question if there’s any respectable way to do it. -

I was referring to the 2015 set with big fig Green Goblin, Power Man, and Mary Jane. Is the CMF series confirmed? I’m so excited for whatever they put out but hopefully it’s either 16-22 figures. I get that newer series only have 12 characters but they better up that for marvel. Also understand how profitable the MCU is but I would naturally love at least a few comic inspired outfits. Can’t wait! -

A couple of things. As others have mentioned I am not likely to criticize or shame someone’s work in the same breath I ask them for a favor. If I were to email any of these people I would simply ask for what I’d like as opposed to insulting what I didn’t. And finally I actually enjoy all 3 sets you used as an example of mediocre. For the price range I think the helicarrier pulled off what it could without raising the price (I was shocked some people were so harsh on it bc I assumed we all knew unless it’s $1000 we will never get an accurate helicarrier so we need to be okay with compromise). The avengers compound was actually one of the better endgame sets and I loved the Stark Jet from FFH. When I think mediocre superheroes sets my mind goes to the new spider base, the monster truck, the spider copter, the spider jet vs venom mech, the venom crawler, any other useless vehicle with redundant figures. MCU fans must be celebrating for these new series and the potential for new characters to come. I’m happy the cinematic fans have sets being released that speak to them. If only they could put the same effort into the comic sets. -
Well ideally I want one that does it justice (no pun intended). As a D2C or UCS set (if those even go to superheroes) a proper jokerland with a large looming clown mouth entrance and some more detailed rides and a more modular build is what I mean. The 2012 funhouse was cute and the 2015 set fell short for me but i’d like a big detailed clown park.

I’ll still voice dissatisfaction. I rest my case but alien queens and winter/fall fairies sound fun to me and violin kids in regular clothing don’t. We have different opinions and that is okay. I just hope next series has a greater share of figures that wow me. -

Do we know the total number of sets we’ll be getting for the entire year or are surprises possible? Is it just the Shang Chi sets now? Whats next years lineup looking like altogether? -
Where can I find clear pictures of the figures included in the pack? I’m interested for the Harley and Batman figures. Kinda irking if they don’t give us any real sets and settle for just the 2 we’re getting and this figure pack. At this point I don’t even know if I want any DC because I feel like all this theme is, is cinematic universe sets and Batman sets with low attention to detail to both figures and builds as well as almost NEVER giving us new figures or builds lol. Obviously we all know DC has enough source material for them to do more than this but with the small waves DC gets I imagine it doesn’t sell well. A part of me feels like, maybe it would sell better if they had more sets with Justice League heroes and villains in better sets with greater attention to the figures and builds. Maybe just maybe higher quality sets would sell more. But also investing in that is a risk if it’s already not selling well. So we are doomed. To 1-2 new characters a year unless there’s a Lego movie. Like I’m happy we got Black Canary but is there any reasonable reason she couldn’t be introduced in a set? Also that new Hermione/supergirl hair piece should be used on her next. Whatever I’m done ranting but all I bricking want is a superheroes theme worth going broke for. I want Lego to release sets so exciting I file bankruptcy.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 21. Rumors and discussion
cosmic replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I’ll say this, Oola in Star Wars reads as an alien dancer, Lobo from DC could be described as an alien bounty hunter (which I would soooo love). There are examples in popular media of aliens doing things besides just having laser guns and being soldiers or robots. I presume with your reasoning you wouldn’t be interested in seeing aliens filling other roles in the cmf series and we can agree to disagree on that. But in all fairness, popular media through comics, literature, cinema and TV (manga, etc.) given us examples of plenty of things, alien queens, alien dancers, zombie drivers, you name it. And even then, in action themes Lego has given us orc jesters and snake-men before. Lego has gotten really creative in their unlicensed action themes before with characters like Toxicita, Infearno, Pixel etc. The root of my complaint was and still is that too many figures in this series feel city like, not in a traditionally acceptable way where a cmf happens to fit into a city theme but still feels refreshing somehow (not always and ofc we didn’t always love repeated skater figs) but this series leaves a sour note in my mind in part due to the smaller amount of figures but also the amount of figures that simply don’t appeal to me. You see my reasoning as drastic and unappealing to Lego’s market (I happen to disagree bc of fun designs in themes like nexo knights, ninjago and more giving us fun concepts in new ways) and I respect that. But even without going as “radical” as giving us alien bountyhunter, spies, and Dogman creatures ala Chima (I still like these ideas hehe) I’m sure Lego could have done something more that would appeal to us both as they have for me in practically every series ( I always have initial complaints and reasons on why I want to skip an entire series and end up appreciating figures I didn’t buy more as I overlook past series) because for once in I think maybe even the first time ever, I don’t like a series as a whole. I’m only purchasing 4 figs (and admittedly excited about the Aztec and Performer the most) but aside from that and genuinely appreciating the beekeeper, this series is a hard no. Like I really don’t like most of these figures. And that’s too much negativity so I will stop. Violin boy should have been a man in concert gear and the grandpa hair. I would have appreciated it more than some normal kid with a violin. Take the saxophone player, his figure felt super appropriate for the given instrument. I’m talking too much this was an accidentally long post. tldr: there are plenty of examples of aliens filling various roles in pop culture and I just wanted some sort of creative diversion from the smiley face everyday approach they took for some figures. Maybe not my take but certainly not this either. -
