Agreed, not many interesting things on the surface, however if we looks at the crystal refelections, I can see pythor, Mr E, the mechanic, the skull sorcerer, and aspheera. This pretty much confirms the villain return, and hopefully the sets should soon follow. Really hyped to see the new golden weapons!

Well now that the orchid set has been revealed and reviewed it confirmed my suspicions. One of the parts on the plant is in fact a recoloured Demagorgan head. Unless they kept the mold of that piece specifically for the orchid set, which I think wouldn't have even been in development at the time of the upside down set release, but would have been once before the set retired, I can only hope that this is somewhat conformation that the Demagorgan head will be needed again, so hopefully this may be a further hint towards stranger things. I think at this point theres so many things that add up to there being a set coming, from a lone set with an inconsistent set number (10497), the teases from lego, the license still being around and the release of the new trailer and the season dropping next month, I think its safe to say that there is a set coming. The question is, what can it be? Personally, I'm thinking theres 3 options. Star court mall, Hawkins lab, or a season 4 location. Personally, I'm really hoping for Hawkins lab, or better yet, an upside down themed build. That would be sick. I think Hawkins lab has the biggest potential, considering the general look isn't too hard to pull off, all thats needed are those 8 x 8 girder parts that can cover it and it looks pretty realistic, I've got my own Hawkins lab moc with those parts used and it looks pretty spot on. It also looks like it will reappear in a flashback scene with eleven as well, so it seems likely, and it's been a major focal point for 2 seasons, and a minor point for season 3. My theory with the orchid demagorgan head really depends on if the designers decided to keep the mold around specifically for the orchid, or if it has a different, stranger potential and the designers just thought "Hey it looks like a flower lets use it". I hope we do get a set, and i also wonder what the figs are gonna be. ideally, all 6 party members, Steve, Johnathan, Robin and Nancy. its a high number, and considering the original 4 have already been in the upside down set, im not that confident that they would do all 10 figs, considering there would have to be other characters as well. they may get away with it if its a star court mall set, you could throw Erica in as well however if it was the lab then others such as Dr Brenner and the Demagorgan, some lab staff and Dr Sam Owens.

Agreed, I was personally hoping for Coles tread assault as the last golden weapon vehicle, although seen as were getting a dedicated mold for the scythe of quakes, if they did bring back legacy, it wouldn't be off the table I suppose. Maybe they're taking a break this year as the main wave seems to be endgame centred, and legacy will pick up after the reboot? In other news, the wizarding world had their sets revealed, straight from the official lego store so it seems this week is gonna be pretty packed with revealed hopefully. Cannot wait to see the new ninjago sets and wait for this forum page to jump by like 50 pages overnight!

Yeah, I’m aware of that now. My apologies for posting the previous post, I obviously need to do more digging before blindly spouting on about leaks. As said, sorry about that, and if I got any of your hopes up. Hopefully we get the full images soon. I hope my idea about infected civilians comes to be as well, it would incorporate the ice emperors methods and also make an interesting foe for the ninja, as they really shouldn’t be hurting/attacking the people they’re trying to protect…..

Well a “leak” has shown us what the new grunt of the wave may be, the crystal samurai. @gardenofbricks is the insta post, obviously take this with a ton more salt than usual due to the date, And I’m gonna be honest, it looks very much like an edit, the legs seem to be an exact recolour of the old ice samurais and his page seems to be mainly minifig edits. But on the off chance it’s real, the face is the most confusing. I don’t recognise it, and just judging from the look, I think this is a random civilian “infected” by the evil energy. It looks pretty fake, so take it with a handful of salt, but the face is what’s throwing me of right now. edit: this post is confirmed fake. I’ll show my gullible self out, sorry guys. Remind me to check if it’s written on the ceiling as well…..

my guess is that they where part of a larger page and these pics where just really small, and then just screenshotted (is that even a word?) and then distributed, probably from a shipping document or something like that and it just had pictures at the bottom.

Wow, talk about blurry! Those crystal temple and crystal king sets look phenomenal! cannot wait for those, and with lego avatar on the horizon its gonna be an expensive summer! Bike looks fine, golden dragon looks way to messy rn with the golden blur, looks more like a star. The mech, im not sure on. I dont like the mix of colours and its looks very close to the combiner mech and Voltron, but Im gonna judge it when we get final pics. But damn am I excited!

Well im extremely happy for the avatar sets being made, although I'm not sure how they will do it. Personally I think they made the bad guys too cool with all the tech and gunships, and I think lego may try to stray away from that and keep to the "good guys", considering the military hardware involved, but then again, those vehicles may end up being the main selling point. I really want the Samson V-2 helicopter, the most prominent vehicle from the movie and the AMP suit, and there was that crab suit mech that was revealed in concept art, plus some boats and a small submarine from film set pictures. This theme has a lot of potential, but I've seen a lot of negativity towards it about how it should have been indy or the last Airbender. lets give it a chance and see what they do with the theme.

I believe someone on instagram, maybe Brick clicker, (hopefully not legohio) said there was gonna be something on April the first on their story, however considering thats quite a solid date, that may have just been a guess. However, it is "endgame" so they may announce something. I doubt it, but it would be nice.

Honestly I think its Borgs legs. We dont really have a villain for season 3 and this thing seems to have multiple legs. Each set seems to have a "resurrected villain" and it seems its just a crystal samurai for the minifigs, so im guessing that its Borgs legs as it is an easy way to shoehorn in an old villain without the fig. If these are the pictures promo bricks saw its pretty easy to mistake that black thing in the corner for a small turret or something.

ok. so borgs legs are back, thats sort of unexpected. I like the bike, and for @zoth33 I was talking about the giant golden blades on the Cole car. My guess, as someone has already said, is its a transformation feature and the blades probably swing out or something.

Never mind, I stand corrected! Set images have leaked! Blank grey box art but the sets and figs are there. And my god is this an interesting wave! We seem to be getting black skeletons again, I dunno about that, jays bike looks alright, a little flat but fine. Coles car, also fine looking, but I’m not a fan of the gold blades. Also wings on the ninja are comically oversized…. centaur seems way to big and almost MOC like, so it’s awesome. Harumi as well.

Very much doubt it. One set doesn't mean all sets leak. They may have just stumbled across the image on a small website or something, I dont think it will be like last years bonanza where we all found the pics on a catalogue website. Those where the days........ Really, I dont think so. Its one set image, and if they had a catalogue or multiple images, I'd guess they'd release all of them. Im not sure why anyone would keep the info back unless pressured by the guy lego hired to stop leaks, they probably hunt lego leakers down like bounty hunters.... Hopefully we see pics soon, though we have a rough idea for at least 2 of the sets, the temple and the jet.

Wow, ok. This is pretty cool that it’s leaking so early! And the box is finalised, so we should be seeing the others soon! Now for the set itself. I like the jet itself, the design is sleek and looks incredible, but I don’t like the bulky large molded parts. I would have preferred to see brickbuilt. We get a look at the crystal temple as well in the background, which looks amazing, so I can’t wait for that. Where the set kinda falls though is the mini figs. I’m not a fan of the golden armour, using the large moulted wings doesn’t really do it for me, and the fact that we are getting the season 11 gear again is sort of annoying, I just want to see a new suit style, but not one that’s specialised like the winged armour. The skull sorcerer looks alright, interesting that we are getting the scythe of quakes! overall I’d rate this set a 3.5 out of 5, it looks fine, love the jet but the figs I’m iffy on. Overall I can’t wait for the rest of the wave!

Personally I hope she stays out of the way this season to give some development of the story, however from what Tommy has teased I doubt that will happen. on another note, promobricks has posted on their story what I can only assume to be a tease or hint for Ninjago of some sort, tho I’m unsure on what they could actually tease. More set details? Episode names? Release dates?

Jays electro dragon is actually really nice in the "companion" form, if you build it and do a bit of modding, it can look remarkably good. I may post a pic later of my one, but the basic gist is move the wings to just below the saddle, keep everything except the middle section of the dragon and exchange the click hinges on the neck for ball joints. Makes the dragon look 10 times better. Zane's ice mech on the other hand is pretty good, larger than the marvel mechs, lacks mobility but makes a nice display piece. I'd see chubbybots "upgrading the ice mech vid, he does a cracking job. Figs are good as well, you get one of the new stud shooters.

There's a couple of google drives about, I dont have any to hand at the moment and there are episodes on YouTube. shouldn't be too hard to find. as for my thoughts on season 3:

The countdown to the final battle has begun! Where are those horns of destruction? In all seriousness this is a mixed bag. I like the crystal concepts, and the returning villains sound amazing, plus the golden winged ninja! The sets also sound pretty good, the only one I’m not looking forward to is the golden ultra dragon, it’s using blades for wings. Best sets from what I can figure out are the crystal temple and the Cole speedster. Plus the large mech for Nya, that’s gonna be interesting. My only question is the villains, how will they return? The skull of hazzardur was destroyed by Cole, unagami should be good now, and I suppose garmadon could come back. Oh well, I can’t wait for pics!

so a Twitter post from Tommy Andreasen has stated that " we hope to welcome a bunch of new kids to ninjago with some fun, light hearted and kind of crazy stories, and then later conclude the year with the most epic and ambitious love letter to the fans and ninjagos long history we could dream up!" I feel like this further cements my theory of a final battle type wave, but not a "final" final battle. I think this is gonna be the end to something big, and coupled with the "golden dragon" idea of the sets, I cant help but feel desperately excited for the summer. Im sure ninjago will continue, and im looking forward to where the crew are taking it!
