  1. Croc Cav! The Loti don't stand a chance now!
  2. In a small but ornate government office in downtown Breshaun, Admiral Beauchamp has been settling into his new position as a member of the high council. Tapping with his cane on the next chest to go, "This one here... *tink tink* deliver to the RNTC headquarters if you please." Chests full of DBs lined the far wall of the office, under the extended map of the Brick Seas. Payments to ship masters across Oleon for their services in confronting the looming threat of the Lotii. War had taken on a new scope for the retired naval tactician. It now existed as a series of ledgers and movement tables. The sinews of war truly are unlimited money. A staggering amount of shipping was required to move the preponderance of the Army to New Haven.
  3. It's here! It's here! It's finally here! With such long gorgeous hair! The rigging is insanely good. I love the small vent and skylight (there is probably a nautical term, sorry). The ship and scene around it are terrific!
  4. Croc-Links Croc Sausages, small artisan
  5. "Here on Croc Islands, croc huntin' is easy and-ah way-ah life. Dats why we call it dat. What is more challenging is getting your croc based products to stand out in an already oversaturated market! It is a classic example of Adam Smith's invisible hand at work," explained the scruffy cook/cashier/owner of the small artisan shop. Frankly, it was a jarring transition from the fluid swampy version of the King's own into the polished meter of a university student recounting economic theory. As he talked, his hands moved lightning fast and his eyes never looked up from his work. Beaming, another satisfied customer exited with a double order. Causing the owner to nod his head just a bit and go back to explaining that after a formal education in Granoleon, he had traveled the brick seas looking for just the right set of spices to return home to Croc Island to perfect his masterpiece. "People talk about 'farm to table' in Granoleon, but they have never eaten croc meat caught fresh that morning... all our meat is locally sourced, fresh, never frozen, free-range, no hormones... People don't appreciate where their food comes from in the big city." "I hope to teach people about where their food comes from, not just feed them..."
  6. So being careful to not take a side and talk politics in this safe space we all have here, I know I am personally pretty sad and upset about the events unfolding on the world stage right now and I hope that none of you and your families are involved. The older I get, the more I appreciate peace. It is a tragedy for all of us when and where we do not have it (even when we feel war is necessary, it is still tragic).
  7. Large Uniform Factory to support the large military presence of the 1st Grenadier Guards
  8. With the permanent stationing of the Garde de Grenadiers du 1er Régiment (1st Regt Grenadier Guards) in North Sillitholina, so too have the traditional panoply of war, camp followers, and military micro-economy followed to Terra Versa with them. A common sight outside any military post, but certainly any "Guard" unit chalked full of nobles offspring serving their expected service, a fine uniform factory has now opened on the bluffs North of the Sil River. The factory, itself, takes on a martial look, a familiar barracks type layout and front face. Within, seamstresses toil away... to keep pace with the ever expanding need in this now military town. The Large Factory space holds enough room for a tailor shop and fitting room. New recruits, having passed the rigorous selection process to this elite formation, bubble over with pride as they walk in with their first paycheck and uniform bonus.
  9. The slope up to the palisade came out really nice. The build has a ton of depth for the size. Well done.
  10. Your style is so unique, I love all your posts. Great work adding some cool variety to our little universe
  11. Great little chapter added to the story!
  12. @Ross Fisher and @Ayrlego. I am almost perfectly certain that all 70 of Roos's troops are serendipitously amongst the 1200 in Nola Mar. (If that is a convenient solution). 1 step further, Ross, if you don't have a desire to keep them separate as a private force, we could roll them into the Army with requisite paperwork *maybe a troop move form, not sure* and have them taken off your books and placed on the Oleon account?
  13. Very cool idea that builds the story of rapidly expanding defenses very well!
  14. I strongly second moving the soccer cup to Nola Mar! Demonstrate that the island of Terraversa remains a welcome crossroads to all, highlight the rebuilt infrastructure of the city and island, and offer a interesting combo of soccer tournament and religious pilgrimage to many devout across the Brick Seas.
  15. Awesome thanks, no issue just needed to know when we draw the line to know where we currently can and can't recruit and when that resets. THANKS
  16. Hi gang, probably a question for @Bregir, when do we snap the line resetting troop recruiting and fort building for the turn? Troop rules say it is by MRCA, but specifically, just before the KPA was published I raised troops in Fatu Hiva and yet, OL intended to raise troops in Fort Arltrees and I dont think we did before the KPA. So where do we mark the turn break to know if it is too late to build troops in Fort Arltrees "this" turn and when do we enter the "next" turn for more troops I. Fatu Hiva. Is it KPA to KPA or MRCA input cut off to MRCA input cutoff? Or something else?
  17. Glad that was appreciated. Soldiers pride themselves on their experience and demonstrate it by wearing faded old uniforms with the marks of many long campaigns. Officers pride themselves on discipline and professionalism and so clean sharp new uniforms are expected. Also, a sign of class that Officer's should not be too broke to buy a new coat when needed.
  18. Two companies of the 1st Grenadier Guards have arrived in Fatu Hiva to take on fresh water and supplies enroute to the New Haven Sea. Colonel Beauchamp thought it would do the long beleaguered city some good to see the Crown's elite troops in full panoply and so marched them out in style upon disembarking. Even though the stop was only a temporary waypoint enroute lock horns with the Lotii, the sight of the grenadiers seemed up uplift the hearts of the recently liberated population. Beauchamp wondered how the people of Fatu Hiva felt to know that his orders were to fight a combined campaign along side Red Coats. Certainly, there would be strong opinions here, even if all could rationally understand the value of cooperation in the face of a more urgent foe. Still though, the stop in the city reminded all of the importance of the upcoming campaign, the foundation for a lasting peace that success could bring, and the sea of potential crises that failure would give rise too. Though all, remembering the plight of Fatu Hiva in the recent war reminded all that there was much distance between "working with the Red Coats" and "Trusting the Red Coats." Note: This is an new EGS Troop Raising Build, but carries the story forward as the new troops in Fatu Hiva are freshly arrived enroute to New Haven from Terraversa.
  19. love the perspective shot. Does this actually constitute troops arriving in New Haven. The discussions opened up after the last MRCA closed I thought so as of yet I'm tracking we all haven't had a turn to start moving troops. I ask cause I was tracking we were all bound to not even shipping troops off until NEXT MRCA and so if there was some easing of that to get this campaign underway we are all in.
  20. ***Interested in Becoming an LBSF Shareholder?! See Details at the Bottom of this Post*** With the blessings of the high council and a freshly signed charter from the King himself, the merchants and nobles of Oleon have established a new trade venture: Le Bellan Shipping and Freight. The Company maintains its headquarters in a venetian style royal palace in Eltina. Admiral Beauchamp gifted a large warehouse to the LBSF to serve as their initial trade terminal. As well as the donation of a newly launched CL V trade ship, the LBSF Demeter. Expanding and Diversifying in New Haven with the establishment of the LBSF Wheat Farm in Fort Arltrees and the adjacent mill to support hungry troops. ***Interested in Becoming an LBSF Shareholder?!*** Why Invest with LBSF? 21. Smith's Smithy, a Large Factory
  22. "Good morning, and welcome to my smithy, I am Jacque Smith, owner, manager, and master blacksmith." "Wait, your name is smith? you are Smith the smith? And this is Smith's Smithy?" "Yes, yes, my family has been blacksmiths for generations back in Granoleon, my brothers now run the family smithy back there and I set out to establish a branch in the new markets of New Haven" "But your name is SMITH... and your the SMITH!!?" "Sigh... yeah... you got it... like 'Cooper' became a family name for... Coopers... Smith became a family name for Smiths... so yeah... my family has always been blacksmiths, so thats what the neighbors called them.... Can I help you with something? We have a wide variety, if you would like, you can come in back and take a look at the racks?" *holding back giggles* "Ok... SMITH... whatever you say... SMITH" "Yup... that's me... owner of this large factory here in Fort Arltrees, giving access to fine crafted iron goods for this growing town... and keeping names simple for those that are easily confused." *Slapping leg, laughing hysterically, and walking away without buying anything* "HAHAHA! YOUR NAME IS SMITH... AND YOUR THE SMITH... AT THE SMITHY! AH HAHAHAHA!" "And a fine day to you, Sir!" Smith calls shaking his head and then mutters, "moron."
  23. I like the SNOT ivy running down the sides of the staircase. Smart use
  24. Homesteaders on the edge of the empire. Large Residence
  25. On the end of the empire, brave homesteaders carve out lives for themselves. In New Haven, an Oleander settler on the outskirts of Fort Arltrees has created a large homestead for him and his family. The large residence provides food enough for the family, plus a little extra for sale and trade. Our homesteader is a tough frontiersman, but hides a soft spot for the two family horses. More than once, he has been caught chatting with them as if they were in deep conversation together. Stables, chickens, vegetable plots, a couple horses who are always willing to listen, what more could a weathered frontiersman want. Licensed as a large residence in Fort Arltrees.
