This is what I don't get since a perfect business case could be made based on the data from bricklink. Both the current rate of cost, units exchanged and the trendlines could all be gleamed publically...so that excuse is baloney. Also find this the case for the insane amount of stickers we get... Also, i'd imagine given there's multiple factories in the world, wouldn't there be multiple moulds?

Considering they made a Toy Story set with the conveyor belt to burn all the toys, and a playable feature to MAKE it happen, I don't think DH is that much worse of content to pull multiple sets.

Welp...not sure if it's the surprised excitement of this wave, getting a renewed jolt to my love of this theme, but I succumbed to the dark arts and bought the D2C 2018 Hogwarts. Not the biggest fan of microscale, but lordy, that set looks amazing for display and I've been eyeing it since I got back into Lego last year. My wallet is not happy, but I hope I will enjoy it. You did it again, Lego. You got my money and will get more with the 2021 wave.

My guess is that it's somewhat like the Obi-Wan 20th Anniversary "polybag" figure.

Pleasantly surprised how well many of these sets turned out! Wish we never got the preliminaries at this point and just basic info of what the sets were. I definitely plan on getting almost all of them. My rankings so far and so surprised how much I now dislike the chess set. Won't get the Maxifigures but like the concept and the possibilities in the future for these. I'm in the same boat. Wait and see what it looks like exactly, but most likely put the money towards other sets I want and just bricklink any Gold minifigure from this set.

What's the likelihood that the Golden Hedwig is a picture of the sets BEFORE printing? Is that even possible that these are test ones? I too think it's probably lecturn but wanted to see from some that are more knowledgeable about the process of lego creation.
