Super easy, i'd think. The anniversary sets seem to show the "basement" being where the events happen. Logic would dictate that if they are including some fo them, you should be able to play the entire scenes of Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets. The sets would connect behind the sets with some easy connection pieces. A lesser amount set would be much easier than a 250 set to accomplish this. Taking a look at ALL former chess sets Lego has made, i can easily see this to be done (and to be a complete playable chess set). If the piece count is actually correct, then I can see it being less likely to connect. Perhaps too much wishful thinking now to assume that you can play out the enitre scenes.

Yep, looking at Lego history, when they've made a Chess Set, it seems to almost ALWAYS to be a full chess set. 4 different kinds of pieces to the edge, and it connects to the Anniversary Set. No precedent for it NOT to be a full chess set, especially given the movie and the book, they play an actual game of chess.

Interesting - a generic-type Hogwarts Grounds could include a lot, be similar to the Hoth Set a while back, including a lot of different Hodgepodge of things, INCLUDING a Flying Lesson area.

Yep, and he continued to reiterate that AFTER the change up. I suspect D2C Gringots will be 2022. Frankly, if that Egg is a HP set and is a Norbert Egg....makes me think a Leaky Cauldron is coming, since that's where Hagrid got it. Not sure where else a Norbert Egg would come in this year.

And rudely of Guyon too. I for one appreciate all the work the good leakers do. I'd have a difficult time keeping knowledge under wraps to protect my sources and don't know how they do it.

Dobby's Sock HAS to be the Buildable Characters...

Given the piece count, it makes sense for it to easily connect to the other Anniversary Modulars. I kept wondering HOW that was going to be the case with such an expensive set.

I do and cautiously hopeful for the D2C to be some kind of large nice looking set. Definitely seems after this change, I'll be buying more of them. So far, all of them other than the buildable characters.

Yeah if it's a Remeberall - probably some kind of odd Flying Lesson set. Then...the D2C could be anything...oh my.

If Hooch is in August wave - I would speculate it's a Quidditch Match set. The only time Hooch Wore goggles like that in her minifigure leak was during the Slytherin/Gryffindor match in the first movie where Harry caught the Snitch in his mouth.

OH wow. Clearly going to be JUST minifigure sized, like the other Chess Sets they have made.

Mine are similar Hogsmeade - absolute fan of the Wintery kinds of sets and will be a great addition to the Winter Village theme at Christmas. Chamber of Secrets - For all Lego-Freak said Polyjuice Potion - fan of cats and wanting the Cat Herimone and having Crabbe and Goyle make this an instant buy even if it is oddly shaped set build-wise. Chess Set may knock Polyjuice, but i want to at least see a Preliminary.

I guess it matters what sets from 2018-2020 line will still be on the market for the entire year and well into 2022. If they extend those that time, and have a lot of older playsets still out, then they have struck a balance with the Fall 2021 wave. I wish I could tell, I'm still convinced there's been some kind of staff change in the HP department at Lego, and either some designers changed or some mid-level managers in HP department changed.
