  1. Bingo - they have helped adjust our expectations so we can get a bit excited about it to the point we don't kill off the HP sets completely by our frustrations. Now we have reasonable expectations, we can have reality based-speculation and thus think some of the sets are cool and possibly buy more. IF we were expecting one thing and another thing completely came, many, probably including myself, would have probably just not bought them.
  2. I'd personally really enjoy the flashback seen of Dumbledore visiting Tom Riddle's Orphanage. CMF would be a great scene for it.
  3. My guess now is Motorized Hogwarts Express with Hogsmede Station. That would possibly be my reaction. Part of me would be really pumped for it, since i really like the look of the original one, but as a modern collector, it comes too soon after the Hogwarts set and wouldn't care to spend that much money on it if it looks similar.
  4. If i was designing the set, to make it recognizable, I'd include Leaky Cauldron, Eeylops Owls, Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions. Leaky Cauldron would be the anchor set. However, doubt it'd be this since they are more obscure than Gringotts, Olivanders or WWW. Most likely it'll be something more frustrating and annoying like miniscale or brickbuilt large-scale something. If that's the case, i'd save me money to by something else. LIke @MaxHeadroom, I can't see what else it could be that would be a great must buy.
  5. Well, it could always be a Diagon Alley Expansion (WITHOUT Gringotts Bank) - like the other side of the street. Still great, and includes other minifigures missing from the Diagon Alley one. Could also be Knockturn Alley. I could also see a great modular-style Grimmauld Place or Malfoy Manor, but with the Dailey Beagle Skyscrapper, I'd be surprised if they make it since non Creator Expert Modular-like buildings may be too similar.
  6. I could see that being a GREAT new Modular system (and one that can be built vertical! It could also, in the future, have Fantastic Beast sets as well.
  7. Marvel is now the new Borg...Resistance is Useless! Not going to lie, i'd buy that D2C easily.
  8. If they did a Quidditch Match, my guess would be a Slytherin and Gryffindor team since Lego seems to like "fun battles" as well as a dearth of movie-centered characters from Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. For fun, I found all the possible Quidditch characters. Bold included in movie in more than just a basic background character (as far as I recall). Based on this research from the wiki - it seems there's very few people not from the movies in Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. Many of those additional names are from a computer game. My guess is if they made a D2C Hogwarts Quidditch Pitch, it would include 3 to 5 characters on each Slytherin and Gryffindor, with Hooch as referee, and for possible atendees - Quirril and Snape, Dumbledore, Ron and Hermione For Gryffindor If First/Second/Third years - Harry, Oliver Wood, Angela Johnson, Katie Bell, Fred, George, Alica Spinnot If fifth year+, possibilities for a Gryffindor team include - Harry, Ron, Ginny, Angela Johnson, Katie Bell, Fred, George as main stays, and a bunch of alternates occurred( Andrew Kirke, Jack Sloper (fifth year beaters),Demelza Robins (sixth year chaser), Jimmy Peakes and Ritchie Coote (sixth year beaters). Specific game Alternates included in sixth year Cormac McLaggan (replaced Ron while he was in hospital), Dean Thomas (played two games while Katie Bell was in hospital, For Slytherin First two years - Marcus Flint, Adrian Pucey, Miles Beltchly, Terence Higgs (only first year), Draco Malfoy (2 year+) Year three saw inclusion of - Graham Montague, Cassius Warrington, Peregrine Derrick, and Lucian Bole Year Five - Crabbe and Goyle joined the team as Beaters Year Six - Blaise Zabini, Urquhart, Vaisey and Harper For Ravenclaw First three years (Full roster only known by year three in books) - Roger Davies, Randolph Burrow, Jeremy Stretton, Jason Samuels, Duncan Inglebee, Cho Chang, Grant Page Year 5 - Chasers were added, Chambers and Bradley, For Hufflepuff First Three years - Cedric Diggory, Herbert Fleet, Anthony Rickett, Maxine O'Flaherty, Heidi Macavoy, Tamsin Applebee, Malcon Preece, Michael McManus Year Five - added Zacharias Smith, Cadwallader, Summerby
  9. Ooo, then it could be both possibilities! If they do a Quidditch Pitch of any size, this would mean it's much more disappointing, as we'd easily get both Harry and Draco in that set as well.
  10. I'm not sure it's from the flying lesson since the leaked Hooch minifigure appears to have goggles. The only time, I recall, that Hooch had Googles in the movies were at Harry's First Quidditch Matach against Slytherin which she was the referee. Hair also looks like a pretty close match since in this scene it's slightly lighter gray than the Flying Lesson one. If that's the case, I can see a Harry's First Quidditch Match with Slytherin and Gryffindo as the main theme for a D2C Hogwarts Quidditch Field. Accessory Pack would be an addition so people can make different teams.
  11. Yep, I'd be not immensely excited, but definitely a little excited if it is the D2C. I can envision a set about the same size of the Coliseum in width and somewhat in height (the main towers) with a great selection of minifigures. About 10-15, with a golden Dumbledore.
  12. I just don't know what other set Hooch could come with if not some kind of Quidditch. After looking through the wiki Harry Potter on the character - possible options A buildable Firebolt? D2C Quidditch Field Philosopher's Stone - Quidditch Training Grounds D2C Quidditch World Cup She's part of a Great Hall set with Teacher's Table Set containing Madam Hooch's office Quidditch Accessory Pack (Like the Hogwarts Students Pack) IF not a Quidditch match, I could see the Accessory Pack being a good set Hooch is in.
  13. Prisoner of Azkaban is one of my wife and I's favorite film. Both enjoy a good time-travel kind of story.
  14. That'd be really great. The description of this set is definitely one at the top of my list. Love that scene!
  15. My speculation is now is one of the more expensive sets could be a more massive Quidditch Match set based on the first or second movies. My other speculation, with the odd choice of a Quirrill Gold figure, is that both the Summer and Fall waves focus mostly on the first two movies for the sets. Were any of the rumored sets not from the first two movies? 3 of them for sure were, but can't tell what Hogsmede set would be based on. My guess is that most of the Fall sets will be Philosopher's Stone or Chamber of Secret based sets.
  16. From what I can gather, and as a Star Wars fan myself myself, Star Wars collectors are very picky and want completely new things, even though Lego, as a company, is designed to recreate sets for new kids, since the old kids age out. Same can be said for HP too, but it's difficult to see if that's the case. I think that is what worries many HP since the newest wave is so new they haven't gone through that new iteration for the new kids. Myself, as much as I don't like the new ones, I can find something great in each set that will make be buy them. I've joined the Deatheater society that is HP lego collectors, so unless it 100% doesn't Spark Joy (I see you HP Art set), I will buy them and enjoy them. Seeing all these little details in the old sets, makes me want to buy the used ones. Suppose I'm not supposed to have any extra money these days...
  17. I agree. An updated version of many of the older run sets could have evoked the nostalgia while modernizing it for the current waves. I can picture many of the old sets, especially teh smaller ones like Troll on the Loose, smaller Diagon Alley Shops, and Gryffindor House, looking well next to the 2018-2020 wave. The 2001 Forbidden Corridor set, in particular, could look great modernized, with something comparable to the 75953 Whomping Willow set, and with focus on the interior. I think they do this fairly well, in a way, with 4721 Hogwarts Classrooms. They took that small set, expanded it and made for interesting and unique sets, and giving us a few great minifigures. For the summer wave, it seems they "kitbashed" some of the small sets without modernizing it to the current wave. In my opinion, Instead of finding a balance of nostalgia and modernity, they focused more on the nostalgia aspect. For me, I may be in a minority, as I wasn't collecting back then so the nostalgia focus falls flat for me. I simply don't understand the marketing point of this from a newer HP fan. Though, or others, this could be remarkably fun harking back to their childhood, and hope that it brings great fun for them. Since we didn't get the interiors, really, in the leaks, I'm excited they may try to do something similar to this!
  18. Wow, very cool. What set was that in?
  19. Assume he was under an Imperius Curse by @LordVoldemort...
  20. Also a Golden Anniversary Dobby Sock
  21. Definitely forgot about the specific series # for art. Definitely would be categorized in that set if they do specific things in the Art series for other Licensed products. Ugh. If only they would make a LOTR relief map...
  22. Eh, my impression was that KA1's action kinda sus.
  23. Perhaps something like a D2C Maurader's Map Wall Art?
  24. Noooo. HOW DARE YOU SIR (Snark)
