  1. FWIW I think it looks like Jan 14 release date. Either way, not too long to wait.
  2. I want to say that I saw a label on it in my local LEGO store (Boston, US), although it was a small circle protruding from the shelf. I'm fairly sure I saw it a few weeks ago, but I may be an unreliable witness having now seen that. I definitely saw it on Assembly Square, that is also not listed on the retirement lists. I noticed several of the labels in the store, and I think it was on the coaster too. I may go back on Friday, so will confirm.
  3. It looks so nice! I saw someone on Reddit had put the temple fair on a base plate too. Would look really good with the spring lantern festival.
  4. I saw a similar 'last chance to buy' sign on it at my local LEGO store. I was surprised. Making me think about whether I should get a second for MOC purposes.
  5. The teaser background image from the brochure certainly had me thinking that it would be more of a jungle vibe, with towers rising out of it, that were older. And although it would have been great for the whole thing to be 'hanging gardens of Babylon' style, I think this ties in with Ninjago City very well. A different style wouldn't have complemented the city set particularly. I wonder if the temple on the side will be detachable on a 16x32 baseplate and could be put on the right instead of the left. Given the colours and style, I'd likely want to attach this to Ninjago City on the comics/cherry blossom tree side, and having that connect directly to the tall towers and new city walkway would be good, rather than the old city template causing a gap. If not, it will hopefully be fun doing a rejigging of it and partial mirror building.
  6. But the vast majority of LEGO-produced Ideas sets are based on IPs. So while they won't do it for the BrickLink project, because getting the IPs and licensing them is expensive and time-consuming, it's important to have the ideas for their main Ideas sets.
  7. You mean they'll have two of them in 2021? And another four in 2022? The fairground rides are probably my favourite models, but they do take up a lot of space. As much as it would be nice to see something cool in 2021, I'd also be happy to wait a year.
  8. StoneWars has put together a list - https://www.stonewars.de/news/bricklink-afol-designer-program-runde-2-ideas/
  9. Is it just me not seeing this image? I only get a grey box.
  10. Promobricks is reporting that the Ideas car 40448 will be a GWP for spend over Eur85 on anything, so not limited to the modulars. Which hopefully means they made enough stock not to sell out within a few minutes like the Hagrid BrickHeadz for Harry Potter.

  12. That's stunning! Terrific work. I hope you're very pleased with it. Thanks for sharing.
  13. New Xtra polybag for 2021 to add additional accessories to the CNY sets. https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-xtra-2021-polybags-head-down-to-chinatown/
  14. The new Creator taxi and tuk tuk sets have photos. The tuk tuk looks particularly nice. https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-creator-brings-new-ways-for-minifigures-to-get-around-in-2021/
  15. I hope that it's a generic GWP and not tied to the police station. I expect the police station will sell out really quickly, and it would be really frustrating to not be able to get that beautiful car.
  16. I'd settle for the most recent Ideas sets to actually be in stock, rather than more new ones added that will also be out of stock within minutes. But yes, will be great to either of the new upcoming ones.
  17. And yet I think that it reflects real life far more accurately, so there's always that to look to. Other than very, very old cities (but even then, they're updated), or very, very new cities, you do get an eclectic mix. May not be want you want in your model city, which is fair, but could be another reason they choose to do it.
  18. They go to the back door and outside. But there is still the intrigue of the crack in the foundation wall so there might be something else to it.
  19. The use of the walkie talkie and the informs make it feel more 80s than 30s or 50s like the previous modulars. I wonder if they're going to do more 80s stuff (would bode well for an arcade)? Having said that, I was curious so looked it up, and walkie talkies were invented in the 30s and made handheld in the 40s, so could be no change in era at all. Probably depends if a computer is included.
  20. Hurrah! When I saw that set at the start of the year I thought it was terrific. I also thought it wouldn't get to 10k, as it was quite old and was still at 7 or 8k supporters, so I've been constructing my own version of it. It would be awesome to get an official LEGO version too, but sadly I suspect not. Here's hoping!
  21. ...stairs... Oh, wait ;) Just for fun. It's lovely.
  22. +1 from me, so that's two at least. But also the joy of the modulars is that so many different people can enjoy then. Those who like the exteriors, interiors, building techniques/experience, play features, standalone display, city building, or modifying. I'm just looking forward to the next one.
  23. Promobricks has said that there will be a Golden Wu in the gardens, but no new information or images in the video.
  24. The Brick Fan website has published the official pictures on the new Flower Bouquet 10280 and Bonsai Tree 10281. I assume it's ok to post the link as it's a known news site? https://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-botanical-collection-2021-sets-revealed/
  25. Probably. I did say it was an opinion that wasn't worth a lot, but gives a data point. I completely appreciate that they're intended for adults, but a lot of those adults will be parents. The only reason I started getting modulars was because my daughter started playing with the Ideas Treehouse so much. So from LEGO's perspective, they've go an adult to buy a load of modulars through having some play features. For others it will be interior details. For others (many) it will be exterior detail. Either way, I'm pleased that they balance it. And I like that so many people (of all ages) enjoy them. Looking forward to seeing the 2021 model.
