I need to find a way to properly do this on Eurobricks, but for now, link to an image on Reddit - Nice arm printing on the knights too. And there's a matching torso that I've got as a wizard, but could be something else. Then the red one is somewhat king/leader like. Maybe a bit pirate-y, but still feels in line with the others to me.

I was really impressed looking through the pictures today. Some of the sets are terrific, to match great figures. I have the five figures from wave 1 that I wanted, and I can definitely see getting some of the new releases. Especially the punk pirate ship. They still feel expensive though. If you compare to a Friends set, for the same size build, I would expect maybe a 20% lower price? But that's probably the cost of all the prints and new parts. As many others have said, they definitely should have released some of these sets in the first wave. They make it so much more usable and interesting.

If you're near a LEGO Store, the Build A Minifigure selection is pretty good at the moment, with several elements related to castle-type figures. I've had two wizards, several knights (all in green though), and what could be a mayor, or maybe king torso.

Have to admit that VIDIYO pirate ship has won me over. I recently got the 70848 Systar Party Crew with a dance party Metal-Beard, and this seals the deal that I need to modify the Sea Cow to be a punk party pirate ship and put a few of these into it. That way it can easily with with Ninjago City and not the odd half-way point between that and the standard pirates stuff.

Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
RichardGoring replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
If anyone is near a LEGO store, one in Boston has recently had the 38801 snake piece in as part of the Build A Minifigure section. You can also get them from Bricks and Pieces for about the same price, but still a nice accessory option. -
Agreed. I like the yellow. I think the balance is really good. It feels very much like a living castle. But maybe you'd call it a fortified town, rather than a true castle, so may not be what you want. I'm a fan though. It will work really nicely with the Ideas Blacksmith too, although shame the scale is going to be very different.

Jurassic World 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Would love to get Lex and Timmy in a new set (76940). I missed 75932, although I should probably just get it, as it's not too expensive yet. But in general more Jurassic Park sets would be awesome. It's such a great film, so recreating more of the scenes feels fair - and I don't feel sorry that it takes up a slot for the various non-canon sets. -

And within 22 minutes they are out of stock again (at least for the US). -

Yes, I realized, sorry. But if anyone was looking at minifigure scale over the original Ideas one, it's nice. I don't recall anything illegal in it, but it's definitely a MOC and not as stable as a formal LEGO set usually is. The UCS one is amazing, but I think it's about $300 to get all the pieces. It does look terrific though. -

I really hope you're right. And assume that you wouldn't have posted it if you didn't think it was true! I saw Brick'n It on YouTube show the minifigure scale BTTF DeLorean on BrickVault, so I got it, and it's awesome. Spent far too much on the license plate and Doc and Marty Dimensions minifigs/accessories, but otherwise it's all pretty standard stuff that's easily available. It looks awesome. Far better than the the CUUSO original (although to be fair, also much more modern). https://www.brickvault.toys/products/delorean-time-machine -
Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

I only managed to get six pages into the 20 created so far today so it may have been pointed out already, but Target is advertising pre-orders from tomorrow, including the Target exclusive set. So it suggests the official reveal tomorrow. -

All Microsoft Surface computers have a 3:2 aspect ratio. But I suspect it's not that. Maybe it's the classic photography source ratio they're going for. Or just trying to make the images slightly more mobile friendly, as people never seen to rotate their phones, but they don't want to go all the way to the Instagram square. -
Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

You can just imagine: Press release from The LEGO Group and Warner Brothers: We're pleased to announce that 2021 brings one our greatest Harry Potter sets ever. A marvelous 3,413 piece model of Dobby's Sock. Part of our Ultimate Collector's Series, the sick will be brick built using a new colour called ultra white, for that freshly washed feel. And then they announce that is an April fool's joke. In fact the sock will be made from tan pieces instead. -

Useful pricing info, thanks. Suggests a 20-30% increase on the price you might expect if it came directly from LEGO, which is probably fair enough. Really odd about Robenanne's sets. Surely they knew about the history before including them in the program? You can't get this far into it and then discover it, can you? Although the V-22 Osprey and City Crook's Hideout went even further, so what do I know?! -

Any thoughts on what? 10, 11, 12c per piece? More? At what level is it just better to buy the parts? About 20c pp? -

That's awesome, but it assumes the same price per piece of a standard LEGO set. But these will be smaller production runs and possibly include more hand packing, removing some of the normal economies of scale. Plus a much higher proportion of the day cost going to the designer (10% vs 1%). Although, no printed instructions, no prints, and little/no marketing cost? Maybe it balances out? What were the piece counts and costs of the original run a few years ago? -

Conspiracy theory time. Scrap that. Don't want this to turn into talk about sources again. -

That's how I hope they interpret their own language too - setting a limit of the number of any one set you can order. -

Very clever. Remembrall it is then? You could possibly come up with cool mechanism inside it, a bit like a snow globe. Funky printing on the outside. -

I was hoping that the no limit part on the FAQ was on the variety of sets you can order, rather than the absolute number of any one set. Otherwise, you just know that someone, or several people, will swoop in and buy several hundred sets for resale, which would be such a disappointment. -

There are so many amazing designs. I counted 14 that is be delighted with and a further 11 that would be cool to have. So pretty likely that at least one of those will make it. Shame it's limited to 13. But then at the same time, very pleased it's limited to 13! With only 5000 of each set available, I hope they limit it to a small number per person, otherwise I can see these selling out in minutes, and then spring for three times the price on eBay ten minutes later, which would be a real shame. I'll be happy if I can get one. -
Protected and not used for anything else. So in this case, the torsos should have had a sufficient budget assigned and then not reallocated. Although I'm not sure there is any evidence to suggest this actually happened, and that LEGO comprised on the torsos.

Many, many stickers. The Winnie the Pooh set has quite a few too.
