Fortunately I bought my quota when they first showed up on the U.S. Lego website. The Lego stores I infrequently get to shop at never seem to have what I want when I visit when it comes to the small sets like this. I know they didn't have either this HP set or the Minions one when I went last month. They had plenty of the Student pack though.

Honestly I want some of the characters more to get the different colored heads and body parts to be used elsewhere, a few of the characters I do want for what/who they are. If I accidentally end up with the zombie one so be it but I'm not purposely going to try/need to get it. Had the two boxes I got been all twelve characters I would have been good with them. The Zombie Captain America does absolutely nothing for me. I'm not really invested in the Marvel sets unless I find one really interesting or good for unusual parts. I absolutely hate the Mech stuff. My main focus these days is mostly the Harry Potter stuff but even there I don't buy everything.

I bought two 6 pack boxes from Target. They both seem to have the same 6 characters from what I can feel: Captain America, Sylvie, Captain Carter, Zombie Hunter Spidey, Monica & T'Challa. I opened one set but I think I'll be trying to find the ones I'm missing in a store & then returning the duplicates I don't want. Fortunately for me no Zombie Captain America since I really don't want that one. So I still need to find the five I'm missing and a few extra for doubles.

Maybe if we're lucky the Hermoine Polybag will be one of the ones they stock for the holidays in Target & Walmart. I've gotten quite a few of some other ones I haven't been able to find elsewhere from Joann's this year. I'm pretty sure the Harry one was quite plentiful around the holidays last year.

I'm happy with this upcoming wave of new sets. There is great potential for what we will actually get for building in the suitcase. I really liked the Moments sets from last year and hope they continue with them beyond these two new ones. They have a lot of detail packed into those self contained units and I even bought extras of a couple of them because I wanted more of the detailed builds they included. Can't wait to see all the little details they might put into the Hospital Wing.

I find the idea of the Hogwarts Suitcase intriguing. The description is a bit confusing as they say one can recreate many different scenes with the included stones (bricks) and that we will probably get a student & teacher that can be customized with different torsos & legs. They don't really state what the actual pieces included will be other than tiles in colors for each house and a sticker sheet. It almost sounds like we might get a box full of parts to make some furniture as well as more benches & tables for the Great Hall, maybe an assortment of foods, drinking vessels and such and possibly an assortment of minifig parts. At least that is what I'm imagining based on the current description. I'm picturing it being a big parts pack within the suitcase comprised of elements similar to what we've gotten in the Advent calendars, polybags & accessory sets.

I ordered some of those a few weeks ago. Still waiting for that order to arrive, hopefully some time this week.

I'd be happy with an unmotorized version of HE if they at least included the instructions to add a motor like they did with the Winter Village Train a few years back. I do have the parts for that or the ones they included with the Disney Train. They cheaped out by not bothering to make the last HE capable of being motorized easily with official instructions. I've got plenty of track so I don't need that included in the set either.

I know it drives up the cost but I hope if they do another Hogwarts Express they motorize the train this time and include Hogsmeade Station with platform. I'd also like a Shrieking Shack and I'd also like to see a few more buildings from Hogsmeade Village. Still hoping for Gringotts some time soon as well as Leaky Cauldron. The other side of Diagon Alley has been MOC'ed pretty well and using the instructions for the current set as a blueprint can be easily altered to make more shops. As for Hogwarts itself I would love to get the Owlery and the Bell Towers as well as a detailed Dumbledore's Office Tower. There's plenty of other possibilities already mentioned by others so I won't repeat them again.

Since they already made the suitcase and it didn't seem to sell all that well it isn't really something that would be of interest to me. There are too many Harry Potter sets I'd much rather see get made. If it were actually a room scene like Newt's basement that could possibly have potential. Count me as another not liking all the ugly brick built creatures like what was in the previous suitcase, the new Fluffy, Basilisk from the Great Hall set. For me to spend $250 on a set it has to be something I really like. A bunch of blocky brick built creatures wouldn't even come close. I'm more likely to get the new Icons set.

My orders lately have been taking about 2-3 weeks. Sometimes it seems the PAB stuff comes before my regular orders. S@H says they ship next day but they seem to be taking a week or more to actually get shipped and then 3-5 days more to actually arrive. They say North American orders are seeing delays but then say they ship by the next day but reality is no shipping notice for a week or more for the past few months.

Nice job on the upstairs of the DP. I never liked that they just left it a big open empty space.

Considering that a while back Marcos did an online interview where his face lit up like a Christmas tree when asked about Gringotts I find it hard to believe they don't have one in the works by now even though he didn't directly answer the question.

I have to say I find this set much more impressive than things like the Piano & Typewriter and all the large vehicles they put out each year. I haven't gotten the other Hedwig or Fawkes yet so this seems way more interesting to me. I definitely have enough points accumulated to actually get it for "free". Looking forward to the official reveal to see more pictures. It is disappointing that in order to complete ones set of the golden minifigs you need to either buy this set or resort to paying ridiculous prices to third parties to get them. I'm glad I didn't jump on the doom & gloom band wagon that followed the initial vague mentions and speculations of what this set was going to be.

When I first heard rumors of this series I had zero interest in it but after seeing them I definitely want some. May get most if not all because some of the parts will definitely be useful elsewhere especially the different flesh tone heads and new hair molds. Definitely need Captain Carter.

The only place that is finally just starting to discount some Vidiyo is Walmart. We haven't gotten any of the Second Wave released here yet and now it seems likely that it will be very hard to find anywhere outside of directly from Lego. I don't think you will be able to pick up much if any here cheaply.

Haven't read through this entire thread so I don't know if anyone else has heard anything official regarding this theme continuing or not next year. I finally went to my two nearest Lego stores yesterday. In one of them I noticed a sign above the Monkie Kid sets that said Last Chance. I questioned the one guy I know who's worked there for many years and he told me they are going to become Asian regional product due to low sales elsewhere. I know this goes against the no regional exclusives policy that was started a few years back so didn't know if anyone else has heard anything similar to what I was told. I guess they could always limit them to online only sales in other countries rather than devoting limited shelf space to them in the Lego brand stores.

But will any of those pieces be available from BnP? Hopefully some will.

There are a couple available from the Hogsmeade Village Set. One is Mister Flume & the other is Dean Thomas (darker skin tone).

Got the receipt for my order placed on Saturday and the sheep are on it even though they went out of stock while I was adding other items. Phew! Now to decide if I should go ahead & order a few new parts today or wait for 2x points in a few weeks. I'll probably grab a few thing now in case they go out of stock.

As far as the D2C is concerned I refuse to make any judgement based on vague comments from some individuals who claim to know what we are getting and that most of us will not like it much like they did with the latest wave. I will reserve judgement until something real actually leaks or Lego posts something definitive. I'm still hoping for an HP themed GWP so I can start buying the latest wave of sets.

One of mine, I think the BnP order, finally arrived today. Waiting for the thunderstorm to end so I can go to the Mailbox to get it. Looks like my PAB order is finally traveling through the USPS system and hopefully will arrive soon. It was my BnP order. Polyjuice Mugs and a bunch of the new HP torsos & skirt pieces, Golden Owls and other new HP themed pieces from the Chess & Chamber of Secrets sets, some Heads, a lot of hair pieces, a couple of the new Lion Cubs, some curved window frames in brown, the new snake, Canoes from the Friends Apartment set and a few other odds & ends. Still need to snag a few of the other new animals like the sheep and a few other things. I'm hoping to be able to wait until the 2X points promo mid July but if those sheep show up before then all bets are off. Now that I've seen some of the mods to the Basilisk I may need to order some of those parts. I don't really like that blocky brick mid section.
