I was in a weird mood lol
-
Guess no one cares about the Winnie the Pooh set, as I haven’t seen a single mention of the leaks on the forum. I mean that’s fair, I don’t care either lol
-
Yea that would be extremely disappointing considering we’ve already had (well, have) Hogwarts Express. And motorized trains are probably the most overpriced sets in LEGO. Would be an easy ignore for me
-
I’ve been looking at piece counts for sets in the $100-$150 range, and my first thought is that the $120 set has a pretty damn high piece count at it’s price range (1673). Maybe a lot of small pieces are used? I think the majority of the disappointment is going to come from the $250 set, which I’m sure is going to be a gimmick set of some sort.
-
I hate to say it, but I hope you guys hoping for some news today from KA1 have your clown outfits ready to go when nothing happens
-
Does anyone still have a screenshot of the Hogsmeade set? I want to attempts to MOC similar styled buildings for fun.
-
Has anyone promoted a leak that said the D2C is Gringotts and Falcon and/or Guyon denied it? I mean personally it would be nice to get a soft confirmation that it’s not Gringotts so we can just end the madness.
-
Don’t worry it’s not you in particular :) just in general we have this tangent about once every couple of weeks lol Edit: On topic, I have already decided that exactly $80 will be spent on on Harry Potter in 2021 and it will be for Hogsmeade. I have come to terms with this

As an active gamer, I swear the video game industry/fan base is so hyper-political and full of virtue signaling that I just want SOMEWHERE where we can just discuss Harry Potter in peace. Can we not derail this again, before a mod checks in and threatens to lock the thread
-
Wait are you saying you like GoF most because of its music? John Williams’ scores for the first 3 are on such another league compared to 4’s it’s borderline laughable (I’m very passionate about this lol) edit: none of the scores are “bad”, per se, but coming from the brilliance of John it was just incredibly jarring for me. Should also clarify that I’m in that business so I’ve studied thousands of film scores and get very defensive of my favorites :D

I don’t think I’ve ever seen this thread constantly on “hot” as much as I have this past week. Y’all love leak season don’t you
-
Well according to our sources the August wave isn’t going to be much better, and that’s not necessarily for the anniversary.
-
Yea wow those are...not good. How do we go from 2018-2020 of amazing sets where we can say LEGO understood its audience to...whatever 2021 is. Hogsmeade is the only decent one, but like I said earlier, it could have been so much more as a $150 set with more detailed buildings.

Can someone fill me in on what happened today? I haven’t been active. I will take whatever DM’s have pics of whatever, I have a lot of catching up to do lol
-
Oh wow that would actually be kind of poetic. Gringotts but it’s 80% Dragon, 20% Gringotts. That would definitely be a love/hate set.
-
I think someone mentioned it earlier, but I’m afraid the love or hate thing refers to the style of set it is. Attack on Hoth is a playset, and to be frank I think the majority of AFOL’s are not particularly interested in play sets (this isn’t exact obviously but gotta generalize a little). Personally, I prefer the sets that are also great display pieces. If we get something on the bigger price points that isn’t exactly catered to adults as well, I can see many, including myself, getting upset.
-
I just meant hypothetically, if it did end at some point, let’s hope it does on a high note :)
-
Idk man GoT the cracks began to show severely when they ran out of book material, aka season 5. Don’t need to remind anyone of that Dorne storyline... Let’s hope the HP LEGO line doesn’t end like that series lol
-
Honest question, would anyone here like, or dare I say prefer, the $250 to be a statue of something ala Yoda/Star Wars head busts? I don’t think that’s love or hate, I think that’s just hate
-
Just curious, what would be your dream sets for the $120/$250 sets?
-
If it’s not Gringotts, I am absolutely baffled that LEGO thought Diagon Alley should be released without it’s most prominent building. Is there even a comparison? Hogwarts without the Great Hall? Tatooine without the cantina? Like come on... The only explanation would be that they see HP surviving like Star Wars and don’t want to do everything too fast. Even then it’s such a bummer for me
-
@Textorix Trust me, I hope I am too!
-
The big sets are going to be some obscure thing or set that isn’t like a traditional building or scene and we’re all going to be pissed but like “maybe it could be cool?” But no one really wants it. There now we can move on to 2022 :(

LEGO Ninjago 2021
Modal replied to Driver Brandon Grumman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Someone combined Ninjago City with the Monkie Kid Mech side build and I think it turned out brilliantly! -
I know it’s a bit off topic, but I actually have an interview at my local LEGO store today! It’s a side job to help me afloat financially while music takes a hit from COVID, but it would be a ton of fun regardless! Will take a peak in the back room to see the August wave ;) (That’s a joke LEGO please hire me)
