  1. I'm willing to bet that this SSD in TLJ turns out to be the Eclipse.
  2. It does appear to be the same head as Anakin, which would technically make him new among the 2-piece helmet Vaders. The glow is behind every fig and new figs aren't denoted at all on the boxes we've seen, so who knows.
  3. As I have every A-wing except the newest two, I'll hold off on rating these two until I can compare the new one to my 75003, but I'll likely modify the both new A-wings anyway. I got 6207 off eBay recently and almost immediately deviated from the instructions to make it more accurate. 75003 might be the least favorite of my four despite being the most movie accurate. I'm not crazy about the nose on it, it's a poor solution for the wedge the ROTJ A-wings have. Many MOCs have done it better. Plus I had Ackbar from Home One (along with that A-wing) already so the 75003 Ackbar became just another Mon Cal crewman. I'm more stoked to have the updated version of Lando, even though he's also in Home One.
  4. I like my IAC, though it could certainly use some mods to make it better. Definitely overpriced though, if you can do without the figs, it's cheap on ebay. Though part of the appeal for me was that black astromech. I collect mainly Galactic Civil War Era stuff, so the Gozanti is more useful to me than the TT or Krennic's shuttle.
  5. I do, but she could benefit from having arms in her skin color rather than grey.
  6. I'll take any Tantive IV, personally. I'm seriously considering getting the system scale one off Ebay to go with my Pelta. A remake of either would be fantastic for me, though as always I see why people would be upset. I'll gladly take a blue CR-90 instead though. And I'd love a remake of the Falcon, Im priced out of owning the original and I can't imagine that bricklinking it would be that much more cost effective. Someone mentioned a Dathomir player as a UCS, that seems extremely unlikely. I doubt we'll ever see a TCW or Rebels UCS, though if we did I'd like to see the Ghost.
  7. Google 2017 Lego star wars leaks, and there will be a reddit thread with the pics, that's what I found anyway. The images are super blurry.
  8. Tracker I looks an awful lot like a TIE Phantom. I assume it's a Freemakers set? Vader's transformation will be a must, and the tank looks quite nice as well, one of my favorite vehicles in the real Battlefronts.
  9. As I've said from the start, this set it best for those who don't have any Hoth sets or those who love that battle and just want to add to their Hoth collection. I'll buy any A-wing Lego puts out, so I understand that some people will buy this just because of the Hoth elements, and that's cool. But for many of us, it feels too much like a collection of sets we already have, with too many odd choices to overlook. One of the things that stands out to me is that we finally get Wedge, but in reality we only get his helmet. Stupid stuff like that sort of sums up the set and the disappointment around it. As for the Death Star, I missed the last one so I'm in the camp that appreciates the rerelease, but I can 100% understand people being upset that the new UCS is just a $100 pricier version of an old set. I got it for Christmas and couldn't be happier with it.
  10. I'm at the 10th bags of the build now, so I'm almost done. I think my first mod will be to ditch the TIE Advanced and hanger bit, as ChristopherLee said it takes up far too much room, and IMO looks awful, the TIE especially. I'd rather rig up a hanger for some mini TIEs, or just leave the bay open. I also removed that crane thing from the weapons room since it doesn't really serve any purpose. I'd much rather have had another DS Trooper or Naval officer in exchange for those pieces, and the adeed floor space is appreciated. When it's fully complete, I'll see what else I'd like to modify. One issue I already noticed was wasted space in the detention level. The right wall of the cell could be pushed all the way to the wall of that section, there's an empty 2-wide corridor wasted there. Also, I wouldn't consider it a mod, but I've decided to display it as a functioning battle station rather than a diorama of the events of ANH and ROTJ, so as of right now I'm not displaying it with any of the heroes, just all my extra Imperials. The one piece I absolutely need to add is Yularen, and I'd like to find some heads to match Motti and Tagge. The one officer that comes with it could probably pass for Motti. I love the build so far, they did a good job keeping it from being tedious by breaking up sections. My one issue is that it's very easy to miss or mistake pieces in the instructions, especially when you've been building for hours. I love the set though, I'm in the camp that are very happy they rereleased it as I missed out on the first.
  11. It'd be such a shame for your other minifigs to call him Admiral Thrawn instead of Grand Admiral... I'm just happy were getting a Thrawn figure in a cheap set, I'm not concerned with how accurate his rank insignia is, and I'm certain that my other minifigs won't care either. As for complaints about the A-wing not looking right, the beauty of Lego is that you can customize the sets as you see fit. I recently bought the 6207 A-wing and modified it as I was building it. Now it's more in line with my 2 newer official A-wings and my custom A-wing. I'll undoubtedly do the same with both of the new ones, and I don't view it as an insult that I'd have to mod it to be happy with it.
  12. I'll skip the skiff and probably the landspeeder as well since I already have older versions, but I'm super pumped for the Y-wing and another A-wing. That one will put me at 6 A-wings in my squadron when I finally get the TIE Advanced vs A-wing set. I also can't wait to get my hands on Thrawn. This is a pretty sweet wave.
  13. Are these one sale yet?
  14. The original A-wing was grey and IMO it doesn't look as good as the white ones we've gotten since then. For my MOC A-wing I used a touch of grey on the front/side slopes with the rest in white and blue.
  15. I replace all the stud shooters withthe traditional blasters, but some of you seem quick to forget that for years our blasters were just megaphones. The stud shooters are at least an improvement over that. I do see your point though, if they were such a draw why not replace all the blasters in the larger sets?
  16. Video game consoles are similarly expensive.
  17. Having missed out on the last one, I'll be picking this up eventually. I can absolutely see why the rest of you are upset though, it's just the same set with updated figs.
  18. Jeeze, I feel like one of the people defending Insult on Hoth, but I missed out on the last DS and am eagerly awaiting this one. I'd have bought the last one were it still on sale when I had the money and I'm not bothered at all by this being just an update to that one, though I can certainly see it being underwhelming if you already own the previous model.
  19. Nice! If only we had a Fives fig.
  20. I'm loving all of these A-wings. The more the better, it's great to see this ship finally getting some recognition.
  21. This looks great! Very similar to my own, but I like your solution for the nose and rear of the cockpit, so I may have to make some modifications now.
  22. Really? Do we really need a new version of that set right now? I don't often fall into the camp of those criticizing TLG but this just seems like they're trolling us. Of all the sets we want, they rerelease things we've had within the past 5 years.
  23. Makes me want to build the Timberwolf I always wanted. This looks great! I haven't ventured outside of Star Wars much lately, but now here I am contemplating Mechwarrior and Zoids MOCs.
  24. I'd absolutely buy this if it were sold as an official set, you did a great job capturing the shape. According to current cannon, Vader still owns this ship between ANH and ESB, so it's good to see that it lived on in good hands (relatively speaking, of course.)
  25. I quite like that, actually. It has a classic town vibe to me, definitely more so than a Juniors feel. It actually looks like an update of the small helicopter from Century Skyway/City Airport, mixing in the mailboxes of the larger helicopter from the same set.
