  1. This is a way better explanation than the one I gave. Well spoken
  2. Because building in real life is totally different than building digitally. It will be hard to compare a digital build with an actual build. Basically what @2GodBDGlory mentioned. You cannot know for certain that something will work in a real build. And another reason is that we want to see real MOCs. If we would allow digital builds, there's a fair chance that the majority of the builds would be digital.
  3. I have been going through some of the topics and wow! This contest will results in some very nice entries!! Can't wait to see more.
  4. Since TLG shut down the link, I can only assume they don't want the into to be shared. Let's stay on the safe side.
  5. Yes, you can do digital rendering of the original model. But only for the original model, not the contest entry.
  6. Very cool creation! Did you know you can embed Youtube videos by simple pasting the embed code. And you can embed Bricksafe images in a post as well. Makes it easier for visitors to see what the topic is about.
  7. I am wondering the same thing. And too lazy to use Google -> Dedicated topic on Eurobricks
  8. This is info from a Dutch webshop.

  10. Now that you post it, I remember seeing those. Awesome!
  11. 8852 (Transforming robot) is the one I was/am expecting to see
  12. That is a perfect example of an entry that would make a fair chance of ending on the podium.
  13. That sounds very interesting, but let’s stick to a single model.
  14. Valid question. Maybe classic isn't the right word. Studded is the right word. But the initial idea behind the contest was to recreate an iconic classic. We won't be very strict about it, although we do love to see classics.
  15. That is correct sir (most likely we have seen those pics already)
  16. What I meant was that it's not necessary to fill every gap. But you are doing fine! Just remember that it should be built to modern day Technic standards. Edit: I have edited my original comment.
  17. That's an interesting comment. It's not necessary to fill every gap. You can do this if you feel it's necessary, but the model can have gaps, as most Technic models have.
  18. This doesn’t have to be a problem per se. We will look at scale, but it’s not the most important factor. I’d say, go for it See my answer above.
