  1. There is a single hyperlink for your convenience. You can click it and you will see all the entries In about one week. There's no fixed date, but we will leave it open for at least a full week.
  2. Public voting has started! Let me know if I made any mistakes.
  3. TECHNIC STUDLESS RECREATION CONTEST - VOTING TOPIC Voting will consist of two stages! You are eligible to vote when you have at least 50 posts. VOTING RULES AND REGULATIONS Voting scheme uses the old Formula One style point distribution (10, 6, 4, 3, 2 and 1 POINT) You need to assign 10 points to the 1st place, 6 points to the second and so one. You need to vote for 6 ENTRIES (no more, no less) Clearly mention the ENTRY NUMBER and the NUMBER OF POINTS per entry that you vote on. You are eligible to vote if you have AT LEAST 50 POSTS. You may NOT vote for your own entry. You can be banned from voting (when vote rigging is suspected). In the event of a tie for any place the Technic Staff will decide which entry wins. Our decision is final. Questions about voting can be asked in the Discussion Topic. For example (entries randomly chosen): --- comments can be placed above the votes 5: 10 (no comments here please) 6: 6 1: 4 9: 3 7: 2 3: 1 Or comments can be placed below the votes ---- NOTES Please use this exact notation NUMBER: VOTES (with a colon). Please don't type #1:10, 1 = 10 or 1) 10 or other notations. Stick to the example format shown above. Please use this thread only for voting. You may explain why you made your choice, but any general discussion should take place in the Discussion Topic. Comments should be placed ABOVE or BELOW the votes. Please don't comment on the same line as the votes. VOTING The voting scheme will be partially public and partially jury (Milan and myself). Only members who have 50 posts or more are eligible to vote . If you have fewer posts, you can vote, but your votes will be automatically excluded from the tally. There will be a public voting phase. The top-10 will continue to the jury voting phase, where @Milan and myself will pick the top-3. Points from the public voting scheme won't count towards jury voting. We will start with a clean slate in the jury phase. We will give you a brief explanation how we picked our top-3, but we won't go into an elaborate discussion afterwards. Voting criteria are (in no particular order, except the first and most important criterium): True to the original Quality of the build. Looks (shape, color scheme, etc). Functionality. Originality. 4. Why haven't you corrected the entry post? You can use Bricksafe (or Flickr) to host your images.
  5. Don't you have any work in progress pictures?
  6. I fixed the topic for him. I do find it rather odd that his discussion topic doesn't show any progress at all. Just the final model. But let's give him the benefit of the doubt.
  7. I already sent him a PM to fix his topic. But locked is locked. Making a proper entry post is part of the contest.
  8. I am not sure how this set is "excessively big"? The set is actually quite compact and the list with functions goes on and on. Care to elaborate? Are you sure you were posting in the right topic
  9. Usually, you can change it once every year. But I am not really sure that option is still available. I have sent you a PM. Edit: It's under Account Settings -> Change Display Name Pay attention that your new name will be your login name as well.
  10. This was posted with my permission btw, I would love to see this model built with actual (LEGO) bricks. This could easily be turned into a Saturn V version
  11. You can check out the instructions for [TC19]. Here's the link. You can vote for six entries with old style formula one scoring, so 10, 6, 4, 3, 2,1 points. Usually the winner wins the contest, but in this case we have two-stage voting. So the top 10 will proceed to jury (me and Milan) voting. We will ultimately decide who wins the contest (and silver and bronze).
  12. So many great entries! It's insane. You guys (and gals, if any) keep amazing me with these contest entries!
  13. I do think a scale model of a shoe will fit special themes better, but most of the scale models seem to be vehicles anyway.
  14. Like @Milan said; can't make everyone happy all the time. And I am pretty sure the Technic fans won't mind an occasional scale model. It's not that the SMF forum was flooded with MOCs every day/week.
  15. Solution: LEGO Technic, Model Team and Scale Modeling
  16. I agree. In some cases we are stuck between a rock and a hard place, but I still think it's the right decision.
  17. It does fit the contest. I didn't say it doesn't. But it is not what I had in mind It is by far the most creative solution.
  18. This is an amazing creation. Very cool and very original. I do agree withg @SaperPL that it's not entirely what I had in mind for this contest, but nonetheless a lot of awesomeness.
  19. Seeing the activity in this topic, we should move ahead and merge the forums.
  20. Great. I hope you will be able to enter. To all... THE DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO THE 9TH OF AUGUST.
