  1. I have created a (locked) voting topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=98491&st=0 Please read the rules and let me know whether it makes sense.
  2. I have decided to only vote for my top 3: 29: 10 22: 6 19: 4
  3. MINI BUILD VOTING TOPIC This topic will be used as a voting topic for the Mini Build contest. VOTING RULES AND REGULATIONS You have a total of 20 POINTS to allot to your favorite entries. You need to allot EVERY POINT, not just a part of them. You can allot a maximum of 10 POINTS per entry. Clearly mention the ENTRY NUMBER and the NUMBER OF POINTS per entry that you vote on. You may NOT vote if you joined Eurobricks after JUNE 6th 01:35 PM. This is to prevent people registering just to vote, and applies even if you entered the contest. Exceptions to the rule above are contestants and members who have explicit permission (whitelisted). You may NOT vote for your own entry. This voting thread will close on AUGUST 9th (closing time at my discretion), so make sure to cast your vote ON OR BEFORE FRIDAY THE 8th OF AUGUST. In the event of a tie for any place the Technic Staff will decide which entry wins. Our decision is final. Questions about voting can be asked in the Mini Build Contest Information. For example (entries randomly chosen for example): --- comments can be placed above the votes 5: 10 (no comments here please) 16: 7 18: 1 22: 1 30: 1 Or comments can be placed below the votes ---- NOTES Please use this exact notation NUMBER: VOTES (with a colon). Please use this thread only for voting. You may explain why you made your choice, but any general discussion should take place in the Mini Build Contest Information Topic. Comments should be placed ABOVE or BELOW the votes. Please don't comment on the same line as the votes. VOTING CRITERIA The idea about this contest is to create a Mini model which reflects an official LEGO Technic mini mode in the best way possible. So the single most important criterium is: Could this be on the shelf of my local LEGO reseller and would I buy it? Indirectly this means you need to look at the following criteria: Design Functionality Color scheme Parts used Playability ENTRIES Since there are a lot of entries, with lots of information, I felt like keeping the entries in the entry thread, instead of copying it all to this voting thread. Please visit the entry topic to see all entries. Here's the complete entry list with numbers and names: 1. Truck with Trailer and Wheel Loader 2. Dragon 3. P199 Wheel Loader 4. Trial Truck 5. ATV 6. 4. Thanks! And corrected. Next content I will explicitly mention to include the topic link in the entry post. It is something contestants started doing themselves, which is awesome
  5. There are 57 entries!! Some of them are lacking a discussion topic, which is mandatory for entering the contest. I might have overlooked the topics, so I need to verify. Do these entries have a discussion topic? Dusty plane: http://www.eurobrick...25#entry1951973 Port Crane http://www.eurobrick...25#entry1954278 Norwegian Yak Shredder http://www.eurobrick...25#entry1954754 Mobile Crane http://www.eurobrick...50#entry1955351 Offroad Trike: http://www.eurobrick...50#entry1956033 When it's your entry and you haven't started a discussion/WIP topic, please do so and post the link here. The port crane images are way too big! http://www.eurobrick...25#entry1954278 Maximum width is 1024 pixels!
  6. Thanks Allan!! No, you can't vote for your own entry
  7. Your latest version is fine! You can post it here, or send it to me. I just closed it.
  8. Hi, The rule is to prevent cheating. But I will make an exception for members who are seriously contributing to the forum and/or the contest. So I will most likely allow all contestants who joined after the contest start date to vote. I can tell you now that you are on the voting whitelist
  9. Nope! (edit: actually it's not a very bad idea for this contest) What you do get is an extra day! I will leave the entry topic open tomorrow, since I am away from home the entire day. So closing time is Sunday when I wake up Voting will be one week! That ought to be enough for every contest! Allan, would it be possible to have an updated image by Sunday morning? I can use it to promote the voting stage
  10. Almost: 10 points with a maximum of 5 per entry and you must spend all points. Voting will open this Sunday (maybe tomorrow, but I am quite busy). I think I will close the voting next Sunday and I will have the results immediately. I am on a short break to Sziget the week after the 9th so I want to close it as well. I could also leave the voting open for two weeks and close it on Monday the 18th. Do you think one or two weeks is better for voting? Next contest will be six weeks of building and one or two weeks of voting. I want to standardize the durations, so people can get used to it.
  11. Barman, your part list doesn't match you model. You have replaced the shoulder joints with this one http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=15100. As we say in Holland "I will see it through the fingers" Or you could photoshop the parts image to reflect the right BoM.
  12. I was planning on closing it around noon (Amsterdam, GMT +2, if I am not mistaken). But since the description "closing date August 1st" leaves room for interpretation, I will close it tomorrow morning and create the voting topic on Sunday. Next contest I will be more clear about it.
  13. I think it's all there. And there's more in the entry topic's first post: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97822 Let me know if you are in doubt about something. Or check what the other contestants did. Just post your entry like them and you'll be fine
  14. Cool! I might have a crack at it this weekend
  15. Sweet! I like it. I am writing a review of the Mini OffRoader as we speak, and the suspension is indeed very nice. Cool to see you have adapted the idea of using the same chassis (more or less) and build another bodywork. Where did you come up with that idea?!
  16. It doesn't get ANY cooler than this. You guys must be filled with joy and proud! Greak work on the instructions Gio!
  17. So true. Each day I had a new favorite and seeing this great entry I am lost again @Barman: Exceptional entry!! And your promotional image is spot on. Marvelous job Completely justified No thanks. It's MOCs like yours take make it worth every minute of our time
  18. You should be on the top of their list! Let me know the outcome.
  19. Great work Edwin!! I will definitely come to Legoworld
  20. This entry really makes my day! Children will have tons of fun playing with it.....children....who am I kidding
