I'm not posting any list. It shouldn't be so hard to select one or two sets with a combined maximum of 600 parts. Go to Brickset, browse Technic, select 2014 and scroll back to 2005. Here's the link: http://brickset.com/sets/theme-Technic/year-2014 At the bottom is a button to scroll through the years.

There will be no restrictions to the number of images (well, maybe 5 or so.). So everyone can decide whether to combine the images to a single composite image, or use multiple images....or do both. And what's the difference between an annotation and adding a logo? Why annotations yes, logo no? Slowly, we're getting to a nice standard for upcoming contests

To make things a bit less complicated, I will go easy on the "different molds issue", okay? And I have been thinking about the presentation matter; should we allow editing pictures? If not, there will still be a difference in pictures, since some of you have a professional camera and others don't. Some of you have professional lighting, and others don't. There will always be a difference in presentation, unless a single person rebuilds all the MOCs and shoots pictures. We can avoid the "box type presentation", so no artificial backgrounds. I don't mind clearing the background and/or doing some minor enhancements (not changing part color or something like that). Which pretty much boils down to PhyBuilder's Enhancing yes, Morphing (which I will call manipulating) no. Examples of enhancing (allowed): Remove (part of) the background to have it equally coloured Adjust brightness and contrast Examples of manipulating (disallowed) Background replacements Additional logo's Where shall I put the next two things? - Annotations? - Composite images (two or more images combined)?

Not sure whether you need Pneumatics or LAs, but on Bricklink you can select the country of the store. So you can limit your search to Spain. -
Thanks for the kind words! I know you all like it, myself included. That's why I keep up with all of your funny questions about the rules

This is indeed a part from 2014, which explains why it hasn't been used a lot. I will merge this topic with: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101081- 5,504 replies

Exactly Okay guys, I have removed the rule about the promotional image. From now on I will let you make one or more images and an optional (single) video. I understand that we need to emphasize on building skills instead of presentation skills. HOWEVER....we can't avoid that person A will make better pictures than person B. At the end of the day a mediocre model with great pictures won't beat a great model with mediocre pictures. Basically you are saying that you need to make a real life photo with no manipulating.....but creating a background is okay, and doing some lighting is okay, and captions and subtitles are okay. That everything what has been done in the Mini Contest. I don't see the difference. All of the photos in the Mini Contest were actual pictures. Take this picture for example: Real photos. Only combined to a single image, showing the functions. But like I said; I do get your sentiment. When you are not able to make an image like this in Photoshop, you feel that you have less chance of winning. So I won't limit the entry topic to a single promotional image. My question to you guys is; should we allow an image like this?

And I thought the rules were pretty simple this time. Just take one or two sets and start building The total part limit is 600 parts, which rules out any set with over 1000 parts?!
-
Sure, no problem! Regarding the stickers; no home made stickers, since they are not part of the set(s). The official stickers are optional. You can choose to use them or not. I will add it to the rules. Yup! I will add it to the rules.
-
@PhyBuilder: I won't be nitpicking. Let's all use the Brickset part count to count the total parts. I don't mind that the set(s) actually contain a part or two more.
-
The extra pieces are extra and can be used. They do not count towards the limit. Use the Brickset part count to determine the limit.
-
I mixed up the set numbers when changing the sequence. Thanks. No, the PF motor set is not allowed. I will add that rule. No. The available part count needs to be 600 or less. Seriously?!
-
How do you come up with these questions No, if you use two sets, they need to be different. I will clarify the rules!

(Dedicated to Grohl, the best C-Model builder Eurobricks has ever known.) Technic C-Model Contest Our last contest was dedicated to Model Team, a tricky contest to enter. Listening to your opinion it became clear that having an alternative build (C-Model) contest is highly anticipated. So hopefully you will enjoy this contest. It's a contest well worth to enter since we have great prizes DESCRIPTION Build an alternate LEGO Model out of one or two existing LEGO Technic sets. The total part count for the set(s) you use can't exceed 600, so you can either use a single set containing 600 parts or less or use two (different) sets with a combined part count of 600 or less. You can't use 600 parts of a 1200 part set. Since 2005 is the year I came out of my dark ages, I am also imposing a release date limit. The set(s) need to be released in the year 2005 or later. For example: Use two (different) sets: 144 parts + 186 parts = 330 parts Use a single set: 499 parts DEADLINE Deadline date is November 30th, 2014. Contest will be closed on Monday the 1st, so you will have the entire Sunday to build. CONTEST SPECIFIC RULES AND REGULATIONS Set(s) not older than 2005. You c.an't use the same set twice. 8293 PF Motor Set is not allowed. 8287 Motor Box Set is not allowed. Only original stickers can be used, but they are not mandatory (so they can be omitted). Single set part count or combined set part count can't exceed 600 parts. You can't use 600 parts of a 1200 part set (see previous rule). Nathanael Kuipers is disqualified because he is a professional C-modeller! GENERAL RULES AND RESTRICTIONS The contest is open to all EB members (also new members). Members who joined EB after the start of the contest can be banned from voting (when vote rigging is suspected). Voting rules will be explained later in the voting topic. One entry per member. Entries need to be new (never posted anywhere previously). Only physical builds, so no LDD or other virtual entry. If you have any doubts about the suitability of your entry contact me. All entries are to include only real LEGO. No clone brands, 3rd party parts, or digital entries allowed. No cutting, sculpting or modifying parts. Entries are to be placed in the entry topic in this forum. Entries not in the entry topic are not eligible for voting. The entry post may be edited at any time up to the end of the contest, so feel free to make improvements if you wish. We reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not follow these rules. These rules can be changed whenever we see fit to ensure that people follow the intent of the contest. Staff members are not eligible for winning prizes. WHAT DO I NEED TO ENTER? All participant need to create a discussion topic and create a post in the entry topic. DISCUSSION TOPIC A discussion topic starting with [TC5]. ENTRY POST The entry post in the entry topic should contain: Entry name Short summary of the functions.
