  4. TECHNIC 49.5 x 20 TIRE VEHICLE CONTEST - DISCUSSION TOPIC The summer is about to start so you will all be inside building LEGO hehe. DESCRIPTION Design a non-licensed/non-branded vehicle using at least four and a maximum of six 49.5 x 20 tires using these rims. These tires (wheels) need to be used to drive the vehicle. You can use extra wheels for decorative purposes (like a spare wheel on a Jeep which won't count towards the limit). VOTING CRITERIA Voting will be 100% public voting, but the votes will be cast on an external website and won't be visible during the voting period. The voting criteria are (in no particular order): Quality of the build. Functionality. Originality. Looks (shape, color scheme, etc). DEADLINE Deadline date is September 2nd, 2024. Contest will be closed on Tuesday the 3rd OR LATER. Disclaimer: I will close the contest when I see fit and when I have the time to process the results. This can be later than the deadline date. Please don't complain about this not being fair and all. RULES AND REGULATIONS The following section describes the contest specific and general rules and regulations. But before that, please take notice of a simple motto regarding the Eurobricks Contests: CONTESTS ARE FOR FUN! Of course there's competition, but at the end of the day, LEGO is just a hobby and the main goal for each of us is to have fun! CONTEST SPECIFIC RULES AND REGULATIONS The entry needs to have a name. The entry needs to be a vehicle. The entry needs to use four or six wheels using the 49.5 x 20 tires. These wheels need to be used to drive the vehicle. Extra wheels/tires can be used for decorative purposes. The entry needs to be non-licensed/non-branded. The entry needs to be studless. Some studded System parts are okay, but model team is not permitted. Pullback Motor is permitted. Pneumatics are permitted. Members who joined EB after the start of the contest can be banned from voting (when vote rigging is suspected). Voting rules will be explained later in the voting topic. One entry per member. Entries need to be new (never posted anywhere previously). Only physical builds, so no LDD or other virtual entry. If you have any doubts about the suitability of your entry contact me. Entries are to be placed in the entry topic in this forum. Entries not in the entry topic are not eligible for voting. The entry post may be edited at any time up to the end of the contest, so feel free to make improvements if you wish. The contest might be closed later than the deadline. Don't complain about this not being fair. You have enough time to build. Don't ask for more time. We reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not follow these rules. These rules can be changed whenever we see fit to ensure that people follow the intent of the contest. Staff members are not eligible for winning prizes. WHAT DO I NEED TO ENTER? All participants need to create a discussion topic and create a post in the entry topic. DISCUSSION TOPIC A discussion topic starting with [TC27]. A discussion topic needs to show some actual progress (i.e. pictures of the build in progress) and should not be used to "reserve an idea". ENTRY POST The entry post in the entry topic should contain: Entry name Short summary of the functions. One or more images (max 4). You can have combined pictures (4 in 1) as long as the picture isn't bigger than 1024x1024. Embedded Youtube video (not mandatory) Link to the discussion topic PRIZES There will be some prizes. More on that later.
  5. Working on it. Still in doubt about some of the rules. Maybe I will post a prelim setup so you can shoot at it.
  6. The banana is so tiny Great progress!!
  7. Lol, yes, fair enough... I will put it in my calendar for next week. I will be away for most of the next weekend.
  8. That's fine, but Eurobricks isn't the place for that. Thanks for the explanation. Let's carry on.
  9. I had to look it up, but NEOM is one of the sponsors on one of the pullbacks. Okay, I think it's better to not start that discussion.
  10. By Billund, you probably mean Germany It's great that you made the event happen. Let's aim for a big event next year again.
  11. Looking at the current lineup, I can only conclude you are not wrong. I do love the space sets, but that's not because they are so technically engaging. So yeah, I definitely get your point.
  12. Nope, it's not. But something along that line.
  13. Just build something. I will send you a prize Just kidding of course. I will start a contest shortly which will run during the Summer. You will have ample time to build something and we will wrap it up by the end of August or so. As always, thanks for the nudge
  14. Looking forward to the alternative model
  15. Not sure if it's called bumping if it's a topic about a currently available set Looking forward to your mods. Still need to build my copy. Another thing I do like about this set is the price. It's quite afforable, which is nice.
  16. What is the purpose of this device? Looks dangerous.
  17. Yeah, I know and I absolutely agree. But themes seem to get a certain quota/quotum. This goes for stickers (edit: prints) as well.
  18. Probably a storage issue. They simply don't have the capacity to store so many different parts/colors. We have seen this happen quite often in the past.
  19. I suddenly realized something…jf.otten the (online) shop does have a striking resemblance to your name What’s the bad news? The price?
