Generic Contest Discussion

I like the idea, but I do think it's a bit too niche for a Holiday contest. -
Generic Contest Discussion
Jim replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It's very quiet in here. I was expecting lots of questions about the next contest, with the Holidays coming up My plan was to have something running in November, but by now, you know how most of my plans work out But I do think we still need to start something to have you guys building during these cold winter months. -
That would absolutely be helpful! Thanks. If you can provide a screenshot, that would be great. I only see the header at the top and footer at the bottom.

Okay I will check it out. We don’t want Ads that make the site unusable. Thanks for pointing it out.

I can't find this particular experiment, but I have turned off some settings in Google Adsense. Let me know if you still see those ads.
-
Ahhh sorry, that's what you mean by slide up from the bottom. Let me check...
-
Do we have these btw? The reason I ask is that Google sometimes turns on experimental features that we sometimes know nothing about.

We need those Ads to pay the bills. That is the bottom line. We have been thinking about Patreon and other solutions. We need to invest some time to come up with a proper solution, because we don't like the banners either. I can tell you that we will be moving to a new hosting environment next year. We will move to a cheaper solution which will save us money on our monthly bill. Maybe we can turn off the Ads. But we do need to look into a yearly donation of some sort to make sure we can hide these Ads. So, we are working on a solution, but the upgrade to the new platform will take some time.

I'm sure the Admins play by the rules and honor the guidelines TLG provides. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Thanks for pointing it out. I didn't see a watermark, but I think it's safe to assume it is a leak, because there hasn't been an official announcement. If it's an official set of course. Can be fake news. -
@aFrInaTi0n Thanks for chiming in! We do indeed need https. I missed that one, thanks.

Hi. It is not required. Unfortunately the Academy is not really active anymore. But you can surely post reviews

Test http://www.mgtx.fr/LEGO/Divers/69762_45deg.jpg I think it has something to do with your webserver. When I go to http://www.mgtx.fr/LEGO/Divers/ I can see the contents of the folder. This is not how content usually is served. Our forum software probably doesn't like it. I recommend using a (free) image hosting service like Bricksafe.

Yes, I will take a look shortly.

Can post an example of the url you are using for the image?

You guys know the Pub topic is to discuss anything…but LEGO -
Hi. Welcome to EB. We don’t host images here on EB. You can upload images to Bricksafe (free) or Flickr. Then you can use the link to the image to embed it here.
