  1. I don’t care how you get them in place. We’re not going through an elaborate inspection process.
  2. No rollercoasters. No illegal building techniques.
  3. This comes to mind. It feels like your example is still some sort of moving vehicle/model. We are aiming at household appliances, animals, mechanical contraptions etc. We should probably aim for something stationary, except when it's an animal.
  4. Let's not do GBC. I will include it in the list. We had a separate contest for that.
  5. Don't worry about stuff like that. The non-licensed rule was predominantly introduced to avoid people making branded vehicles which would be rated higher. So, nothing to worry about.
  6. Not sure why the non-licensed part would affect your list. Non-licensed means you cannot brand a car as being a Porsche or something (in case of a car competition). You can still build a Porsche like model. Just like a VTOL Helicopter vs an Osprey.
  7. I removed the non licensed part from the rules. You don't need to worry about copyrights if you are building a model for this contest. It's not like you are selling a product.
  8. It does give me a bit of a headache though. If you can't make a mech, but instead you call it an animal... Not sure where to draw the line.
  9. Yeah, we need to set clear boundaries. I am thinking along the lines of "not being able to move itself, except animals". But that might be too limiting.
  10. By the way; I have been thinking a bit about the example of the four legged mech from the videogame or anime. What is your stance on this? I don’t want this contest to turn into a mech contest. That is not what I had in mind? Like to know your thoughts. Somehow a mech feels like a vehicle.
  11. If you all need more time for this contest, I can close if by the end of February btw.
  12. Absolutely. That is the kind of model I was aiming for
  13. Nope they are not allowed. Those are vehicles. Lol I will remove that line. You’re good. Yes it is. I will add it. Strange this wasn’t in the rules. Thanks Agreed! Drone is a difficult one. But I will explicitly state that a drone is not allowed. Depends on the model. An Ornithopther is obviously not allowed, since it’s a vehicle.
  14. TECHNIC NON-VEHICLE CONTEST - DISCUSSION TOPIC Better late than never, but the winter is coming (for most of us), so let's find something to do. This was actually the topic I had in mind for the first contest I hosted. At the time TLG requested if we could to a triple build contest (this was TC2). After that I never pursued this idea....until now...finally...TC28 DESCRIPTION Build something that is not a vehicle, having some interesting functions or mechanics. Animals are not allowed (we will save that for another contest). You can build machinery and mechanical stuff etc. As long as it's not a vehicle. Furthermore, the model should be a static model, so you can't build models that are able to move itself from location A to location B using an engine. Vehicle: A thing used for transporting people or goods, such as a car, plane, truck, etc NOT ALLOWED Animals Walkers Drones GBC VOTING CRITERIA Voting will be 100% public voting, but the votes will be cast on an external website and won't be visible during the voting period. The voting criteria are (in no particular order): Quality of the build. Functionality. Originality. Looks (shape, color scheme, etc). DEADLINE Deadline date is February 24th, 2025. Contest will be closed on Tuesday the 25th OR LATER. Disclaimer: I will close the contest when I see fit and when I have the time to process the results. This can be later than the deadline date. Please don't complain about this not being fair and all. RULES AND REGULATIONS The following section describes the contest specific and general rules and regulations. But before that, please take notice of a simple motto regarding the Eurobricks Contests: CONTESTS ARE FOR FUN! Of course there's competition, but at the end of the day, LEGO is just a hobby and the main goal for each of us is to have fun! CONTEST SPECIFIC RULES AND REGULATIONS The entry needs to have a name. 16. Yeah sure, go ahead. I will get a topic online shortly. So NON-VEHICLE it is. (animals allowed, but also other machinery, mechanical stuff etc) Please wait a bit with detailed questions till I have the topic online. Hopefully this will be tomorrow, but I am kinda busy. I will do my best. Otherwise it will be next weekend. Let me try to get it online now... Okay done. The topic is pretty basic without lots of rules/info. So let's discuss in the topic.
  17. This is a difficult one. but since it is not used to transport things or people I thinkt it fits. Vehicle: a thing used for transporting people or goods, especially on land, such as a car, lorry, or cart. I do think we can judge these different models and I do not want to limit the scope too much.
  18. I think we need to go for that. Not being able to build a vehicle is enough of a challenge. So it's nice to have some freedom in choosing what to build.
  19. Hi, The proposed dates are Thursday the 1st of May till Sunday the 4th of May. Usually we do Wednesday to Sunday. That would result the 30th of April, but Holodoc and (most likely) myself, we will arrive on Thursday. I will post more information shortly.
  20. How about we do NON-VEHICLE after all. There seem to be enough different ideas.
  21. So, do we prefer an animal contest over a non-vehicle/non-animal contest? I was actually thinking about the latter, but if you all prefer animals, I don't mind. If we go ahead with that I am inclined to allow mythical creatures and the likes (pokemon and such).
  22. Lol, no worries. We won't arrest you Just be careful with such content.
