  1. This definitely feels like official set releases. - Any news on the 2024 sets? [information is published] - Any news on the 2025 sets?
  2. Yeah, I'm sure adding truck would have helped a lot I don't even know what those are lol. I guess I know Geekservos. But no. Buwizz and SBricks are two commonly used products here in Technic, so we usually allow those when we allow motorization. And Buwizz and SBricks are hubs, not motors. Yeah, I guess that's okay. Well, it's basically the only fun I have during this contest (just kidding, I love to see the builds) You guys never cease to amaze me and you never disappoint. "Build a vehicle with four or six wheels". It all sounds so simple
  3. That was basically my idea (more or less) for TC2 (the first contest I hosted) but we still haven't done this My idea was a non-vehicle contest.
  4. There is nothing preventing us from doing it again, but we have indeed done this before. But the concept is definitely interesting enough to do it again.
  5. LoL But you can simply take some pictures with your smart phone. Just use a neutral background. Doesn't have to be white. I went through the previous contest and none of the entries used digital artwork, so let's stick to actual photo's and videos. You can create an animated picture as long as it's based on actual images.
  6. There is ample time, so that's no excuse. How does it save money?
  7. Studfull decoration is absolutely allowed. As lomg as it is decoration and not “model team” or “creator expert”. Buwizz is allowed. Sbricks too. Lol
  8. You totally understand the spirit of the contest. This is exactly what we have in mind.
  9. I agree. Let’s stick to vehicles which use the wheels for their primary movement function.
  10. My explanation was confusing, sorry. Count the wheels. Not the axles. Exactly. Ships are not allowed. The are not driven by wheels. Airplanes are in they grey area. Maybe we should disallow flying vehicles, in the spirit of the contest. Interested to hear people's opinions.
  11. It is not exactly what I was looking for, but it's hard for me to deny it's a vehicle. So yeah, it's a vehicle. And if it uses 4, 5 or 6 wheels, it's allowed in the contest. Not if it has already been posted somewhere. We always ask to build something new, so using a cabin which you already have shown in public is not allowed. I know it's thin line and people will obviously re-use some of their stuff. But if it has been posted (and possibly discussed) somewhere people will probably find out. The contest is about building a new moc, so build a new cabin. And it's hard to determine whether a cabin is new or not, because most cabins will look more or less the same. Just make it different enough that's a not a blatant copy of work you already have published.
  12. I have never used that option. Interesting. Related Items: Collapse ▲ This Wheel, Tire & Tread fits with the following Wheel: Part 44292 Wheel 30.4mm D. x 20mm with 3 Pin Holes Part 66155 Wheel 30.4mm D. x 20mm with Center Axle Holes Motorcycle Part 54087 Wheel 30.4mm D. x 20mm with No Pin Holes Part 42716 Wheel 30.4mm D. x 20mm with No Pin Holes and 5 Large Spokes Part 56145 Wheel 30.4mm D. x 20mm with No Pin Holes and Reinforced Rim I will use this as the "official" list for allowed rims.
  13. Interesting construction. For this contest let's stick to the rims TLG used in their official models.
  14. I am interested to hear what you had in mind though. Hmmm I hadn't though of that. I am okay with any rim used in one of these sets, since that's an official combo: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=15413&in=S I will alter the rules later.
  15. Yes, we have ample time for this one. People are enjoying their Summer holidays, so no rush for this one.
  16. The idea behind the contest is that everyone uses the same tire....and using the same rim. So each entry will have the same setup, wheel-wise. So let's stick to the default rim used with this tire. I will alter the rules.
  17. You need to count the wheels. Double axle counts for two wheels.

  19. Yes, that's okay! You can use any controller to control your model.
  20. Because if we do eight, people will ask for ten The goal of this contest is to build compact models. Eight wheels will probably result in trucks with trailers etc. That's not what we are aiming for. Just building the truck will do (for example). Not if it has already been posted somewhere.
  21. As long as the TLG model itself wasn't licensed. There are loads of other vehicles. So no, a car or truck is not mandatory.
  22. Sorry it took a while. Thanks for the nudges/bumps.
  23. Motorization is optional, so it's definitely not mandatory.
