Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Lion King replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Not that i know of - I heard the rumor that a hotdog truck GWP would be avaialbe in February. I would love to se a 16x32 ocular building later in 2024! But we only heard the rumor that there would be a”second” modular and we are not convinced. We have Avengers Tower coming along wiht Natural History Museum. a 16x32 modular building is more affordable and more fun to add to our cities! -
This is just me thinking wishfully…. I would love to see someting different about Winter Vilage - a 16x32 modular building with some Christmas decorations. Like…. 1.) Post Office with o me colorful presents to mail or pick up and colorful wrapping papers (where customers can purchase). And employees could wear elvish hats. 2.) Antique Toy Storye with some throwbacks to old lego sets. For example, there is Police Officer from CMF Series 18 with a printed 1x2 tile that refers to the police car set back in 1978. A Christmas tree, rocking horse, hobby horse would be included as well. 3.) Townhouse comes with a chimney (not like Santa’s Vilsit chimney since it may be too big for 16x32 building) and some cute decorations out in the front. All three modular buildings would have some snow patches. They may not fit nto Winter Village collection but would fit into Modular Buildings Collection very nicely. But I love idea of Christmas-themed modular buildings coming in Winer Village collection tho. I gues I’m in a minority then.

I mean…”go back a page” is pretty much vague. And now you said you posted it yourself, which it’s not that vague. Thanks for your “hellp”, tho. Anways…. the more I look at Orient Express, the more it reminds me of the Polar Exprss. Now I hope lego would do a Polar Express set. Maybe some of us coud MOC/MOD it at least.

I have zero interest in this lovely train except for a minifiure that looks like Pippin Reed / Gail Storm.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Lion King replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
So both Natural History Museum and Orient Express sets will be available no Dec 1st and Avengers Tower will be avaialbe on Nov 24th, according to the Lego website. I suspect that Lego wants to put expensive ets into market for Christmas rather than put modular building on Jan 1st release. -

As we approach Christmas season, I notice that Police Station is. Marked as “Last Chance” but not Bookshop and Assembly Square. Both sets are labeled as “Hard to Find”. I think Lego is way behind on updating the shopping site, like they haven’t removed Vidiyo, Minions, Xtra, and even Creator Expert (Bookshop and Assembly Square are branded as Creator Expert) from that webpage. -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 25. Rumors and discussion
Lion King replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Swords are not in use in our time but guns are in use. It could make sense why Lego make a lot of new sword variants but not go for modernizing gun molds. Swords are either historical, sci-fi (see Star Wars) or fantasy while guns are more historical. Swords are still concerned as a form of violence tho. And I agree with Accio Lego on guns. But I would loe to see futuristic weapons tho.- 574 replies

I guess the Flower Cart GWP is the first modular GWP set after all. -

I feel Flower Pot is more like a costumed figure… Acorn Guy doesn’t look like he is in a costume. And Mushroom Girl is perfect companion for him. So I rule out Flower Pot.- 574 replies

I don’t mind revisiting. The existing characters in the older CMF series as you said about a belly piece for sumo wrestler. Or a new highly-detailed skirt for Kimono lady. Or a ninja with some new weapon or a gliding kite. Also we don’t have some certain cultural Japanese figures, such as oni, Managua fan, a super-duper cute girl wih “Hello Kitty” headgear, a shogun, a clan samurai, a mythical god/goddess, a Japanese folktale character, a ramen Chef, a ronin an archer, a kimono-wearing man….Of course, there are some characters from Ninjago ses… I will take that Mushroom Girl.- 574 replies

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Lion King replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
That’s why I asked if Vintage Taxi was the first modular GWP so far. I’m quite unsure if the flower cart GWP was reallly counted as a modular GWP to join the collection. I won’t count Ideas GWP as a modular one. Since Police Sttion was the first modular to be branded as “Icons”, there is no GWP for it. Boutique Hotel has Vintage Taxi; Jazz Club has Moving Truck; and Natural History Museum would have a hotdog truck. I’m little surprised we don’t get a old-timely police car for Police Station and/or Natural History Museum. Anyways, I really like that modular GWP to join the series. -

Right butit still fits into modular building collection. So it could make sense that it goes with Detective’s Office set regardless what we got one in Assembly Square. -

Out of curiousity, was the vintage taxi set the first modular GWP? I was told that the flower cat GWP to go with Detective’s Office set in 2015. It makes me wonder if there are more GWPs to go with modular buildings some years ago
