  1. Minas Tirith looks great, it's nice to see the new brick bricks being used already. I'm interested to see how you handle the tiers.
  2. Mister Phes, do you own every pirate set ever produced? Is so some pictures would be awesome.
  3. Loved this when I saw it in the history forum. Now that you've posted it here why don't you try turning it into a cannon-era galley? Major changes I can think of are to make it into a one-decker, give it fixed cannons in front, and lateen sails.
  4. Freebies: 1 Staff of Destruction 1 Mithril Dagger 1 Double Bow 1 Robe of the Invoker 3 Robes of the Illusionist 1 Studded Leather Armor 2 Mithril Armor 1 Savage Trap 1 Reinforced Shield 1 Tome of Rejuvenation 1 Prism of Figments 1 Soul Siphon Skull 2 Rings of Superior Magic Purchase: 1 Timelock Orb (1 Speed) 1 Golden Shield (1 Speed)
  5. Hey, we need avatars to compete with the Bronies. =D Although I bet yours is never going to change, you aren't Brickdoctor without the scout.

  6. Sure. I don't think we're ever online at the same time, so I've set up a communal mule, click here for the account info. All of you, feel free to use it when you need to. And Brickdoctor, can you also remove a Robe of the Adept from my list? Thanks! EDIT 1: No, I didn't. Oh well, I've already promised it. EDIT 2: Just died twice in a row. I'm burning through my freebies really quickly by myself. Here's the updated list: Hornblower: Robe of the Conjurer (Tier 4; Defense +6, Wisdom +2, MP +20) Wand of Dark Magic (Tier 6; Damage 70-90) Wand of Arcane Flamex2 (Tier 7; Damage 80-100) Heavy Crossbow (Tier 7; Damage 50-70, Range 7.5) Wyvern Skin Armor (Tier 6; Defense +12, Dexterity +2) Elvencraft Quiverx2 (Tier 3; costs 65 MP, Damage 220-260, Paralyze Effect, Dexterity +3 1% Fame Bonus)
  7. My favorite MOC in a long time. Really. I'm late to the party so I can only echo what everyone else has said: you've definitely captured the classic, overgrown, palm leafy, piratey feeling: It looks much more sophisticated than its official counterpart Rock Island Refuge: and I would've played with this for hours as a kid. I really love the ramp leading into the skull's mouth for some reason. Hope to see more from you, do you have any other bases in the works?
  8. Hoping for a quick revival of the master.

  9. Are you planning to have non-EB members in the guild? That would be a little strange. A couple freebies: Robe of the Conjurer: Tier 4, +6 DEF, +2 WIS, +20 MP (1) Robe of the Adept: Tier 5, +7 DEF, +3 WIS, +25 MP (I have 3) Wand of Dark Magic:Tier 6, Damage: 70-90 (80) (1) Wand of Arcane Flame: Tier 7, Damage: 80-100 (Average 90) (1) Heavy Crossbow: Tier 7, Damage: 50-70 (Average: 60), Range: 7.5 (1) Wyvern Skin Armor: Tier 6, DEF +12 , DEX +2 (1) Elvencraft Quiver (Tier 3; costs 65 MP, Damage 220-260, Paralyze Effect, Dexterity +3 1% Fame Bonus) (I have 2) Dragonscale Armor: Tier 8, +20 DEF (1) Avenger Staff: Tier 6, Shots: 2, Damage: 40-70 (Average: 55), Projectile Speed: 18, Range: 8.55 (I have 2) Had some mithril stuff too, but then I died. And everyone, feel free to call me Skipper. Hornblower is from the Royal Navy books about Horatio Hornblower, but the instant I stepped in-world someone asked "Can you blow my horn" and now it feels somewhat uncomfortable.
  10. Argh. I've lost two high-level, well-equipped (I just got the Soul Siphon Skull! ) Necromancers today by getting shotgunned by the wimpy Grey Blob. Couldn't believe it when I just died. Anyone who wants to team up, I'll be on US west in an hour. Scratch the above time, I'll be on in half an hour.
  11. Looks good, I would only change the colorscheme - grey is a bit bland. For the prow, I think the non-keel part sticks out too much, maybe try sinking the whole construction into the hull piece? Like my solution.
  12. 30% Less than I expected, given my forum preferences on EB. It's probably because there were no Pirates when I was growing up, I got the BSB as a legend and then my interest shifted to KK2 (what was I thinking ) and then Star Wars. Now it's firmly here though, I got the ITP last year along with a bunch of cannon battles. This is the only theme I collect now, so I'm hoping for some sets in '13.
  13. The addiction has spread, and it will consume us all!

  14. Good thing I quit the crystal then, we had maybe ten n00bs there hiding from the gods. Great playing with you Brickdoctor. I have a question, how do you find people so accurately? Can you find someone who's in-world from the Nexus? Whenever I jump out, I'm afraid I won't find you again.
  15. I got bored after another couple minutes, went outside the walled place it was in and got destroyed by a couple gods. Today's been a pretty crappy day for staying alive, I've lost two level 20's and one 12. K-nut, the gold statue is on the left side of the place where you spawn in the Nexus. It's the same size as a PC, which is why you might get confused.
  16. Okay, I'll stick with the wizard then. I'm in the nexus right now, you? EDIT: Shoot, I just died, tried to take on a god.
  17. I wasn't going to post in here but then I randomly saw Brickdoctr and CallMePie in-world and laughed my megablocks off. I'm hornblower, level 20 wizard online right now. Still pretty noobish, so I need some advice. Is it worth it to stick with him? If not then which class is best? I prefer long-range.
  18. Here's my try - LXF FILE It's all right, I guess, pretty clunky and fragile (IRL) though. EDIT: An exploded view:
  19. I don't think it's really important to keep the gun configurations realistic, just by building off of the IFS the design's already not realistic (the multi-color colorscheme, the "frames" jutting out . . .). Besides, it can look really good with an unrealistic design, like on the Dauntless. But to answer your question, a fifth-rate has only one full gundeck so for two you'd have to go with at least a fourth rate, which is a minimum of fifty guns. That would mean some major expansion, which is why I think you should just build however you like and disregard the RN rating system.
  20. Awesome trireme, you're right, it's not a ship we see very often. Are the gundecks accesible? I'd love to see some pictures of that, 60 minifigs rowing in unison. There's only one small thing that's bothering me, the eyes. I dunno, the front just looks like an angry bird to me. Maybe something like this would work better?
  21. This one (just checking)? Macoco, have you guys seen/heard of any 2012 POTC sets besides the Flying Dutchman? Because the POTC line can be nominally over next year even if the Flying Dutchman set is released, just as the Pirates line ended in 2009 even with the subsequent release of the IFS in 2010.
  22. If TLG ever decides to stop giving us megablocky catapults, I could totally see this in a set. Simple, functional, and looks good. To visit your profile, you need ten posts minimum.
  23. I'm completely unfamiliar with the QAV, but as a generic frigate I love this, the shapes and rigging especially are spot on. If I ever get to brickbuild my frigate I'll be happy if mine turn out half as good.
  24. Your dedication is really amazing - you've made a decal for nearly every part of the minifig! I can't wait to see how these will turn out, judging by the quality of the molds I'm sure these will be awesome.
