  1. It's much better! I like the snot battlements as well as the tower, although I'm not sure how if I like the lower black part of it. It looks very dragon knight-ish now, and the backstory is interesting as well.
  2. That's a lot of yellow! Looking forward to more updates. If I may suggest one thing, I think it has a bit of BYW Syndrome.
  3. Interesting moc, I've never seen this type of ship before. The slide for the gun is nice. How does the jib/beam attach to the mast?
  4. I like the tower, it's pretty movie realistic. Are you planning to buy this?
  5. The blue roofing is really nice. I think moving the steeple to the front was also a good idea.
  6. Nice MOC, I always like when a brickfilmer pays attention to their set. It makes the movie so much better than just 2 figs talking to each other on a baseplate.
  7. I agree, it's a great set and review. But somehow I don't like those horses. The detailed prints are are just un-LEGO-ish to me.
  8. Thanks Blackmoor! I'm planning to buy it in a year or so after I see what Bricklink can do. I already have 30 cannons + 30 redcoats to man it .
  9. It's on the brickshelf, on the left.
  10. I'm new to this discussion, but reading the past page or so on the "hogging" problem, it seems the rule is to prevent people from overarming their ships. If so, why not calculate the hogging simply based on armament? This way you could avoid penalizing based on weight. For example, for every midsection you can have say 2 guns per gundeck, and any extras would be counted against the speed? I might have missed something/completely misunderstood so I'll leave this to those more familiar with ships than me.
  11. The cavalry is really impressive, and I enjoyed all the Flikr photos. Grinds my army into the dust .
  12. Since I'm not sure how much my n00b account has for storage, I'll just give you the link: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=479656 It'd be awesome if you built this, I've been wanting to do it for a while but me loot's been plundered . I'd love to see it, so post pictures!!! and give credit please . Thanks for all the comments, I didn't expect such a positive reaction on my first moc. Cheers
  13. On Stranger Tides - Yeah I saw that, the star is awesome Sebeus - It's the security system I forgot (the fort is modular so I just copy pasted another wall section instead of making a door. I'll change that soon) Big Cam - Sorry, I think it's fixed now. MstrOfPppts - Thanks, I'll look into that as well. I appreciate it!
  14. Amazing! It looks even better in daylight, and it fits into the scenery very well. I like the idea of a dam. Cheers
  15. Great review! I'm not usually into trains but the loco in this looks pretty nice, especially after your review. Thanks!
  16. I'd love to see all of these castle/timber mocs together in some sort of small European town.
  17. It's not as bad as you think Peppermint_M However I agree with a lot of the suggestions above, especially the timbered house. A lot of the dragon sets have some wood element, so this would fit with the theme and be realistic (hoardings). I think it would look better if you made the walkway on the walls one brick lower, because the guard on the left side looks like he's standing on top, which isn't very realistic. Finally you said you were going for a realistic castle, so I would suggest making a gate of some kind as opposed to just an arch, which would make it IMO more solid looking. Good luck!
  18. Thanks for the comment! I've tried to make the bastions as you said, but couldn't get the angles to match up in LDD - unlike with physical brick hinges they don't "resolve" themselves, if that makes sense. Good luck with your fort, I look forward to the exchange of fire .
  19. My favorite castle since I saw def's review is the 6080 kings castle, because the design is just so LEGO-ish, if that makes sense.
  20. Three men have built that in a few hours ? They've probably been promised extra rations of rum Anyways, this looks quite promising, and I love the colorscheme. As for the blockiness, I don't think it'll be a problem. Have you seen this moc? I think it's built with roughly the same techniques, and it looks quite beautiful IMO. One thing I might change though would be to offset/checker the gunports.
  21. Amazing moc! The detailing is superb . I especially like the contrast between the stark grey of the back and the colorful inhabited side in these pictures, imagining how "Viktor" added random junk from the swamp to the building.
  22. VERSION 2 VERSION 1
  23. I really like how you incorporated the Black Falcon's Fortress into the castle . The tudor walls are nice as well. Great MOC!
