Interesting. Well, (if this is true) I hope the Flying Dutchman will be a "last hurrah" for the POTC theme like the Imperial Flagship and Joust sets. I'm eager to see classic pirates return, in any form.

Mafia School: The Witchbreed Day III
Skipper replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
No one seems to be very forwards today. I'll put out a vote. Vote: Dragus (darkdragon) Why haven't you posted? I see you're "on the net" right now yet you haven't contributed a single thing to our discussion. Please explain yourself. Looking at past day's records, she has done a great job of lurking without drawing suspicion, I wonder why? This is the total log (I can't quote from a locked topic): Day One: 1) Oh Dear Lord, the retched Witchbreed walk among us! We must all ask for forgiveness for what we have to do. We must not harm any innocents this day as we sniff out the scum among us. 2)Wait, I missed the eclairs? I did happen to find a piece of the strange puzzle, and I'm not sure if sharing is right or not but we'll never know what it is unless everyone shows what they have. Right? So here is my piece of the great puzzle, I hope it is helpful to town. MAP PIECE PICTURE For right now, I will Vote: Flanagan, The Whipping Boy (Flare) because he is saying things, just enough to not be the "unhelpful quite people". However, he says nothing of substance. I look forward to hearing his defense. Day Two 1) *responding to wife of darth* From what I can see, you are not being voted off in a landslide yet, as a matter of fact the last official count lists you in a tie. There is still time left to defend yourself. No votes are final yet, but time is marching along forward as it tends to do. Day Three: 1) Now that I'm all caught up with the current conversations, here's my take on it. RE: Wully I don't like the looks of all of this bandwagon voting for Wully. This is just what happened with Wife of Darth yesterday and look at what a horrible night we had? Yes, Wully has admitted to being a killer - but he has also said he will side with town tonight. If Wully can survive the night and help the town tonight, I think he deserves that chance and we could really use any help we can get. RE: Flanagan I am sorry to have voted for him, even though in the end it didn't matter. I wish he would have given a defense of some kind, it is truly sad another town was murdered in the night. RE: Wife of Darth It really breaks my heart that nearly everyone jumped on the bandwagon to lynch her yesterday. Yes, she was acting crazy and drawing a lot of attention. I think we can all agree on that. Instead of jumping on the next bandwagon of voting for the first person we see, maybe we should think back to yesterday and who started the nudging of the votes towards a townie. Today I think it would be better for us to lynch a scum then to lynch a neutral, though I admit that either of those is better than lynching another townie. Based on what was discussed yesterday, it seems to me that Franklin Holmes started the landslide against Wife of Darth. I could have misunderstood what he was saying, but that is the way it looks to me. Vote: Franklin Holmes, The Manciple (fhomess) I look forward to hearing your defence, sir. 2) Thank you, Franklin Holmes, for giving back some decent non-panicked information in your defense. I'm currently leaning towards unvoting you, but I just need to weight all the everything (facts, conjecture, guesses, etc) first. I also need to vote for someone, so before I unvote you I have to figure out who else might I vote for. I honestly do not feel that Wully should be lynched today. There are some ideas rattling around in my mind, but I must wait a bit before I mention them. I do not want to pop off with every little idea and create another unfounded landslide, that is the last thing we need right now. I will be back a little later today with some ideas and reasoning behind them. 3)Unvote: Franklin Holmes, The Manciple (fhomess) Vote: Yulie Yodie (Yumiyoshi) I'm voting Yulie because she says things that don't a lot of sense and it's hard to follow her logic. For instance, and I realize this has already been brought up, she wants to attack people for not speaking up and then turns around and attacks people for speaking up. I don't think my vote this late will really change things today, but I hope it will open up some more talking and thinking for tomorrow. I hope we catch a scum today and Wully catches one tonight. Not much. And maybe more importantly, nothing committing. She did accuse Franklin (a confirmed scum) yesterday, but as it was a very transient attack I am inclined to believe it was just a ploy to publicly distance themselves. -

Skipper replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I interpreted her post as not wanting to share it in public yet, so I proposed doing it privately as an interim measure so I could defend myself. But if anyone has any claims against me, I'd be happy to discuss them here or anywhere. -

Could you at least PM me so I can defend myself? I'd rather not be wrongly lynched without being able to speak against it. -
Whoa, that's brilliant. These in conjunction with your WIP trebuchet, I think everyone will be too scared to join any guild but Avalonia. I'm surprised the ballista works so well, evidently you've combined looks and functionality very well. How far does it shoot?

Yep people, we can't get complacent just because we got two scum last night. Stay focused. Depends. I'm waiting on a PM to come in on this very subject. But for now yes, I still think he's scum. For the same reasons as yesterday, and that he's said some rather incongruous stuff in PMs. Alright, let's take a look back at exactly what she said. She has no evidence against me except that I hadn't posted since voting started. True. I've explained this before, I'll do it again. I was at school. Now we're on break I'll be able to post more frequently when everyone's are around. Once I got here I reread logs of past days, and then "came forward with a theory of my own," questioned someone else's motives for a vote, etc . . . not what you'd call a lurker, besides somewhat negating her accusation, although the suspicious evidently remains. Cecily was a great player though, her accusations seemed on target and she sparked a lot of conversation so I can see why you're still suspicious of me. -
I don't think fallenangel's referring to the "commercial" type of spam but rather the people who just post comments like "cool!" "awesome!" "great job!" This thread is a good example, three out of eight comments are of this variety. While not technically spam, I have to say this annoys me a bit too. If there's nothing to criticize at least say why you like it. These posts are essentially worthless IMO, and take away from the "discussion" part of EB and make it like facebook. Or even mocpages.

Avalonia Trading Company Watchtower
Skipper replied to Captain Blackmoor's topic in Guilds of Historica
Looks great Blackmoor! I've been waiting to see this one for a while. It fits in perfectly with Avalonia, though of course with a piratey flair. The cannon holder design is very interesting, may I ask was this based off of anything or just what looked good? Overall I love it. Although I think the ATC may be in need of some money. -

I need to go now, but Great job guys! Two down, two to go. -
Nice! I just checked out your whole town, I love how it's Classic Town styled, but cooler. This little Post Office is great too, the color works great with the bank. Post on bike on mail on brick on lightningtiger!
-
Nice. Like the others I like the first two the most, specifically the first. It really captures the essence of Blacktron as well as that of a dropship, fierce and heavily armed. I'm not too keen on the command ship, it looks somewhat like a minifig scale speeder bike IMO.
-
Whoa, can't believe I missed these the first time. They all looks spectacular, unparalleled shaping. I've only been to a LEGOLAND park once, I was six so sadly I didn't care about Miniland. I was wondering if anyone had found a pic of this ship in its entirety? I like what I see of it so far, it looks the most "period" of them all. Thanks!

Great representation of the battle. I think it'd be awesome if you build a LEGO backdrop of the mountain/sky to further replicate the painting. IMO that's actually a cool idea for a series, remaking paintings in LEGO form. I like it.

Mafia School: The Witchbreed Day II
Skipper replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Could you explain this vote more please? It seems unlikely to me that Voltana is lying, as she would have to have extremely good luck to randomly get a truly non-town player. Unless of course they are both scum, in which case our true inspector should've revealed themselves. -

I am growing suspicious of Zam Kuric for a number of reasons: 1) Useless posts. An example that comes readily to mind is todays "milk and cookie time." But in general they are very short and don't really help much, and sometimes are pandering to us, such as the "hope is nothing without the willpower to enact it." We don't need philosophy here. 2) Yesterday's voting. Yesterday some of us were talking about how Zakura made an easy target for scum to vote off. The converse is also true, if Zakura were scum he'd be an easy target for us townies to vote off and thus a liability for the mafia trying to protect him. A lot of people (including myself ) piled on to vote Darth once Zam came into the majority at 6:10 PM November 17. Almost like they were trying to save Zakura from lynching. And remember, of the three people that voted Zakura, two were innocents. This would make sense if he were mafia because A) They wouldn't want to vote him and B) it leaves more potential mafia votes for Darth. Note that I am not explicitly accusing those that voted for Darth after Zakura took the lead, there could easily have been some scum in there before. Thus I will Vote: Zam Kuric (Zakura) I hope I have explained my thoughts well, if not feel free to contest/ask for clarification. -
Mafia School: The Witchbreed Day II
Skipper replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Just got here. I think it would be useful to keep Wully around if he is the serial killer. But what if he's a mafia simply claiming to be a SK to avoid lynching? The "not town" alignment is not specific to whether he's a neutral or mafia. See here, under "Variations." I need more time to form my own suspicions, I'll say them later. -

Ah, ok. I forgot about #2 when I was planning out repercussions on paper. Makes sense now. Which is why I shouldn't post late at night. I'm off to bed. -

All right, why are you so ready to trust your source? You don't have to reveal them/their name, only give us a good reason/evidence why you believe that person when they say they're cop. Because if you've been duped and then we do what I think is the best plan with the information that you've given us, then this will happen: We lynch Wully, who is actually Town. Then as a follow up we lynch you, because it looks like you tricked us: and you are also Town, having been tricked yourself. Resulting in two town deaths, and we still don't know who tricked you in the first place. -

Skipper replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Biskie: My point was this: let's assume Voltana's contact is not the real cop. Then the real cop would know that Voltana's postulate is a fabrication after reading the thread (which I know everyone has, as we've all posted in it, unless I counted wrong). Thus as a townie their duty would be to post and tell us that Voltana/Wully are lying, regardless of whether or not we'd believe him. However you're right that we don't know if Wully is a serial killer. But for the moment, I still think we should lynch him. If he's Witchbreed, yay for us. If he's a serial killer, meh. If he's a townie, then we can confidently lynch Voltana tomorrow. -
Mafia School: The Witchbreed Day II
Skipper replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Don't skip pudding. True, however unless the cop was killed last night (3/17 chance) then they almost certainly are, as we've all checked in and no one has refuted their claim. Serial Killers aren't supposed to help the town, they have no alignment and win when they're the last man standing. Thus they can kill both scum/town. -
Mafia School: The Witchbreed Day II
Skipper replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Interesting. With that in mind I need to go back and read Day One (again ). Since if we lynch Wully and he turns out town then we know Voltana is scum (thus he is unlikely to lie on such a verifiable claim), I'm inclined to act on this tonight. "Not town" means Witchbreed right, Voltana? It's a little thing, but could you clarify? I'd hate to think there's another faction. -

Oh shit. So many dead, even our now confirmed roleblocker. I'll go look at the log of Day One now, hopefully get some clues. -
B. I love forts! Although I think you should build whatever makes you happy. They're all good ideas that you could flesh out eventually.
