  1. I'm a stalk . . . I tend to go profile surfing a lot, and I only visit EB at night, so it's likely coincidental. =)

  2. Nice ship, I've always loved your MOCs because they really capture the cartoony LEGO Pirates feel, albeit with some interesting techniques. It is unfortunate there's no interior though, this ship looks perfect for that. Do you have any other ships planned?
  3. Whoa, I almost missed this. She's beautiful, the design looked too gaudy from the LDD but in bricks she looks perfect, congrats. Eagerly awaiting close-ups, she looks to have a great interior.
  4. Don't know what to say that hasn't already been said, but I really love her lines. It's everything I want my frigate to be, when I get the chance to build it. I've also always liked your unconventional colorschemes, this one looks even better than the Pallas'.
  5. I say keep the Scorpion and kick the Hawk. Considering your extremely limited brick supply, Scorpion was turning out really well - great shape and colors. I think it has a lot of potential, especially if you can locate some jumpers off Bricklink before rebuilding to smooth out the curves. And as you said, it has a sort of symbolic value, being your first post-ship. Just my thoughts.
  6. Apologies if this has been posted already, I did scan through the last six pages or so. Anyways, for those waiting to see what the Orc Forge looked like, here it is (found in the SW 2012 thread, taken by member "Sir von Lego"): http://i.tinysrc.mobi/800/600/http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SvL/test/img_0310.jpg I don't understand why they chose to turn such an insignificant scene into a set, but I think it looks quite good. Of course the CGI does help with this, but I think it captures the feel of the movie very well. It's actually quite interesting, I feel like the quality of TLG's sets have recently moved towards MOC quality, we wouldn't have seen things like the brickbuilt rock base before. EDIT: Megablock you LEGOman273, I type too slowly.
  7. Another beautiful print. Though I do have to say, I don't quite like the leopard (?) print, it looks a bit too detailed for LEGO. When will we see a completed soldier? I'm impatient to see the results.
  8. Nyan Cat was all over my school last year. I like your wall of LEGO art, have you made any other mosaics? EDIT: You should make a buttered toast version.
  9. I agree with Matt22hew, some other angles would be great. She looks good, my only suggestion is to make all of the bricks filling in the depressions on the prefabs brown, and just keep a smooth black line across the top. It looks a little messy right now IMO.
  10. I'm glad you decided to continue, it'll be really interesting to compare your interpretation to TLG's. Bag End looks good, you were really thorough in including all the important features. A small prop of BIlbo's party would be nice, but if this were a real set I'd probably complain about if for unnecessarily jacking up the price. Looking forward to the next installments. What's the largest set you're planning to make?
  11. Does this show up for you?
  12. Pic of the Orc Forge here. Having thought this over I think I"m going to get one of the Helm's Deep set and then 2 each of the Uruk-hai Army and Weathertop sets to mod in as the Deeping Wall and cliffs, respectively. I think think the Helm's Deep really has a lot of potential, it looks like a shell right now but it could be almost MOC - quality with some modding.
  13. RIP. The other player in there got really fed up with me just running in circles and shooting my MP power around your grave. On the other hand, just 15 more fame until I can suicide!
  14. Nice. I've never quite been able to figure out Sketchup so I'm quite impressed, it's nice in that it allows you to add sails, something I can't do in LDD. The ship itself looks good, I've wanted to try building an unrated for a while now. I like the stern design, and I might adopt it onto my ships - it's less mysterious than others (I still can't figure out, say, the Vesta's).
  15. I was sorting all the my items by dropping them in bags in the guild hall for my mules to pick up, but for some reason halfway through they all disappeared. So I just lost 3 Horror Staffs, 2 Gold Bows, 2 Illusionist Robes, and 1 Drake Hide, among other things. Good thing I hadn't dropped my VBow yet. I'll be on at my regular time, ~ 10 EST Bed early today, it's been a long week.
  16. Instead of using your EB storage, you should upload your pics to a site like Brickshelf (currently down) or Flickr and then deeplink them. I look forward to seeing them. Any plants to make a full, say pentagonal fortress? That'd be quite cool in this style.
  17. Love it! I also like building this kind of realistic fort, although my scale (which is the "hopefully buyable" scale) doesn't let me go into so much detail or accuracy. Do you have other modules built? I'd love to see them.
  18. Bricklink has them for ~.40 Euro, and the top two sellers have over two thousand. Here.
  19. I don't think I'm ever going to make it to 800 Fame with an Archer. Went in for a quick spin and died from lag. I'm switching back to Necro. My freebies post has been updated. There's less stuff now, I have to be more selective with pots taking up so much space.
  20. After seeing the preliminary box pics, the only set I was seriously considering buying was the Battle of Helm's Deep. After the Toy Fair pics, I"m not so sure - while for a LEGO set, it does a great job of capturing all the main features (much better than I expected it to), it just seems kind of hollow - a big facade of curved wall panels.
  21. Looks great, I'm quite impressed with how large of an interior you've managed to fit on the prefabs - makes me want to go back and rework mine. I can't critique the accuracy nearly as well as Croissant and Foremast Jack but aesthetically I think it'd look much better if you smoothed the horizontal bulge of the ship using jumpers.
  22. Woohoo, I was beginning to think this project had died. The build looks great! I love that mortar design, I might steal it in the future for a bomb ketch. The crane's design is identical to that of the Eldorado Fortress. I thought it would be a nice tribute, as CB is classically inspired. The original was functioning but as there's no string in LDD I just used a chain.
  23. Oh. Showing off my noobiness. I guess I'd better start looking at those trading price guides that you mentioned.
  24. I just scammed myself. Gave away my Magesteel Quiver and Ring of Paramount Vitality thinking I'd get a Bow of Innocent Blood but somehow I never got the bow. And now the guy that took them is shamelessly selling them right in front of me. I don't think I've ever been this pissed over a couple of pixels. . . . . . . . Doc, I do have a Soul Siphon Skull if you need it.
