  1. Ahoi and may the force be with you, pirate! Finally I present to you the MOC by my friend Jan-Hendrik and me: The Pirate Death Star some may have seen it in person in Skaerbaek last autumn but now I had time to post it... The different Death Stars are a building project invented by my LUG Steinhanse, so every year there will be several crazy Death Stars! Video Levels The death star consists of 4 levels and a big cannon, as the original lego set. The levels are devided as follows: Level 0: Deep Sea with fish and all the different sea creatures The Kraken Atlantis and more Level 1: Caves and shipwreck: The caves of the islanders, full of treasures. The pirates tavern under the hideout, partly in the old shipwreck. The dungeon of the redcoats The shipwreck Level 2: Island: The beach of the islanders The pirates hideout The Shipwreck bay The redcoats fort Level 3: Battle at sea : Ironhook and his Renegade Runner Revamp fighting Governor Broadside. Captain Redbeards crew on a treasure hunt, as well firing the big cannon. The redcoats lighthouse. The story of the plug. The caves have accessible stairways to the island. At sea level a technic chain powerd by a motor moves the boats and fish around. The big cannon fires a "Death Star cannon ball" All around in pictures: Level 0: Level 1: Level 2: Level 3: So, I hope there are not to much not not to few pictures.... I am really looking forward to your comments and hopefully some of you have seen it in Skaerbaek! All the best! Adrian
  2. Wow, great job, i have read a lot of your comments on brickset rsotd and you connected always everything to blacktron. So this is what you meant :D crazy build, especially the hull with bionicle parts!
  3. Looks great and I especially like the figures. Somehow i can not imagine how they constructed such a sturdy shelter on that small island… is there some story around it?
  4. Great to see this at bdp! Have already voted and there are several more pirate builds. This is one of the best ones in my opinion!
  5. Oh man, that was a lovely weekend in skaerbaek! It was a pleasure to talk to you and see some of your creations! And I also learned about that comics from you which were not released! I hope I can go this year again and we meet again. Hope you liked my (unfortunately not moving) boulds as well. This bouild is fantastic as well and everything looks even better in real and not crammed on fotos! So keep up and I am looking forward to what you are bouilding these days! All the best, Adrian aka Störtebricker
  6. Arr, my parrot told me, some fearless pirates plundert my captains quarter and robbed the boulding plans for my chip. I will let them know: I hope you are fast or I will catch you and let you walk the plank! Aye! Ok then, first: Great to see someone build another moving lego pirate ship! I think it turns out great so far. The technic cannons seem to shoot way easier than the others... I digged up some more videos of my Black-Pearl and added them to my Flickr-Album: Black Pearl at Flickr Probably this can give you some more inspiration. Unfortunately I dont have better videos from the steering mechanism because it has not changed much from The rolling dutchman. I hope to spend some more time again in this forum and will keep on following your updates. So see you soon!
  7. Hi everyone, sorry for bumping up this old topic but someone wants to bould a ship with functions as well, so I dig through my harddrive and added some videos of the functions and how the mechanisms work, check out my flickr album: Black Pearl at Flickr Black-Pearl Functions
  8. NPU for using the boat on the first floor! This is one of the few sets still missing in my collection. Have to get it soon !
  9. And the extra shot with the fotoshopped water spash… fantastic! I really love the smaller vessels and how much detail is possible to put into them !
  10. Wow, the Sails turn it into something realistic, could not imagine such a nice curve just from the renderings! I just think black rope would have fitted the black/red color scheme even better!
  11. Wow what a funny build! Have seen somewhere else a catpirate build and it was awesome, too! What a great contest theme! I really love the figs and when i saw the bongo cat I just see my sisters white cat and her fitting chat emojis she sends me all day. I will forward this to her right now!
  12. Wow, I thought i already commented on this beauty! Now there is no praise to add, just one minor thing: i would suggest to enlarge the sails a bit so that they get a bit more blowy/round.
  13. Congrats!!! , for me it was real fun (it seems it was a bit hard)!
  14. It seems you are following the clues very well (but pssst let the others have their fun as well)!
  15. @Mister Phes Hint No 1: "Pieces" Hint No 2: "The build" Hint No 3: "Years" Hint No 4+5: "Minifigures" Solution: Please let me know know how many hints you needed
  16. actually there are 4 different scenarios :D probably @Mister Phes should take a closer look from that angle, too. Thanks! Yes i do not want to spam all the forum with pictures, so I always put more on flickr. Thank you very much, it represents what was not possible in my childhood, due to very restrictive amount of green and plant parts...
  17. Yes I wanted to make it not as easy, but if nobody spot it, I can share some hints.
  18. Dear adventurer, this is the tale around the Temple of the Black Panther, follow the map and you will probably find it´s secrets... Deep in the south american jungle a shadow strikes through the thicket - the black Panther. It is worshipped by the native people and therefore they build a temple in his honour. To honour the god of the panther, they worship him with gifts of gold and blood... The adventures Part1: Clash of cultures After the landing of the spanish armada, they set forth into the jungle, seeking for the gold around the myths of el dorado. They made contact with the people and shared knowledge and goods so they could make a deal to get a map to the famous sectret temple in the jungle. With this help they managed to reach the tempel and made conttact with the prist of the panther. They have been welcomed friendly but it did not take long before the obsession for gold took over their minds... Part2: The black panther Years later, the ruins of the temple still resist the nature. A native strives through the jungle and came across already forgotten tempel. Suddenly the panther himselfs shows up and the native fled back into the jungle. Part3: Indiana Jones Getaway A shot bursts through the jungle! In the last second Indy jumps out of the way of the bullet across the big ants with the help of his whip. The russian agent has the choice, let him escape or confront herself to the dangers of the jungle? Part4: From Dusk Till Dawn - final szene (only open if you already know the movie) Extra: Nighmode and view from above Treasure hunt In the MOC is a hidden set, can you spot it? More pictures and a short video at flickr Album by Stoertebricker So now I finished my recap of my last builds, I hope you enjoy them! Adrian aka Störtebricker
  19. My comment was no criticism, I was just interested in, because I have a white hulll waiting for some building on top of my shelf, too.
  20. Thanks @Jack Sassy! I decided to take partly the prefab hull for stability reasons. But I divided it at the front to accompany the front wheels and the back ppart is brick built do get a more curvy shape to the stern (You can see it in the last foto). a black pearl is somehow black, true. The blue tiles scattered around give it some more reflections but yes, still black Thank you very much! Thanks @NOD and @ Henry from klemmbausteinlyrik, I think I would not had the time to make a video this long on my own.
  21. Wow what a firendsy colour, nearly without brown colour, i like it! is there some backstory, who is behind the magnetic north? Do you took some inspiration from MocYourBricks " Grenouille"? The hull looks similar.
  22. Hi mates! It has been some time, I only teased differend WIPs but never showed a finished one the last months... No honestly, I just had no time - but now it´s here: Davy Jones, do you fear the Black Pearl? The ship is fully motorized accompanying my "Rolling" Dutchman: Motorized Features: Rolling movement caused by waves (1. L-Motor) Motorized movement for- and backward (1. L-Motor, switched manually) Motorized steering with simoultaneously rotating ship´s wheel, rudder and steering mechanism (1.S-Motor) Motorized sail trim with turning capstan and changing sail position of all square sails (2.S-Motor) All features can be controlled by rc-control via 4 channels and two receivers The battery box can slide out easily to switch on/off and change batteries EXTRA: The lower cannons can fire a broadside automatically! General Features: Two decks with cannons (one side the lower deck is closed to store the motors) The two tripple-barreld chasers can manually slide backwards and then the gun ports can be closed Handmade sails or original Lego-Sails Two functional anchors Upper cabin minifigure size (illuminated by light-brick) The ropes between the masts can be removed easily to take them apart for transport Some videos in the flickr album, showing the different fuctions: Black-Pearl at Flickr Black-Pearl Full Broadside Firing 2 There is also a video on youtube showing the ship and its functions (german): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35WEGDM8yYE The functions are shown at e.g. 04:55 and the shooting mechanism at 07:18. I have the ship with self-made sails fitting the style of my "Rolling" Dutchman as well: I hope you enjoy it! My dream is a video reassembling the popular footage in the maelstroom, I hope I can arrange something similar in the future... Yours, Captain Störtebricker
  23. Thanks @all! Indeed it is less then 48studs deep and getting wider to the cathedral. I hope to continue the scene some day! Indeed you can play with it although there have to pass some years until someone is there to play with it... I forgot to ask if someone recomends to attach some of the harry-potter-hogwarts stickers to get some more details on the cathedrals panels, what do you think?
  24. JLa798zAADg6.... Sorry, I was 2 months off this forum during "summer", can someone sum up for me how many amazing new ships NOD just has published since then? I think I have to stop here commenting and just read the older posts...
  25. You are on a small sailing trip, only having time to check some news-websites and tada! There you see the Redoutable at TBB and think, I have seen parts of this already?! Great that you have finished this wonderful project! The picture with the size comparison is astonishing ! Well done!
