[MOC][Futuron] Retro Space Solar Ship
Horlack Bricks replied to Horlack Bricks's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
At first, I had thought of part N#2409. But after some testing I eliminated it. The proportions are too large and the dimensions of the "technological galleon must be proportional." Includes the sails and the strength of the mast! But it's still possible, if the ship is really bigger, and you have the time. My conception is the realism of the 70's and 90's as they saw it. This is why it has an impression of realism, because you saw it in your youth, but without being so with the knowledge of today. During the 70's and 90's, they were creating 14-18th century galleons, with engines, to make them look like spaceships. I took 4 Mangas for inspiration, but there are many more. Like Odin: Photon Sailer Starlight https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngfjBU1zh-o https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odin:_Photon_Sailer_Starlight In this Manga, Galleon-shaped ship, but hypertechnological. Typical of the 70's and 90's. Much like the Esmeraldas Ship in Captain Harlock or Leiji Universe The characters are copied from the Manga Cobra Space adventure and above all, Le Captaine Future! When we look at the armor, the helmet, the torso, the weapon, the structure of the spacesuits, etc ... Then it blows up in the eyes that this is a copy / paste or heavily inspired by Captain Future. It's a DNA from that era: if you see an anime / manga with a Galleon / wooden ship, with motors in space, it's 70-90's, 99%. The start of the design turn, or other way of thinking, began around the 1980s and 85s. The period from which Macross, Cobra, etc. appeared. That is to say a key industrial period in Japan, which had launched a hypertechnology / hitech program thanks to the beginnings of more popularized computers. Civil society followed. Then the manga designers too. It is between the years 85 and 90, that the "real spaceships" as we conceive them today, started to appear more often, in Japan. And conversely, that of designing Galleon-shaped spaceships declined, until it disappeared in Manga / Anime. Afterwards, the boat is full of simple techniques, but effective. Like the sails, so as not to show the edges and the tenons (angled technique). Also the walls of the hull of the boat have an angle (identical technique for the cockpit) Technique that I had put here => Technique Angle by Horlack For the generator (machinery), it is full of NPU! It is several times the part N#4345 which is in all the directions: inverted, horizontal, inverted, etc ... with levers. Factory Generator, Part 4345 by Horlack, on Flickr Yes, I am quite proud of my atypical work. Because I don't remember a lego Space creation of this type. I tried to synthesize both the Lego Classic-Space spirit of the 70s and 90s, but also all the manga from the same period based on "technological Galleon". There is a desire to take some old LEGO pieces from the 70s and 90s. Like part N#4737. I always have a desire for playability in the hands of children. A Lego must remain playable for me. It's my mind- 18 replies

[MOC][Futuron] Retro Space Solar Ship
Horlack Bricks replied to Horlack Bricks's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
For the Solar Panels pattern : https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2431pb499 Just stickers on 6x6 Tiles, only. And I pulled my hair out for the engine room ! Details, greebs, NPU and techniques maximum, inside ! I built everything with a view to playability. So I had to compromise. Maybe I could have done prettier, denser, etc ... But that was not my goal. I really wanted a "retro" look like the classic-space lego from the 70's and 90's, and old animes/cartoons. Something childish, on the part of the mind/"spirit", but also evolved on the part of new Lego design methods. All with a form of coherent realism, specific to this time/period/era.- 18 replies

Futuron - Retro Space Solar Ship [Futuron] Retro Space Solar Ship by Horlack, on Flickr ================================== The beginning/Genesis : ================================== At the beginning of September, I re-watched the old animated as X-Bomber at 43 years old ! It was my birthday this month. Don't ask me what went through my mind at the time, I don't know at all! I wanted to go back to childhood, because I have the impression of having aged. I had to straighten "the bar", lol ! Seeing these old Retro solar boats literally “blew my mind”. I never realized that a lot of anime from that era had a "strange spaceship" conception, transforming old 14-18th century ships / galleons with engines for space. Yet it was so obvious! And it was there, that suddenly, I remembered Jayce, Cobra, etc ... In short, I saw all the ships of the anime of that time scroll through my head, like a comet in front of my eyes (which booms crashing into my head). And no one had done this in Lego. At least I don't remember. In itself, the beginning of an idea or impression that smelled good, and / or had potential. It was the very beginning of the inspiration and brainstorming in my head for Lego Classic Space ! ================================== The concept : ================================== I did something unusual, non-conformism, eccentric, disconcerting and crazy at the same time. I make a double combination and double ration, animated 70-90 which it was the fashion of space ships and Lego Space Futurons 87-90. For a good Retro nostalgia I combined elements of the Azuris ship from « Message from space : galactic wars », the Cephalus ship from Star Fleet X-Bomber, Glory of the universe of Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, and the Solaris of the Mysterious cities of Gold ! 2 periods 70-90 in 1! Fashion Geek powa, total ! ================================== Animated Wikipedia source: ================================== https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Message_from_Space:_Galactic_Wars https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Bomber https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jayce_and_the_Wheeled_Warriors https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mysterious_Cities_of_Gold ================================== Youtube animated credits for the nostalgic: ================================== Message from space : galactic wars / San Ku Kai https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3a7kge https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jfzb7kndOH8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ev846CoLg1c Star Fleet X-bomber: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szZisbEQB_Q Jayce and the wheeled warriors : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9K0SzFIf4A The Mysterious Cities of Gold : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enoK-1CW74Y ================================== I took again in inspiration: ================================== - The front and landing feet of Glory of the Universe. - Sails and propulsion reactors of the Cephalus. - The front spur and the hexagonal solar sail at the top of the Solaris mast. - Part of the sails and the structure of the Azuris. ================================== Remarkable elements, NPU, conversion of parts, techniques : ================================== I converted parts #4346 and #4345, in all directions, with levers, for the machinery. Part #44938 bionicle shield, with a "mechanical" aspect converted into an energy capacitor. Various parts of Droids (starwars) converted in the machinery and on the outer deck. Bionicle Shield #45275 converted into deflectors, on the deck of the ship. Kind of like "Viking ship/longship" shields. Big Trident Bionicle #40339 = excellent for large boat emblems in general. I used a slope technique for the sides of the hull. For the rear canopy in the hull, I used a SNOT technique with part #30249. ================================== Physical information : ================================== - 7,082 parts for 854 lots. - 2 weeks of brainstorming, intellectual reflection or "total blank" ...: passive or empty work. - 3 to 4 weeks of active work. - 60.8 studs width, 101.8 studs length, 78.7 studs height. - 48.7 cm width, 81.5 cm length, 63 cm height. - 5.77 Kg. ================================== Global : ================================== All Futuron figures, including the green Lego City minifigure and the lesser known "Educational & Dacta" minifigures. 9 crew members, 3 teams of 3 watch members. ================================== Exterior/outside: ================================== - Solar sails with 3 intermediate lookouts. They can rotate a bit. - Futuron logo, in stickers, on the sails. - 2 radars at the top of the masts. - Long electromagnetic barrel at the front. - 2 small laser cannon turrets at the front. - 2 large turrets at the rear, pulsed radius. - Wings with stabilizers at the end. - 2 small rotating turrets under the wings. - 4 landing feet. - Various elements of machinery on the deck of the Boat. - 8 deflector shields on the sides (Bionicle shield converted). - 2 large propulsion reactors. - Cockpit. ================================== Wheelhouse: ================================== - 1 captain / watch officer seat. - 1 seat Transmission of orders to machines. - 1 navigation control seat. - 1 communication control seat. - 1 alarm control seat. - Walkie-talkies, fans, fire extinguishers, binoculars, cups, etc. ================================== Interior/inside hull of the ship : ================================== - Small storage room at the front, with a ladder to grab onto the deck of the solar ship. - 6 beds with drawers below. - WC / toilet. - Sonic shower. - Kitchen / Cantina: sink, water, oven, cupboards, cups, bottles of food. - Table, bottles of food. - Machine room: control bar, control panel, turbines, fans, transformer, energy condenser, energy pressurizer, cooling circuit, heat transfer fluid, warning lights, ladder to climb to the cockpit, tool kit, tools behind the ladder. - Rear canopy - SAS by energy barrier. ================================== Conclusion: ================================== I built in a perspective of pseudo-realism, pseudo-likely and pseudo-consistency, with compromises with the Retro concept of the animated ones of the years 70-90's. I wanted something playable and fun at the same time. I had a lot of difficulty and trial and error, because I had never done a Lego boat. I worked several times until 4am ! I often work like this: as long as the inspiration is there, I must not lose it, and I work until I no longer see the time passing. But the opposite has also happened to me several times: several times the symptom of the "blank sheet" for 1 to 3 days, without knowing how I was going to build, find inspiration, think about the logic of the construction, etc. . This feeling of "emptiness", that you feel something is happening, and you have it on the tip of your tongue, but it does not come out! Annoying and horrifying sensation ! :) The inclination of the walls gave me intellectual problems. It took a long time to build the engine room. I had to redo it at least 3-4 times. I wanted a maximum of diversity and complexity at the same time. The confined space of the hull gave me difficulties: how to integrate "likely" elements in so little volume ? I have lost my hair several times. Just those damn shower and toilet, I had to spend 3 hours each, to do, undo and redo in all the sauces. Like a little monkey who tests all combinations. Shouldn't bring me a banana at this time, because I think I would have been screwed to make a monkey cry as a bonus .... lol [Futuron] Retro Space Solar Ship by Horlack, on Flickr (Zoom on Flick, picture Full-HD 9216 x 4608 pixels) [Futuron] Retro Space Solar Ship by Horlack, sur Flickr (Zoom on Flick, picture Full-HD 9216 x 6144 pixels) [Futuron] Retro Space Solar Ship by Horlack, sur Flickr (Zoom on Flick, picture Full-HD 9216 x 4608 pixels) Shiptember 2021 [Futuron] Retro Space Solar Ship by Horlack, on Flickr ================================== Source / reference on my project (progression in the time) : ================================== https://forum.brickpirate.net/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=25577 https://www.flickr.com/photos/horlack/albums/72157720062770130 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=HorlackBricks&set=a.495422262040159

Vityaz DT-30 & Vityaz DT-10PM ====================== You'll laugh: for the radar, I was inspired by the French national holiday of July 14 ! Lol :) The July 14 parade inspired me. I have seen large radars crammed with sensors on Griffon, Jaguar and Scorpion vehicles. I spent 2h30 redoing the initial radar ! After several versions, tearing my hair out. I think I finally found my last version (the 3rd radar to the right of the 1st photo). I still built 9 versions, before deciding! The radar from the beginning, the radar v3 (or v4, I don't know any more), and the last one. Spending 2h30 fighting with less than 20 pieces, I didn't think that was possible. - "What did you do with your July 14?" - "I spent 2h30 tearing my hair, with 20 Lego pieces" Welcome to an AFOL ....:) :)

FUTURON - POLARIS EXPRESS Polaris Express par Horlack , sur Flickr Polaris Express par Horlack , sur Flickr Polaris Express par Horlack , sur Flickr Polaris Express par Horlack , sur Flickr Polaris Express par Horlack , sur Flickr Polaris Express par Horlack , sur Flickr Polaris Express par Horlack , sur Flickr Polaris Express de Horlack , sur Flickr Polaris Express by Horlack, on Flickr "Polaris", in reference to the mythical Set 6972 Polaris-I Space Lab, and "Express", in reference to the Trans-Siberian Orient-Express, in relation to a tracked vehicle of the tundra The inspiration comes mainly from the Russian tracked vehicle Vityaz DT-30, and its little brother the Vityaz DT-10PM, particularly adapted to the tundra and the cold. Multifunction vehicle. It can be converted to Cargo, Passenger, Small Vehicles, Oxygen, etc. There are 6 modular blocks of 5x7 studs, which can be unclipped, can be put in the hold, and can be put in the order you want. Include a mixture. The roof can be unclipped. The 2 types of Vityaz DT have many military or civilian variants. Surely one of the most varied vehicles in the world, however crazy it is. Excavator version, passenger / troop transport version, ballistic missile version, freight transport version, radar station version in arctic base, amphibious version, crossing bridge version, forest transport version, tank version (yes yes, with 2 turrets!), Version snowplow, mobile laboratory version, gas / mining version (currently used by Gazprom), etc. We are on a monster which is not far from being 3 to 4 large cars wide depending on the version. I wanted to stay a little in this “multifunction” spirit for the MOC. Custom radar, with lots of sensors. Cockpit, with an articulated twin-arm / view of the seat. Lights on the roof to illuminate everywhere = in the tundra, at night, in the cold, in the blizzard, in a lunar environment, etc ... Also, I focused on the armored aspect, trying to homogenize the 2x2 tile base on the hull. (or close). I made a maximum of modularity, I could not decide on one type or another of vehicle. So I made it simple and complicated at the same time: all types at the same time, lol! It's better :) I could also have made a command vehicle, with lots of consoles and control panels. It is quite possible, thanks to the available space. There is no limit to the imagination when it comes to converting the vehicle. Make a presentable base. Shall we say, a 1st for me. Especially the effect of the caterpillars in the sand, and the Lettering (which I'm not used to). The roof can be unclipped. All with a playable and accessible aspect. (I remain in the mentality / the spirit that a Lego must be playable, solid, playful, modular)

Post-Apocalypse, a small vaccination?
Horlack Bricks replied to Horlack Bricks's topic in Special LEGO Themes
What do you not understand in an MOC, post-apocalyptic in a dystopia, humorous ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dystopiahttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apocalyptic_and_post-apocalyptic_fictionhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyberpunk If all the artists on the planet (and whatever the type of art), had to do something that they really mean, and not, from another angle, then the cultural or artistic aspect would be very poor. So stop, your personal opinions to judge a person out of context, because your nerves are on edge because of the health situation which distorts your reality, your impressions, your psyche and your opinions. And in addition, with a disease and humorous fictitious medication from the lego-world, written in full in my text : hydroalcoolbrick. And with a fictional "crazy" & badwoman girl named Harley Quinn. Here, it's fictitious and humorous lego, in a post-apocalyptic dystopia -
The Antivaxes ravaged the vaccination center. So with great evils, great remedies. Mecha shot vaccination equipped with 4 syringe Gatling guns, huge vaccine reservoir in the back, retention clamps and giant hydroalcoolbrick gel syringe cannons. And for the runaways, we hired Harley Quinn as our chief anesthesiologist ... who won't miss you ! Apocalypse, a small vaccination? by Horlack, sur Flickr And for humor, in the blink of an eye: - Tile 2 x 2 with Groove with Radioactive Man Pattern (71006), from the Simpsons set, with the dripping green slim. Radioactive Man, the superhero, who "heals" all bad guys. - Tile 2 x 4 with Flowers, Brick, 'MAKE LEGO MODELS' and 'NOT WAR' Pattern (Sticker) of the mythical Set 10220-1 Volkswagen T1 Camper Van (VW Bus) A proper reference to the MOC itself: an apocalypse scene in lego, in the Flower Power period. You will go and ask Harley Quinn for the design of Flower Power who will explain, with all his personalized love. xD - The head of droid R5-D4 in the Mecha's kneepad. Because red is good for medic ! Robot yet just as mythical and which nevertheless goes almost unnoticed in the trilogy. He was on Tatooine in the Jawa Sand Chariot along with C-3PO and R2-D2. It was bought by Owen Lars with the protocol droid C-3PO, but malfunctioned moments later. So the farmer took R2-D2 instead. And yes, without him, no R2-D2 What do you mean, a robot that unblocks/malfunctions ? I am perfectly in the theme. lol

[MOC] [Neo-Mtron] - Armored Walker -3 crew members. -1 pilot/engine driver. -1 gunner. -1 mechanic. - Double Railgun at the front. - Laser cannon on the tail (brickbuild). - Radar (brickbuild). I used a lot of wheeled vehicle parts to give that rounded look. - The old mythical part N°3787-Vehicle Mudguar 2x4 with Arch Smooth, which we find in our good old classic-space or City. - Part N°41854-Vehicle Mudguar 2x4 with Flared Wings, which I used in the seat backs and the radar.. - Part N°44674-Vehicle Mudguar 2x4 with Headlights Overhang, which I used in the tail. - Part N°41862-Plate Modified 2x2 with grills, which I used in the tail and the radar. Part that we find more for the radiators of City cars. - Part N°98834-Vehicle, Spoiler 2x4 with Handle, which I used in the legs. - Part N°44675-Slope curved 2x2 No Stud 3 Side Ports Recessed, found in the fronts of City cars. [NCS] Neo-Mtron - Armored Walker by Horlack, on Flickr [NCS] Neo-Mtron - Armored Walker by Horlack, on Flickr The canopies do not exist in these colors. But it is a choice by constraint. None of the canopies, but really none, of those Trans-Yellow or Trans-Neon-Green or Trans-Neon-Yellow colors do well. That is to say, they are too angular with respect to the body which is rounded or has curves. The possible canopies in these 3 colors literally break the physiognomy of the vehicle, to the point that it is "ugly" or disturbing. It literally breaks that general aspect. It's rare that I take pieces in a color that doesn't exist. Example during my design / brainstorming tests in alpha version : => the angular front canopy, is too opposed to the general roundness effect of the vehicle

[NCS] Heavy Mobile Rocket Launcher Do with LDD and Stud.io It's a mix that brings together the sets : - 462 Mobile Rocket Launcher - 483 Alpha-1 Rocket Base - 6881 Lunar Rocket Launcher - 6950 Mobile Rocket Transport at the same time, and bigger ! All these sets look more or less alike, or are just different variations depending on the version. Hence the idea of bringing them all together, in a 4 in 1, mastodon version. I used the 90 ° snot technique with the control consoles in the wall, in order to be able to accommodate as many control panels as possible and gain 2 additional horizontal studs. This allows me to put 4 crew members, their seats and a small passageway (narrowly) for them to move between the seats. The roof with the 2 radars unclips and the front canopy swivels, allowing accessibility. My only regret: not being able to put the 2 sides in blue (the back of the 2 console panels), because part N°11203 (flat Tile, Modified 2 x 2 Inverted) does not exist in this color. I had to settle for gray. I was amazed, myself, to have built it in just 3 days! Upon reflection, I think I understood why I did it in such a short time. I put this down to several things: -1/ I already had the basis of my NCS - City Mars Exploration - Heavy Mobile Lab, which had taken me a good 10 days. In addition to the experience of construction / internal arrangement of the vehicle. -2/ I already had the radar and the rocket, of my [NCS] 462-897- Mobile Rocket Launcher, Remastered, which took me 3-4 days. -3/ I already had the seats of my NCS - Heavy Transport -4/ I already had the wall consoles, from my NCS - Heavy Transport. (at least, retained my reverse construction technique) which had taken a hell of a lot of time, because I had to put a maximum of computer consoles in a minimalist space, and above all, at 90 ° and inverted in relation to the wall! (so damn technical difficulty in tearing your hair). Just for that, I had to spend several days there. -5/ My past experiences, which are almost a hallmark of me: the exterior ofmy ships and vehicles (NCS - Heavy Transporter, NCS - City Mars Exploration - Martian Colonization Base, Intergalactic Girl, NCS LL-6929 Starfleet Voyager, Space Heavy Rover, Lunar Space Pod , NCS - City Mars Exploration - Heavy Mobile Lab, etc) are generally stripped down, but on the other hand, the interior is generally quite shielded in every way. Putting a lot of greeblings, in a confined and minimalist space, it almost became my "hobby". So normally, given the size of the mastodon's vehicle, it should have taken me at least 7-14 days well packed. But since I do all my constructions " in modular ", I can easily transplant parts (or modules) to put them in other constructions. In addition to past construction experiences. This is why I only took 2-3 days and saved a lot of time. The images are in HD + (> 4096 pixels) on my flickr to zoom in on them. On the Shuttle : reactors, engines, jet turbine, cannons, 4 front sensors, radiators, small antenna, 2 horizontal ailerons, 2 vertical ailerons, lifters, steering nozzle, rear computer control panel. Basically, I took a bit of inspiration from the Speeders of the Meta-Universe from Starwars. search keywords for all see : "type = speeders" https://www.starwars-universe.com/encyclopedie/vaisseaux_vehicules.php [NCS] 6842 - Shuttle Craft, Remastered by Horlack, sur Flickr [NCS] 462-897- Mobile Rocket Launcher, Remastered The Mythic 462-897 Mobile Rocket Launcher set was too small, so ... I remastered it in 2020 version. I had some difficulty with the Rocket, because I didn't want to use round bricks. I wanted something more elegant with cool building techniques. So I remade the rocket entirely in brickbuild. Ditto for the radar. In short, a little technical originality. I didn't want to be conventional. I used the elements of my old constructions to keep it homogeneous. The radar cockpit rotates 360°, and the radar itself also rotates, 360°. The radar cockpit is quite worked with control screens everywhere, as well as small joysticks. A walkie-talkie, a hammer and an adjustable wrench hang on it. I retake : - The chassis of my [NCS] 6802-Space Probe Remastered - The radar of my [NCS] 452-894-Mobile Tracking Station, Remastered [NCS] 462-897- Mobile Rocket Launcher, Remastered by Horlack, sur Flickr [NCS] 462-897- Mobile Rocket Launcher, Remastered by Horlack, sur Flickr The goal is to remain homogeneous in the architecture. Which is sometimes not an easy task. All the blocks are interchangeable, between all my creations. It's Modular, on a vehicle scale. Details of the rocket. Use of modified brick, by turning them 45 ° in the central body of the rocket, in order to build it "in hexagon" [NCS] 6901 - Mobile Lab, Remastered Always in the spirit of keeping modules of old constructions to reuse them. Just to swap modules, to make another MOC. Maximum standardization. The forward cockpit contains 2 repair utensils. It opens through doors on the side or through the central canopy. It is a resumption of the cockpit of the "1580 Lunar Scout, Remastered", by adding 2 ladders, and by rotating the roof sensors 180 °. The aft cockpit opens by rotating the canopy, or through the roof by eclipsing the radar. It contains 2 levers and 3 control panels which are in height. The chassis is also a recovery. An excavator entirely made in brickbuild. I did not find any existing parts, adapted to the scale of the vehicle, so a brickbuild is needed :) [NCS] 6901 - Mobile Lab, Remastered by Horlack, sur Flickr [NCS] 6901 - Mobile Lab, Remastered by Horlack, sur Flickr Well, I'm pretty happy with the look. I was worried that with my history of taking modules from other builds, it would result in a lousy mobile lab. Overall, "no". I had to be inventive on the rear 4x6 module block part. Once the seat and the astronaut were installed, I found myself stuck putting screens on him! And worse, not being able to get it out of the cockpit, lol Yeah, that's bad! Even blowing up the radar which is made up of 2 modular blocks, there was really little room. in fact, I had it kinda on my own, absolutely wanting a seat, which made it worse in a minimalist space. My neurons have overheated! Hence the idea of putting a canopy at an angle, from the top, to gain length space to take out the spaceman, but also to put control panels on the ceiling. And in fact, without wanting to, I took again in a different form, the horizontal rear opening of the 2 doors of the original 6901, but in a single vertical one at the rear. [MOC] [NCS] 6802 Space Probe, Remastered Bigger on a Buggy chassis with double probes. The robot deserved a 2020 update. :) - Head 3626bpb0034 : Minifigure, Head Alien with Copper Skin and Silver Eyepiece Pattern - torso 973pb1061 : Torso Robot with Silver Rivets - Arm 62691 : Arm Mechanical [NCS] 6802 - Space Probe Remastered by Horlack, sur Flickr [NCS] 6802 - Space Probe Remastered by Horlack, sur Flickr [NCS] 1580 Lunar Scout Remastered I kept the structures of my old creations, to remain homogeneous, and above all to make it "modular". The goal is to make all of my vehicles modular, and interchange the components between vehicles, to rebuild them as they see fit. Structure of the articulated Mini-arm found in, my [NCS] 6841 - Heavy Mineral Detector, Remastered Structure of the bumpers, which can be found [NCS] 452-894 - Mobile Tracking Station, Remastered I put a mini articulated arm at the back, in addition to the 2 mineral containers. The canopy is not green, because I will take over the cockpit structure for another construction. I couldn't put the chassis as low as the original, but overall I stayed in the "spirit" of the little scout utility vehicle. [NCS] 1580 Lunar Scout Remastered by Horlack, sur Flickr [NCS] 1580 Lunar Scout Remastered by Horlack, sur Flickr [NCS] 6841 - Heavy Mineral Detector Remastered I continue my series. Then added in all directions: Mini-articulated arm at the back, box to store minerals, box to crush minerals and analyze them, communication antenna, walkie-talkies, various small radars / cameras / front detectors at the front of the vehicle, small rock hammer, hand detector (which can be hung on the mini articulated arm) and various control panels. [NCS] 6841 - Heavy Mineral Detector Remastered by Horlack, sur Flickr [NCS] 6841 - Heavy Mineral Detector Remasterised by Horlack, sur Flickr [NCS] 452-894 - Mobile Tracking Station, Remastered Functional quality, of course :). Radar in tow that turns in all directions. The 2 small folding jacks when the trailer is unhooked. (A radar not horizontal, when the trailer tilts, it works much less well!) Radar on the roof of the vehicle which rotates 360 °. I really thoroughly styled this 2nd radar with sensors everywhere and tried to keep "the best spirit" with the 2 round transparent things. Thanks. Lego City Mars Exploration is a very good theme. A lot of possibilities, as : https://www.flickr.com/photos/horlack/50133724458/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/horlack/48267104957/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/horlack/48545099607/- 5 replies

[NCS]-Space city under construction, microscale
Horlack Bricks replied to Horlack Bricks's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Totally agree. The hexagonal part attracted me, but I didn't know what to do with it right away. Then the inspiration came, 24h after It is not false :) -
[NCS]-Space city under construction, microscale I felt inspired. Space city under construction in microscale. It is by doing anything that we become ... uh ....... Afol? :) Let the city under construction, is voluntary. There is 70% empty space. It is to set up the start of spatial colonization. Kind of like a "outpost-city". There are 3 landing strips with gravity generators. A forest in the center, under the dome. LDD and Stud.io. Thank you all, for yours comments :) As you seem to be interested in the drone, here is the construction plan. Everything is axed/focused on part N°48723, Technic, Axle Connector Hub with 4 Bars, which is sandwiched between the 2 Dish 3x3, via the part N°3957, Antenna, which "impale" all NCS-Drone by Horlack, on FlickrThe image in HD size is downloadable.

Thank you all. Now, I do the front half (cockpit, rest / catering room), then finally the base of the airstrip. A small video preview in 3D stud.io, where I am in my work. This may need to change a bit. But let's say, that the main lines of ideas are there. For the airstrip, I think I'll use that kind of concept in medium / dark gray. A lunar thing, with 2-3 craters or mounds, and the trail in the middle. Nothing is defined, I am still thinking about it. SNOT terrain - example by Blake Foster, on Flickr In the meantime I had a little inspiration. I did 3 tests of small drones, which I could perhaps incorporate on the scenery of the airstrip. I made 3 examples to see the possibilities. But it is obvious that we can put what we want: maintenance drone, repair drone, surveillance drone, medical drone, etc ... There are 2 attachment points with the hands, and 2 points rear (sustentators reactors/magnetic reactors). Which leaves some inventive or inspiring possibilities when they come to mind. Attention, a lot of redesign in perspective. ! :) I thoroughly reviewed the cargo / disembarkation hold. I maximized the details. I also reviewed the vehicles in the hold, to diversify them. NCS - Heavy Transport by Horlack, onFlickr NCS - Heavy Transport by Horlack, on Flickr The right and left walls of the cargo hold: - Fans / ventilation - 4 Various fire extinguishers - Talkie Walkie - Repair tools - Communication station - Various pressure gauges - Aspirators for air or other gases - Electricity light and pressure / control panels - Yellow bands indicating danger / risk - Valve - Some piping - Articulated arm with control panel - Load calculator - Removable blue seat (it folds into the wall. It doesn't show like that) - 3 emergency airtanks. - Safety levers (blocking or manual opening of the hold in the event of an electrical problem) - 2 maintenance robots NCS - Heavy Transport by Horlack, sur Flickr NCS - Heavy Transport by Horlack, sur Flickr NCS - Heavy Transport by Horlack, sur Flickr The 4 vehicles: [*] - The Space Scooter, great standard of Classic Space [*] - The Space Buggy, a little different, and standard of the Classic Space [*] - A Heavy Space Buggy with: [*] - Mini communication dish [*] - Camera [*] - Front sensors [*] - Red tool kit between the 2 seats [*] - 2 Control / data information panels [*] - 2 seats-brick build [*] - Articulated arm at the rear [*] - 2 hand sensor tools [*] - 1 container to put rocks [*] - 1 Talkie walkie [*] - Control panel of the articulated arm [*] - Articulated arm load calculator [*] - Articulated arm pressure judge [*] - 2 fire extinguishers [*] - 1 small repair tool between the arm and the extinguishers [*] - The Space Buggy with its trailer composed of: [*] - 2 airtanks [*] - 2 bags [*] - 1 camera [*] - 1 pair of binoculars [*] - 2 hand sensor tools [*] - 1 dorsal reactor (it is difficult to see itself, because between the airtanks and the bags, and the antennas folded up) [*] - 1 black backpack (inlaid between the 2 gray bags, and slightly offset below) It's okay, I think I'm ready for Lunar exploration ! :) A good big week of thinking and working in 3D. That's the problem: the smaller it is to work, the less space there is, the more you have to think about, the more complicated it is, the more time it takes to pull out some hair. (but I still have a few left, lol: :)

Not a coincidence. I took over my old creations :) You have a good memory and a good eye. It's Yoko Tsuno https://www.flickr.com/photos/horlack/albums/72157688992663906 And indeed, the reference is voluntary, but not many people have seen or found it (you and another). The pointed front of the Transporter is very reminiscent of the Vineans ships ;) The reference to the pointed front and to the 4 reactors, becomes clearer, with these 4 pictures.
