DaleDVM Thanks for the great ideas! I really like that round tower, it looks textured without having too many gaps. Brilliant. And that roof! OMGoodness, that is exactly what I would want to use. I would never have considered using that part for that purpose, let alone any purpose.

As far as I know, you can't franchise a Lego store. I believe Lego owns every one of its stores. Like others have said, you can try to sell just Lego at your own toy store, but I wouldn't see you doing very good business. Especially if someone can go to Wal-Mart and the like and pick up other things plus the Lego product at a good price. Good luck though. I know as a kid I would have loved to walk into a store that only sold Lego (I'm from the middle of the country and had to drive 2 hours to a mall).

That will be interesting to see! I really like these Mini-Modulars for some reason. I have never been into Modulars before, but seeing this in mini form, I kind of want to start building everything in mini. These are a great likeness to their larger counterparts, especially when you think about the scale and what pieces they had to work with. I become VIP just for this set actually...is that weird?

I am not from Australia. I have never visited this iconic building. When I first saw the pictures I thought it looked terrible. Nowhere near how it should look. After looking at the picture LT put up, I actually can visualize what Lego was doing. I actually kind of like it now. I still won't buy it, but it isn't as bad as I was thinking it was originally.

Just give it your all with the details you find appropriate. We all know TLG isn't going to have super detailed sets, so their creation and your creation will be completely different. Thus, the joy of MOCing. Plenty of people have MOCs, even though there are official versions that are similar. Keep your head up. I think yours will look great.

Even if he looks nothing like a generic rohirrim, you could create your own elite faction then. Either this will have a great army building aspect and people will use that soldier for that faction, or there will be multiples of a "unique" soldier and they will be plentiful on Bricklink. Either way, someone wins. They either have a huge army, or a cheap way to get that exclusive figure.
