  1. Creative city. It looks very alive! Keep up the good work.
  2. I've only ordered from S@H twice and dealt with customer service once. Each time was successful and well controlled. No issues. The boxes have been well packed with nothing missing. Maybe I've just been lucky? From what I have heard about those seasonal sets was how quickly they sold out. So it would make sense if they canceled the order they would put everything back into their warehouse and when you reordered them they would re-choose the sets to place in the box. The fact that the seasonal item wasn't included the second time around was because they wouldn't have had any left to place in the box. More than likely, it being a warehouse, they only go off of what it says on a paper form or computer screen. I highly doubt they would have someone specifically go down there and set aside a promo item for one particular order. The people handling the order wouldn't even be packing them, so they wouldn't be the wiser. I do agree that customer service should have been better regarding the issue, but I can understand TLC's point of view also as a business. I do like how Amazon's check out works regarding addresses. It immediately prevents the order and shows you if certain items cannot be sent to certain addresses. So you change it immediately. I've tried having things sent to my parent's PO Box multiple times only to have them say they need a physical address. But they did say they needed it right away before the order was placed, so it makes more sense to me. That is another reason why I'm glad I don't have a PO Box. Everything gets sent to the main physical address. I always hated having to worry about which address to put on things when I lived at home with my parents. And Amazon does have a lot cheaper prices on most things, so we've ordered most things from there too. But we considered ordering from S@H more for the VIP points. But shipping is ridiculous! Especially when other sites offer free shipping on orders over a certain value. Good luck with getting your issue sorted out. Keep us posted.
  3. Thanks for setting this up. It will be neat to see everything that happened in 2011. It was a huge year for Lego (for me at least) and I didn't join EB until halfway through the year, so there is a lot I missed. Can't wait to read more. And let's make 2012 even better!
  4. I'm fairly new to the CMF game, so I don't have most of them. Although, I do have several Elves already (expensive aftermarket purchases), so I don't know if this will be worthwhile for me or not. That was the main figure I wanted, and now they are coming out with Lord of the Rings, so I don't know how special this CMF will be to me. I do agree some of the other figures would have been much, much better and more collectible. But if they don't make them anymore, then can't really help us fans out. I still want a Spartan and Zombie, so I will have to pay more of those pesky aftermarket prices. Is that photo of the actual minifigures or is that just showing the ones that are included. so before they are released to purchase they will show the actual uniquely colored elements?
  5. Thanks for the review. It is another interesting take on things. I really like the MOC sewing machine. Very clever. I may have to borrow that idea for the Mrs. These sets do have some interesting pieces for sure. I am seriously considering this set now after reading a few different reviews. Keep up the good reviews. I'll keep reading them.
  6. I've never seen that "castaway" minifigure before. But thanks to Bricklink, I found him. I'd say he is towards the top for me surprisingly.
  7. I was going to say it looked very classic castle with how it was set up. Interesting that others had the same idea. Lots of foliage looks good at times, but not everywhere is overgrown and superbly green. There are fields without lots of foliage. I would recommend making the transition of different levels a little better with different bricks, but all in all a very good MOC. Good addition to the BURPs with the other pieces. Helps blend them a little. Keep up the MOCs.
  8. Very interesting MOC. I, too, like the roof very much. The roof and window caught my eye the most. Keep up the good work.
  9. Very creative MOCs. I loved that game when it first came out. I played it non stop and got 100% achievement on 360. Seeing it in Lego form is very interesting and exciting. I love the character and weaponry of Altair. It'd be neat to see something similar in future sets. We could use a new white hood that looks like a beak. Keep up the good work.
  10. Oh they will be. Don't you worry about it. They need to make their money back on these licenses.
  11. They already have a trailer out.
  12. So wait, you're telling me there are no flick-fire missiles in this joust set? I like how the build looks and I'm sure it will be fun. I don't know if I can bring myself to buy it right away with only a few new pieces. Not when there is other stuff on my plate. But that new Falcon is cool.
  13. Nice MOC of the Bus. Very dominating appearance. I actually like the latest version of the Bus, maybe I'm one of the few. But I like your rendition as well. It looks very roomy on the inside. Keep up the good HP MOCs.
  14. That's why I don't shop at TRU. I've never had a good experience there. I've seen cheaper and better sales at other stores without the markup than they have. Plus, with S@H, you could incorporate the shipping as the "TRU markup" and receive VIP points for future free lego!
  15. Thanks for the review. I am really excited for this set. This set is actually inspiring me to build more things in the miniscale style. I have a huge lego room, but I don't want to fill it all up with full-scale modulars plus castle and pirate sets, so this will help maintain more space for other sets I think are more important. I wouldn't buy this just for the parts, but I will definitely buy this to have in my collection. I only own one of the full size modulars, and I think this will be a better value for me personally compared to owning all the other sets. Keep up the reviews. I'll keep reading them.
  16. Thanks for the informative review. I definitely want a lot of these sets and I was torn on this one. That car would look great in the city scene, even with this color (but better in a different color of course). After seeing more reviews, I want more of these sets. I don't particularly care about the minidolls, but the sets are adding a lot of good pieces for us minifigure lovers. Keep up the reviews. We'll keep reading them.
  17. Very beautiful build! I love that style of architecture, especially in lego form. It is the only reason I even want the Fire Temple, which I may just piece out to build the building and forget about the rest. Keep up the great work!
  18. Nicker Thanks for the pictures of the box. I really like that box art. I'm still torn on purchasing the set because of all the good points other people have made so far. Nice little blog you have there too. Nice collection of the ladies. I should see how many I have.
  19. This is ridiculously awesome. I would picture the Batcave looking exactly like this. The escape drawbridge is perfection and well hidden. I could see ol' Bats getting some work done here, compared to the newly released version. From what I can tell, the old series was significantly better. And yours is significantly better than that, so there ya go. Can't wait to see the rest. Keep up the great builds.
  20. This is great. A really clever build. The car is perfection. And the brick built figures show great resemblance. Keep up the good builds.
  21. Love the entire street scene. I think I saw this a while ago, but never the final product! So much detail. And so many bricks!! Keep up the great builds. You keep building them, I'll keep looking at them.
  22. This is a beautiful B&B. I love the detail, especially the stone work. I may have to borrow that sometime. It looks very much texturized. The snowy details work well too. And then, the fact you can access everything on the inside helps bunches for playability. Keep up the great builds.
  23. I think Andrea should be the spokesmodel for Weight Watchers with those new pants! I like the idea of having a saddle for the new horses, and I like the size of the horse overall since horses do come in different sizes hehe.. But it is a bit "cute" for a serious war machine. Great customs! Keep up the good work!
  24. I agree it is rather large, but I think it is a very clever use of those pieces. I am really impressed by this set. I have not been into the modulars at all, but I am definitely getting this set! It actually inspired me to build everything in mini-modular style. Whoo-hoo! Knight status with this post!
  25. I am really liking Mezmo, especially his weapons. I'm not into spinning, but that figure looks cool enough I may have to start.
