  1. Echoing the knight/pirate hybrid idea for the Kraken faction, it's such a cool looking design as well. When I look at the Griffin, Crow, and Bull, I see Lion/Dragon, Black Falcon, and we already have Cedric the Bull (though he needs a comeback). But, I'd love a Kraken Knight CMF figure or small set if it doesn't win.
  2. That wasn't meant to be a jab (and definitely not specifically directed at you), just being honest about the situation. At least you have a Deadpool, it could be worse.
  3. That makes more sense on paper, but Taz is Flash because of the Funko series we got a while back. Tina should be Star Sapphire Foghorn Leghorn should be who? Shazam? "Shazam! I say, I say, SHAZAM!!!" Lukewarm take, I'm actually happy Batgirl got cancelled. Especially considering how other DCEU projects have gone (*coughFlashcough*). The whole movieverse was a mishandling of the franchise. Also, I need a source for that good test score, because I heard the first screenings didn't go so well.
  4. This is typical, yes. Unlike another thread I could mention (), we're pretty good at staying on track here. Meaning that if there's nothing new/relevant, there's nothing to discuss. But these figure leaks are pretty new, so at least there's buzz. Maybe we'll get a sneak peek at Jedi Bob soon.
  5. I am the total opposite, really hope we get remasters of the figures from the old Blackbird set (with new hair for Storm). Never really liked "bald" Cyclops until I started reading the old Claremont run. Now it's probably my favorite outfit. Brown suit Wolverine would also be really fresh, we've had like 3 of the Tiger stripes in the last two years. Now Marvel Girl Jean Grey is a hard pass for me, Jim Lee or bust . Would love a regular release Phoenix, but that's probably not happening. Magneto better not be wearing that ugly-as-sin suit... If Cyke is a repeat, he needs boots. Also, Beast and Storm will be new off the strength that CMFs never get released in normal sets.
  6. Because they actually are stupid! Superrabbit, Wonder Bunny, Batcat, Tasmanian Flash, Green Loontern, Cypork, and The Martian would be an absolute unit! Way better than any so called "Justice League".
  7. I mean, fricking Blade! The only thing worth getting revealed now is the exact figure selection plus outfit selections.
  8. IIRC, that is the Arkham Knight batsuit (the gold belt is a dead giveaway). Asylum and City are more set friendly anyway, and most of the villain designs from Knight (sans Crane and Todd) work for the other games too. Still waiting on my LB3/AA Killer Croc. Basically the same reason Halo's OT got M ratings, scare factor.
  9. There are plenty of things Lego could have done already, but they haven't. That's not a rebuttal. Again, if anyone here wants an official Lego Deadpool, cough up the $20-$40 he costs on Bricklink, as there's no guarantee he'll see a rerelease, but I think Deadpool as a character holds broader mainstream popularity than just his films. He has always been a fan-favorite, even among kids. Also, not saying that Lego views things this way, but a lot less parents care about the R-rated thing now than in years past. This could be anecdotal on my part, and I'm not arguing that means Lego will make Deadpool, just putting it out there that the R-rating might not cross some parents' minds (and of course, everyone is different). Me personally, I don't even like Deadpool all that much, so I couldn't care less if he gets remade, but Lego has been known to find loopholes around their morals. In summary: Deadpool's on Bricklink, go buy him.
  10. We have a Deadpool figure from 2012. So there is mainline precedent. Remember the R Rated Suicide Squad from 2016? We got several figures loosely related to said film (Katana, Killer Croc, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot) in 2016, and one that is undeniably inspired during the Lego Movie 2 sets (Apocalypseburg Harley Quinn is clearly based off the Margot Robbie version). Deadpool is popular enough that Lego can find ways to make him. Now, I personally say just open your wallets for the 2012 figure, painfully pricey as it is, because you're right in that the chance of a re-release is slim, but never zero. Also, we have tons of mass murderers (every villain ever), rapists (TLBM's Tarantula, Talia al Ghul), and worse throughout Lego's history. Deadpool just says naughty words (and kills people, but who doesn't ). Again, unlikely, I can give you that. But not impossible.
  11. Only Arkham Knight was M rated, the others were T. And AK wasn't even that much more violent or swearing-filled, it was just because of Scarecrow's ugly mug.
  12. Black Mask Bank Heist ($59.99): Includes a batmobile. Batman, Black Bat, Black Mask, Security Guard, Henchman. Batman: Outsiders Assemble ($49.99): Batwing build. Batman, Black Lightning, Geo-Force, Halo, Baron Bedlam The Riddler's Labyrinth ($89.99) Playset with numerous puzzles and traps laid throughout. Includes a hidden observation room for Batman to find. Batman, Robin, Spoiler, The Riddler, Cluemaster. Titans: The Brotherhood of Evil Attacks ($109.99): Sci-Fi tank, motorcycle for Nightwing, some ruined street corners. The Brain, Monsieur Mallah, Madame Rouge, Phobia, Nightwing, Kid Flash, Raven, Beast Boy (Red and White). Hall of Justice ($159.99): System scale primer before a proper D2C. Batman (Grey and Blue), Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Black Canary (JLI), Fire, Ice, Doctor Light (Kimiyo Hoshi), Shazam, Vixen, Rocket Red. Legion of Doom Headquarters ($199.99): Vandal Savage, Cheetah, Metallo, Mirror Master, Bane, Ma'alefa'ak, Star Sapphire, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Batman, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern. Task Force X ($19.99): Suped-up Willy's Jeep. Rick Flag, Multiplex, Plastique, Nightshade. More of a general wishlist than actual set ideas, but I'd love to see a series of Teen Titans/Titans sets like the 2012-2016 Batman sets, with Nightwing serving as the central character instead of Batman. Heroes included would be both younger and older versions of the following: Wonder Girl, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Speedy, as well as Starfire, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Omen, Bumblebee, Guardian, Argent, Jericho, Ravager, Both Hawks and both Doves, Static, Miss Martian, Bombshell, as well as the original Young Justice team (Tim/Conner/Cassie/Bart). Villains would include Deathstroke, Terra, the Brotherhood of Evil, H.I.V.E., Fearsome Five, Trigon, and more. Also bring back the Justice League style waves like in 2015 and 2018. Expand the JLA's roster, and include even more obscure villains from across DC canon. And as alluded to in the list: finish the teams, Lego: Justice League International, The Outsiders, the Teen Titans, The Suicide Squad.
  13. He should have been given blue lenses, but it is what it is. Hopefully he gets a white hilt at least.
  14. @ArrowBricks I agree with most of what you said, but I will say to point 8, I've never been a fan of gimmicks in toys, even as a kid. It felt too restrictive. I, too, tended to prefer more straight forward "realistic" designs, over something that had a ton of play features, as I never used said features. 3. Stale is a word that comes to mind. Part of what made LSW exciting back in the day was the feeling that almost anything could be released next. Now, it's the same old boring-A cycle. And worse, the figure selections seem even more uninspired. Part of that is Disney's fault as a licensor, but if Hasbro can go ham with The Black Series, surely Lego can figure something out. 6. This really grinds my gears because Lego has definitely taken steps backwards in this regard: the 2014-2016 Hoth Rebel Trooper and Snowspeeder Pilot minifigures compared to more recent releases. It's one thing if they never "got it right" so to speak, but to pay attention to detail just to change due to cost-cutting laziness is mind-boggling. I feel the same way about the new clone trooper and stormtrooper designs. 2014's designs were perfect, but nope, got to change just because. @icm Point 4: I have to call cap on that, Christmas money, aka money kids received for Christmas, is prime for spending on the January 1st Lego releases. Not saying we need $80+ sets in the winter wave, but these 2 and 3 system set waves ain't cutting it. Besides, if Christmas burnout was a real concern, just release in December. I just want the old style winter waves to return: 2 battle packs, a $20, $30, $50, and $60 set, plus maybe the occasional oddity (midi-scale, microfighter, etc)
  15. In addition to @RedHoodPug, there was a part during the Sinestro Corps (IIRC), where a yellow ring attempts to recruit Batman. He defiantly tears it off and rejects the offer to join the Sinestro Corps. The ring flies off to find Scarecrow instead.
  16. Some classic "just for fun" Lego DC ideas: Justice League Wave: Battle Across Time ($119.99): Batman (Medieval Armor), Shining Knight, Vigilante, Morgaine le Fey, Chronos. Dark castle build. Green Lantern: Attack of Doctor Polaris ($69.99): Submarine w/missiles that Dr. Polaris is attempting to steal. Hal Jordan, Aquaman, Doctor Polaris, Sonar, CADMUS Sailor Metropolis Mech Battle ($29.99): Buildable S.T.R.I.P.E. and Lex Luthor mechs. Superman, STRIPE, Lex Luthor, Metallo. Flying Bug Battle ($39.99): Batman (Grey & Blue w/jetpack), Blue Beetle (Ted Kord), Firefly (Beetle Wings). Blue Beetle's Bug. Javelin Strike Fighter ($59.99): Wonder Woman, Vixen, Red Tornado, Booster Gold, Ares CADMUS Lab Attack ($49.99): Amanda Waller, Captain Atom, Superman, Parasite. The Flash: Return of Professor Zoom ($29.99): The Flash (Wally West), Reverse Flash, Kyle Rayner. Some kind of Green Lantern vehicle (not another jet), sidewalk with speedlines for both speedsters. D2C: Titans Tower ($399.99): Rebirth version. Nightwing, Troia, Tempest, Omen, Arsenal, Flash (Wally West, 1st Rebirth costume), Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, Bumblebee, Guardian, and Cyborg all in their Rebirth Costumes, Psimon, Shimmer, Mammoth, Jinx, Gizmo, Cheshire, Abra Kadabra, Deathstroke, Doctor Light. Includes green animal molds of the following: Tiger, Gorilla, Eagle, Atrociraptor.
  17. @Agent Kallus Long Halloween is awesome, so is The Dark Knight Returns two-parter. Doom that came to Gotham and Soul of the Dragon are pretty meh in my opinion, but your mileage may vary. Though SotD does start like a Bond movie, so there's at least that. @CloneCommando99 My glorious 10 (heroes only) 1. Hal Jordan 2. Bruce Wayne 3. Barry Allen 4. Cassandra Cain 5. Jessica Cruz 6. Wally West 7. Dick Grayson 8. John Stewart 9. Kal-El 10. Michael Jon Carter Honorable mentions go to the GOAT Vic Sage and the Red Tornado.
  18. Don't remind me... So, literally the Spice from Dune...
  19. I mean, the ISB mostly wear white anyway Awesome display, btw! I need to look into something like that.
  20. Brainiac for one. I would love to see a slow build up to Brainiac, using his intelligence to string together multiple other plot threads, before his big reveal. I wouldn't mind Maxwell Lord, Brother Eye, and the OMACs getting center stage. I never want another flashpoint ever again. Once was enough. The way I would structure it goes: Brainiac Saga, OMAC Protocol, Sinestro Corps War/Blackest Night. But then again, I'd pretty much do only Justice League and Titans films, covering a major threat each film, DCAMU style. Blackest Night is an Endgame level event. If we want the DCMU to last, we have to leave it until we're ready to pull the plug. And while the Crisis Sagas are also amazing, no more multiverses for a while. It's becoming nauseating.
  21. RWBY has entered the chat. Also, there's literally a superhero called Man. I'd argue he's even better than Batman. Can't wait for Lego Man sets next year. Maybe we'll even get an official Aslume! Featuring all this threads greatest moments. August seems to be a preferred release date for NA in general, that way Europe gets first crack at the summer waves in June. It varies year-to-year, theme-by-theme, but that's not uncommon. Early release Batmobile.
  22. Circle of Twelve customs, anybody? Glad Thrawn is getting his proper due, probably won't get the set, will brace for Bricklink prices though.
