  1. Facts. I only really care about the TIE Interceptor, personally (my favorite of the TIE variants). Padme: New helmet print right? Personal favorite figure so far is between Bo-Katan and Pilot Luke. Don't see many figures topping them (No, not even Rex)
  2. Seems quite sad that the best Mando S3 set is also the one of least consequence. Should've just made a 40th anniversary TIE Interceptor and call it a day.
  3. Season 6, the Banking Clan Arc. The episode with Commander Thorn.
  4. Facts. What gets released is a mixture of relevance and haphazardness. Sets and figures that should get made often don't, and weird niche designs do get released. Necessary redesigns get ignored in favor of the trillionth X-Wing. The UCS series is one of the strongest sub-themes Lego has ever created, and now that the OT options are closing out, they'll begin to experiment and branch out. If that so happens to coincide with a system scale release, that's just a coincidence. Patterns left after the "remake every 5 years" was killed (due to Disney and the new movies). For those of you confused by what I'm talking about, prior to 2014, iconic vehicles were often remade approximately once every five years: Once Disney's influx of new content happened, understandably this system vanished. Now whatever we get, we get whenever.
  5. Top cannons being rectangular and not properly conical is what blew me off. Not a major gripe, but it is noticeable.
  6. At first I was like "Great, another $650 set or higher", but after thinking about it, it could be achieved for about $300-$400. But, we'll probably see a starfighter first, tbh.
  7. Ask and you shall recieve! http://501st Niner Squad by Kordel Pender, on Flickr From L-R: Lieutenant CT-2705 "Tag", Corporal CT-4494 "Tundra", CT-3200 "Quill", CT-5518 "Marx", CT-8843 "Sandbag", Sergeant CT-777 "Ace", and Medic CT-5791 "Levi".
  8. So far in 2023, I've bought 2 of the recent 501st Specialists Battle Pack, the AT-TE, Mando's N1, and today I finally picked up the 2021 X-Wing. With the 501st packs, I was finally able to make my OC 501st squad using just using slight variations of the default figures. I love the AT-TE and company, and I wish Mando's N1 was better designed to incorporate an astromech droid (so far I'm holding off on buying an R5-D4 figure). Never had a LEGO X-Wing until today and I love it! The cannons on the 2012 version are better imo, but this one is perfect (and Walmart sells it for $40, so extra bonus! ).
  9. Bruh. Maybe that'll be in wave 2.
  10. @Hhalcyon Okay, I'll admit, I never realized that was a thing, so I get it now. I'll grant you the AT-ST Raider, but in the same way Captain Rex's AT-TE is part of that family. No, the First Order Abomination-ST does not count. It doesn't even have a head, enough said. But I thought the Raider had been well retired by the time the Hoth one released. I could be wrong. Basically, 2007, 2009, 2016, 2019, 2022. I'd say get the Rogue One version, honestly. I doubt they'll be in a hurry to release a Jedi version anytime soon. If the difference doesn't bother you, then get the Hoth one. ROTJ gets the fewest sets out of the OT, and vehicles that should be Jedi sets often aren't (see TIE Interceptor and said AT-ST).
  11. @Hhalcyon Serious question: what besides the figure selection makes the AT-ST a Hoth variant? IMHO, it's fine as either. I even have the 4+ AT-ST Driver in mine. Doubt we'll get another one in 2024. Last one we got prior to last year was 2016. (That business on Canto Bight doesn't count ) Agreed. Hopefully we get a re-release before too long. 13. I'm down with this list. Adi Galia, Commander Neyo, 2x 91st Troopers (Regular Troops)
  14. I think you're both right about the color scheme, more of a Royal Blue color if anything. But I have hope for them, eventually. As to the Yavin figures, I know the boots already exist, just would be nice if Lego was consistent in giving us dual-molded legs. (They're always in the minifig towers at Lego stores for crying out loud).
  15. Adn each of those species already had live action counterparts upon which the animation was based. Lucasfilm just got lazy (Shaak Ti, Cantina Duros, and Tion Medon). Removing Eighth Brother's noticeable feet would be just that: laziness. Could he have survived? Sure. Is this him? Most certainly not. And if we do get them, they won't have the proper boots (Navy/White). Speaking of, @Classic_Spaceman, is it possible to find out if any LBG/Black legs are in the Yavin set? I doubt the Pilots will () but the Fleet Troopers might.
  16. That is actually genius. More New Republic figures the better. (Just give us those goshdarn Fleet Troopers already)
  17. Understood, we are quite a passionate fanbase.
  18. I wonder if we'll get another Jedi Adventures set with the missing characters. Yay, another Star Wars subtheme!
  19. Neither are the Mandos from the last battlepack, yet most people got a few of those. He's a blue mando, he's cool. There are tons of blue Mandos two of this guy can't hurt (mix-n-match him with a spare Death Watch or something) I agree with this. No one is expecting people to buy tons of Gunships, but the color scheme is irrelevant. That's fair. Army builders are meant to bolster your standard troops, so it's only reasonable to expect more of them in such a set.
  20. It's just a red gunship, it's literally not that deep, bro. Difference between a white gunship with red stripes and a red one with white stripes? Color inversion. Nice way to sidestep the fact that someone out there is open to buying multiple Coruscanti gunships. Also you have literally nothing other your own bias to make the argument that only 30 people on Earth own 20 Gunships, which makes your argument lose credibility. I made a hypothetical argument that simply provides context for someone wanting multiple gunships of a distinct variant. Most people won't buy multiples of any Gunship, so complaining about this particular Gunship is absurd, end of story. And snickers are amazing, what are you talking about? Where do you get these numbers? And how does the strength of a fictional military relate to the size of a Lego army? It doesn't matter! We never see 501st specific gunships in the entire series, and that's a popular MOC variant. We never see any legion variants in the series (aside from Plo's Bros) so what's your point? It's a Gunship, it's gonna look cool, some will buy only one, others will buy two, some will buy more. Why are we arguing over this? 1. I know that, it's still a single set being bought multiple times, regardless of who buys it. 2. I literally said that every X-Wing before 2021 had this feature. It was clearly a selling point in the past. Just because it didn't happen the one time doesn't erase all the times it was a marketing strategy. Marketing strategy is like a playbook: multiple tactics for various scenarios. There is no one marketing tactic that a company uses. Sometimes multiple marketing strategies can be used at once (desirable ship + ability to sell two or desirable figure lineup + desirable ship - likelihood to buy 2 (AKA 2021 X-Wing). And besides, it's counterpart set only came with generic figures (TIE Fighters are meant to be army built, everyone knows that. Yes, even Solo's) I simply gave Lego an out for not giving us him, there's no need to argue about it. Let's just agree that both opinions have validity. Most people don't army build, those that do will appreciate a nice new generic Mando, and concept art leads to set inaccuracies. If we get Bo-Katan's Season 2 entourage, we still have options for them, so not coming with the Fang Fighter is not the end of the world. Nobody said that. I loved the Jedi and Clone Troopers battle pack from 2018, extra Jedi torsos, Mirialan heads, that new skirt piece? Mace Windu's clone armor gauntlets, his purple lightsaber, new reddish brown faceprint? Even named characters have lots to offer en masse. Having generic troops just makes it easier to buy said set multiple times. So then it being a Coruscant Guard Gunship shouldn't really matter then, should it? 1 out of 4 Gunship sets has been a distinct variant, that's really good odds. Also if someone is buying 1 gunship per each year, wouldn't they still have like 10 by now? I know the 2008 Gunship sold like hotcakes, a lot of clone army collectors had like a dozen by the time 2013 rolled around. It's not totally unheard of, but admittedly unlikely.
  21. Because it's not unique. The Muunlist 10 "Sharktooth" Gunship is unique. The "Crumb Bomber" is unique. A red gunship is just a variant. If someone who's been army building for years already has 20 regular LAAT/is, of course they'll buy 2 of a variant Gunship. I think you guys are stressing out way too hard over a little red plating. "less likely" is not "will not". Reddit and Eurobricks, while quite large communities, are not indicative of LSW Fandom as a whole. Of course not everyone will buy 2-4 Gunships (regardless of design), but someone will. How else are the clones gonna end up on bricklink? Someone has to go out and buy multiples. Also none of this relates to my original point about a certain Mandalorian not in the fighter duel. Of course it's not Lego's primary marketing strategy, but they're not stupid. They know people buy multiples of sets, especially in the Star Wars community. Every X-Wing prior to 2021 had switchable pates for the other Red Squadron member. I'd say they're encouraging people to get two. Gunship (maybe 2 just to spite y'all ), T6 Shuttle, Yavin IV, UCS Venator (at some point). Maybe that New Republic fighter two-pack, depending on what and who it contains. I will probably buy the swamp speeder too, despite waiting on the 327th since 2014 (I would buy so many 327th Battle Packs...oh so, so many...), but I'm sure I'll find a use for the 332nd. If Yoda's starfighter is the Battlefront II Eta-2, then I'll buy it, if it's the canon one, I won't. It's really looking like a good summer wave, all thing considered.
  22. People bought multiples of the 2013 Gunship, which had no standard troops, so that argument is invalid. Also, yes only the most hardcore fans (like myself) remember the Coruscant Gunship. This doesn't make it any less desirable to army builders. Trust me, army builders will, in fact, get more than one.
  23. Fair, but also look at the latest TIE Fighter, the TX-130, arguably the AT-TE and so on. One named character, multiple generic ones. So if one did decide to buy multiples, they aren't "stuck" with a ton of one specific character (also, Mando is at this point very generic, as he's in almost every set in the sub-theme). And let's be honest: even the Coruscant Guard Gunship can be bought multiple times over (it does serve the galactic capital, after all). In its own debut, they featured at least a dozen of them.
  24. So about that TIE Interceptor set...
  25. Damn that Luke Skywalker fig is absolute fire! Now I want boots on all my Rebel pilots going forward. I might not get the X-Wing, but that Luke...
