LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
ARC2149Nova replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Darth Binks is quite mid, honestly expected since I disliked how he looked in the trailer, but now it's confirmed. Dark-3PO is strange. The black arm is very out of place, but I do like the red eyes. Part of me thinks we should've just had regular gold C-3PO but with the new eyes. After all, an all Black-3PO would essentially be a new droid. -
Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
ARC2149Nova replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hol' up, let him cook... Keeli, Scuba Troops, and Cold Assault Troopers have been on my wishlist for years! I also love the Legends sets. This also reminded me of the absolutely brainless decision to release the Black Ace TIE over a freakin' Fireball. No wonder the sets sold poorly. (Even though I've grown to appreciate the TIE Ace, but still). -

Without venturing too far into this debate... everything you just said is straight facts. I honestly couldn't care less about any new Star Wars media, Skeleton Crew seems like it'll be a waste of time, the Acolyte has been cracking apart since it's announcement, and the only thing that may be worth watching (Andor 2) isn't coming out until 2025 (or later). Not to mention things like Tales, who focused on two characters, one of whom they waited far too long for anyone to care, and another who was never that interesting to begin with. And neither of them really had anything to do with The Empire. The Dark Side, sure, but the Empire is far more than just Inquisitors and collaborators. I'm not the only person who feels this way, whether I'm in the super minority or a silent majority, there is an undeniable increase in apathy towards Star Wars content, hence why Lego is hedging its bets on things with more certain return, or a project that seems to have less negative energy around it (Skeleton Crew), I doubt we'll be seeing anymore Obi-Wan sets, for instance. Ahsoka and Mando S3, despite their flaws, held enough of their audience to warrant a second wave of sets (or in Mando's case, several waves of sets). -
While technically correct, their most popular affiliations have all been members of other teams, Jay has always been primarily JSA, Bee has been primarily a Titan, Jaime goes back and forth a lot, so does Mister Miracle. In addition, Stargirl is primarily JSA, and Metamorpho, while also an occasional Leaguer, is primarily a member of the Outsiders (themselves a splinter faction of the JLA, I'll admit). Regarding the LoSH...Lego, at least give us Saturn Girl. Like come on!

Only counting the regular DC Superheroes theme, and only actual sets, because polybags and figures will start to get ridiculous. Also going to pick my favorite set of each year, so as to be balanced: - Superman vs Power Armor Lex (2012) - Aquaman on Ice (2013) I really liked this set as a kid - The Riddler Chase (2014) still my favorite Batmobile. - Darkseid Invasion (2015) - Gotham City Cycle Chase (2016) - Knightcrawler Tunnel Attack (2017) - Black Manta Strike (2018) - Batwing and The Riddler Heist (2019) - 1989 Batwing (2020) - Scarecrow Showdown (2021) - Batman and Selina Kyle Motorcycle Pursuit (2022) - Batcave: Shadow Box (2023) - Gotham City (2024) Thanks! I grew up with the 1966 show, never got that Batcave, though. Maybe someday, but that's a really good Robin figure.

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
ARC2149Nova replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I agree, I'd love for that to be the norm, actually. Just seems surprising that they'd change on that. But then again, Disney in-house IPs might get more love than other licenses in that regard. All I'm getting is that they should try putting some of that innovation into sets' figures. If a CMF isn't exclusive to its respective series, then it shouldn't be a CMF to begin with, just a wide release figure. -
We have Arkham Batman, Injustice is not Rated M, I feel you on the rest, though. I remember one of the pad-printed custom places had Atom Eve and Invincible back in the day. I never even knew the comics existed until the show came out, but I knew Atom Eve from that custom. Now that I think about it, that CMF you fantasize would come with, at a minimum: Invincible, Atom Eve, Omni-Man, Homelander, Billy Butcher, Starlight, Movie Deadpool, Movie Cable, Movie Colossus, Arkham Knight, AK Scarecrow, Kick-A**, Hit Girl, Spawn, and Hellboy. There's no way that's ever happening, but a man can dream.

They're a very light, almost silver-colored blue in the comic. It would have been a nice detail, not necessary, but I wouldn't call it a stupid complaint if some of us (me) would've preferred him to have a bit more pop. But, if we don't get red lenses for regular Vader, we can't really expect Lego to color them now. You mean "nontroversy". I feel the head print is the only part that should've been re-done (give us that OG Rex 5 o'clock shadow ), but it's under the helmet so who cares. Yularen can still make that bread though, *fingers crossed for his rerelease next* -
Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

I am really starting to wonder then, what is the point of CMFs if they're not exclusive to their respective series? It defeats their whole point. -
Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

You dare use my own spells against me, @Mandalorianknight? There are a lot of factors at play though, @JeanGreyForever mentioned why characters like Daredevil, Punisher, and Blade made it into the Bugle, and apparently Deadpool was intended to be included, but Marvel said no. There's more to it than a simple "Deadpool is Rated R". Also, I'm not familiar with the German controversy, but I doubt Deadpool would carry the same response. In either case, I think its agreeable that's it's incredibly unlikely to happen anytime soon, regardless of the external factors.
