LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
ARC2149Nova replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
While the figures leave a bit to be desired (save for Darth Rey and this new guy), I think the build is pretty nice. I'd likely swap heads between Jar Jar and the Dev guy (seriously, Lego, that's how you should've designed him to begin with), which makes me happier about Jar Jar. Vader is still cool, but the big Lukbowski does nothing for me. Fleshie civilian parts always welcome though. -

I love it! Does it come in Catwoman too? Maybe Bo-Katan? Maybe Jean Grey while we're at it? -
Kinda something I (think I) made up. The name I mean, not the pairing. It's an extremely rare thing, surprised someone else here digs it too. Tim ships never die. Hell, people have been on KonTim way before this Bernard kid came along. Canon plebian. Nothing wrong with that, obviously. I think Marvel should reset and give Peter back Gwen. I mean the original Gwen, who, much like Ben Parker, seems to be struck with permadeath. Miles can still have Spider-Gwen. Though I like Black Cat, she doesn't seem all that into both sides of the mask, unlike most love interests. Also, Kon-Cass is great! Oh, you meant Cain, not Sandsmark. Except the box office. At what point, in either canon, did an RC ever fight a Mando-Jedi hybrid? Also, Gregor's feats, while nice, could never compare to his Delta and Omega brethren. After all, Gregor's confirmed KIA, while Sev is still out there... Not really helping myself am I?

Turtle would find himself much like Admiral Ozzel if he ventured over there. He really would be stupid. MY PEOPLE!!! We could always assume that you're Tarre Vizsla, in which case, you probably solo the whole thread. This seems accurate. Just enough kayfabe to keep us on our toes. Thing is, Star Wars will never die (for better or worse ) so the theme will continue. DC is constantly between free living and life support, much more touch and go.
-
Wait, people actually take turtle seriously? I think Tim is the only one here that would be guiltily of "woke", and even then, he's still one of if not the best Robin. People like basically everyone you just mentioned, or at the bare minimum find them inoffensive. I think DC's issue is mantle oversaturation, not any "forced diversity". And I don't care what DC says, I'm team DraCain forever. DC at least can still tell engaging stories. Marvel has just gotten stale. People only care when the stories nosedive in quality. Timothy was the secret third wheel after all. (I think he just means because they're women) @CloneCommando99 1. I dare you to find me one person who hates Cassandra Cain. 2. All this talk about profiles fighting, as a Null-class all I can say is... Bring it.

That is... Possibly the most inspired prediction I've ever heard. And I basically foresaw half of Summer 2020 I thought you guys didn't like amassing Rebels... The CIS have been getting a lot of mainline troops, but no big sets, while the Rebels have little set opportunities not taken up by more important characters. The few Alliance troops we do have currently are pretty sufficient for now. Just waiting for more Commandos, but they'll come in time. -
Wally mama-flippin West, baby. Preferably his Kid Flash or original Rebirth costume. Respectable, I find the lack of defined gloves unique (the Beware The Batman suit also lacks the definition between glove and sleeve and has no underwear either) I also used to hate the grey hands when I was younger, but it's grown on me over time. Eclipso would be insane! #NeverForget
-
Well, yes, but Batman does have multiple suits in case of various emergencies (including the absolute sunbeam of a costume he used to troll Lantern). It's just a lazy figure either way. And even if it is meant to be an Easter Batman, why not release other holiday themed suits? Santabat, St Batrick, Hallobat, etc.? Especially since you could tie it to Calendar Man. I'm sure we'll get one someday. This theme can't stay dead forever.
-
Could you provide link to it please, every Google search just gives me the regular Cyborg Superman. Technically, yes. I think all this trolling has missed the original point of my list, the Bunny Suit is still objectively one of the worst Batman minifigures. At least from a Comics standpoint. It's not particularly clever or creative, it's literally just Baby Blue Batman with bunny ears. What's he doing, selling ice cream?
-
You say this, and I'm patiently waiting for an example. Alternate costumes, sure. Matches Malone, sure. Straight-up Batman dressed as someone else, no. Also, Batman has been, overall, very consistent when you look at the basics: his overall reliance on gadgetry and hyper-preparedness, as well as his strict and consistent moral code. Personality has fluctuated, sure, but his personality changing has nothing to do with him going undercover as a fricking bunny. If you can name me one single example of Batman (not Bruce Wayne, Batman) using a disguise in his entire comics history, I'll promptly shut up. Until then, make your own tier list and quit beating this dead horse.

Thrawn's uniform is undamaged so that he's more versatile. Most Imperial Officers have pristine uniforms, and to be honest, Thrawn's doesn't seem all that different to me. -
Correct. Mainly the comics version. The problem is, TBATB and Adam West had Bat-suits designed for special scenarios that were, again, useful. Even most of TLBM's extra suits (while mostly designed likely out of hubris) have some sensible utilization (historical elseworlds, Scu-Bat is very Silver Age, etc.). No reason Batman just becomes Bunnyman all of a sudden. And the Tears of a Clown variant is just a colorful mess. It'd be slightly forgiven if it at least had a clever bat hidden on it. Do you mean Motorcycling Battinson? Or something from the 2004 series? And I was self-aware enough to realize Batman himself is a disguise, so again, why disguise himself extra? And I see none of you making tier lists! No. His name is Batman. AKA Bruce Wayne, the son of Thomas and Martha Wayne. Robin of Zur-En-Arrh.
-
They are objectively two of the most useless suits out of that whole lot. While some of the other TLBM designs can be utilized in niche situations (Historical Elseworlds, fancy clothes for Bruce Wayne, I could see Scu-Bat in a comic, etc), Tears, Bunny, Fairy, and the Disco Bats have no such excuse. The Type 4/5 cowl is not my cup of tea, and Movie Space Suit is incredibly lazy.
