- I'm not likely to buy any of the sets coming out this year. If I do get one, it'll probably be the BTAS Batmobile. - 1) Darkseid Invasion, 2) Power Armor Lex Luthor (from 2012), 3) Beware the Batman Batmobile. I don't actually own the first one, bought all the figures otherwise, but the Javelin is iconic. - The new Batman buildable figure. Just think that whole line of figures (for both DC and Marvel) is a waste of product. Hall of Justice. 100%. Includes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, The Atom, Hawkman, Hawkwoman, Captain Atom, Vixen, Black Canary, plus Lex Luthor, Cheetah, Bizarro, Scarcerow, Giganta, Gorilla Grodd, Black Manta, Black Adam, Captain Cold, Heatwave, and Vandal Savage. Don't care if it's $500, it'll be $500 well spent.

*Sees Skeleton Crew ingot* Ultron? -
Yes, it's GL centric, the point I was making was that in order to properly cover Blackest Night, you have to establish a lot of the stories that preceed it, including much of the Justice League's history. You can't start your Green Lantern saga with Sinestro Corps War/Blackest Night, that's all of the pay off with none of the set up.

Great wave! Only question: did you mean the 442nd Siege Battalion? Or just the Battlefront II 41st? It's cool if you meant the latter, but it'd be awesome if you meant the former! Though I would not enjoy the BL prices of that 327th trooper, we couldn't get at least two? -
Green Lantern if done right has incredible potential to be the next huge Sci-Fi franchise. It's on par with Star Wars or Halo in that regard. War of Light would be incredible, but a terrible idea to shoot for out of the gate. You need at least one trilogy prior to that. Plus, Black Night is a Justice League story, a lot needs to happen before we get to that point. But generally I agree, give us the Lantern mythos. Limiting GL to Earth (or any one planet) is incredibly stupid, but Hal does have a terrestrial rogues gallery: Doctor Polaris, Sonar, Black Hand (set up for Blackest Night), you could bring in Evil Star and Goldface. No one terribly iconic, but there are some fun ones to play with. Major Disaster (but he needs to be in his black coat), Eclipso (risky without the JLA but a worthy opponent), Doctor Light (Arthur)... The more I think about it, the more I actually like the idea of grounding Lantern first, before making the jump to Sinestro and all that follows.

Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

I swear, sometimes this hobby feels like an abusive relationship. Granted Arrow and Shazam are more popular, and Disney was on the "No X-Men" train for a while, but now, there's really no excuse for either of those two to be missing. I'd even settle for wrap-around leg printing, if it means we get some fresh life in this theme. We don't even have Kingpin, yet. The Bugle should've been the Lego Spider-Man set. Instead, we got a very mixed bag. The new heroes were nice, everything else was a missed opportunity. I've been wanting Squirrel Girl, Cloak and Dagger since the Ultimate Spider-Man days. Maybe someday... -

Forget all that, what about a classic Jessica Drew? I know she had a SDCC figure, but we need a regular version. Bring back Scarlet Spider, give us Silk, all these Spider-folk and only one of them from the actual 616 is crazy. And I would kill for a classic Wasp. Any classic avengers, honestly. -

Five's couldn't possibly be on that list, unless you're talking about printing, he has no new molds and neither does Saw. Pauldrons and other fabric elements evidently don't cost Lego that much, seeing as how shoulder accessories are incredibly common. Malak and maybe Nien have new molds, but honestly, Cal nor Leia need them. Yes, it sucks that Cal has no poncho, but grab that Tatooine Luke that came in the Landspeeder from 2021 or so, and it's a decent substitute. It's definitely lazy though, on Lego's part. Really, aside from name recognition, none of the anniversary figures feel special. Like you mentioned, it seemed like they just went for a bunch of fairly popular characters that could've been in any number of relevant sets on their own. -
What the frick is happening? You are exactly right. The Guardians were good films for what they were, but, forgive me for sounding like a purist, those aren't the Guardians of the Galaxy. Of course, my first introduction to them was Earth's Mightiest Heroes, so I'm a tad biased. Still, I can acknowledge that it was a good film and people love it, no denying that. I just hope that Gunn isn't one note and can accurately portray these characters as they're meant to be, not just how he wants them to be. GotG is fine when you've got Cap and Iron Man running around to balance things out. Not the case if everything's the same. I got the impression that The Suicide Squad was very much in the style of GOTG. And now we wait for Superman. I'm sure it'll be enjoyable, but let's keep those horses stabled. /uj I believe he was just stating that Covid was a thing that was prevalent during the release of some of those films, not a criticism one way or the other. Unless this is also part of the memery, in which case: as you were.

This thread is absolutely unhinged. I love it! And Lego made sets for it. But that was two years ago, surely Batman is finished now. I wonder how Blue Beetle sets would've done. I mean, we already have a Blue Beetle, which may or may not have been a factor in getting a tie-in figure at least (compared to Shazam, who only had the Comic Con figure prior). Yes, I'm aware how little sense that makes, but we did get Suicide Squad members back in 2016, and Bronze Tiger close to the release of The Suicide Squad (a year early, but still). There's always the Disney excuse, aka Warner Bros might be dictating to Lego what they can actually cover in sets right now. They may be holding off on authorizing anything major until the brand's back in style. Which is a lot of faith to put in James Gunn, but I digress.

Just give us more battle packs. Some can be army builders, some can be named character packs. My problem with blisters is that outside of a really well stocked Lego store, there's no easy way to obtain them. It's why the Clone and Hoth Rebel packs absolutely pissed me off. Rarely on Shop-at-home, never at my closest brick & mortar. Battle Packs will at least be on multiple stores' shelves. 4 figures, some lazy build, and $20. Much better deal when you add the availability. And before you say it, Lego has and will never sell such booster packs at regular retail, except for maybe ToysRus, and even then, that won't be accessible for the average American consumer. Also, DLC is only for video games. They'd be companion sets or add-ons. -
This 100%. Lego's poor set choices are to blame. Hell, we could get 100 Batman sets for all I care, as long as we get a variety of characters along the way. The early sets found a great balance. We got basically the entire Justice League before they even got any sets. Nowadays, every set is the same three to four figures: Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn, Riddler. Maybe the occasional Batgirl or Penguin. C'mon Lego! More BTAS sets would be amazing to get, especially if it could lead to the DCAU as a whole. I don't dare raise my hopes for The Question, Vigilante, or Shining Knight. You're joking, right? Like you actually can't think Batman, arguably the most popular DC Superhero of all time, next to Superman and Spider-Man, is suddenly old news. Also, Superman isn't out yet, though I suppose that part actually is a joke. Got a set, (wish Mera wore green like the comics but oh well) Rated-R Nothing really set worthy, but we did at least get him in a Batman set (screw you, SDCC! ) (Did get a set which was okay, Cheetah was awesome) Rated-R Meh. Could've gotten a Tower of Fate, instead we got a (redacted) hammer... Got three sets. Good figures. Okay set designs. Nobody cared because of legal reasons Flew under the radar, basically Blue Shazam. Why would the sequel get a set before the first movie? I'm sure it has happened, but it's not common. Also flew under the radar. No. The one set we could've gotten was shelved faster than the Overwatch mech. Rated-R The next likely three set outing. Superman movies always tend to get a few sets (MoS, BvS, JL), so there's some hope there.

You forgot the UCS Agent Kallus, in the distinguished style of Darth Maul's ABS bust. I suppose if I was interested in Rebels getting a set next year, I'd go for this: Imperial Interdictor ($159.99): Admiral Konstantine (Tan Uniform), Governor Pryce (BDG Uniform), Imperial Officer (BDG Uniform, Navy Captain), Imperial Navy Trooper, Sabine Wren (S4), Ezra Bridger (S3). or I'd settle for this: Duel for the Darksaber ($49.99): Sabine Wren (S3), Ursa Wren, Tristan Wren, Gar Saxon, Imperial Supercommando. -
You're right to a degree, but I'm not complaining about the TBverse sets and figures, as those are (mostly) excellent. Plus, they're classic at this point. What I would be against is only receiving Gunnverse sets and figures in the future. Lego Marvel is 50% MCU and 50% Spiderverse. I don't want to see 50% DCCU and 50% Batmanverse. Surely, there's a happy medium. I do think that the brand has suffered because of no DC media (no cartoons, movies, or tv shows). If Warner Bros get their act together, I'm sure things have a shot at going back to normal.

Good ideas, though I don't think you realize how big the original Phantom was. I know you mean system scale, couldn't help myself. I definitely do not see them doing anything for Rebels 10th anniversary. It apparently didn't do too well the first go around, and the show isn't nearly as good or popular as Clone Wars. Odds are we get maybe one set, but those odds are about the same as successfully navigating an asteroid field. -

All good. You're probably right, but a man can dream. I mean, that's probably what will happen, though I'm holding out hope for the Claremont Era Cyclops (one time Lego being lazy could be useful ). Wolverine should be more detailed that the Blackbird at least. -

1. I don't think they're that lazy. Lego will shake it up a bit. Rogue and Wolverine are the only ones to probably get reused. 2. Most of the 97 costumes are the Jim Lee designs (with minor adjustments), not sure where's the debunk there. 3. Morph is not, I repeat NOT going to be just a new head. His costume is different enough from Cykes to at minimum require a new torso print. Give Lego some credit. I'd rather Lego get its bricks together and actually give us figures that are worth a damn. Especially in a set this expensive. I don't think a new hairpiece is out of the question, though. Failing that, a sufficient print for the head would be enough. Let's try to keep the CMFs for new members only. -

I'm guessing Brown Suit, Green & White, Claremont Costume, OG Red, Claremont Costume, regular, Jim Lee, Jim Lee, '97, and lab coat. Sure, we could get the regular 90s costumes, but I think Lego could throw us a curve ball and give us the end of season outfits. No Jubes is an absolute war crime, but so is waiting this long for Jean and Gambit. For the price though, only 10 figures is absurd. -
Not bad, though I think Darkseid is above joining the Sinestro Corps, he might make it the Darkseid/Omega Corps If we're doing full-blown headcanons, then I guess I'll drag up my old notes on Earth-44 The Justice League has two main teams, the public face, the main hitters, and the Justice League Covert, also known as the League's Black Ops. The primary JLA consists of (in order of membership): Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, The Flash (Barry Allen), Green Lantern I (Hal Jordan), Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg, Shazam, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Hawkman, Vixen, and Captain Atom. The JL Covert is led by John Stewart/Green Lantern II, Supergirl, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes), Red Robin, Black Bat, Mera, Red Tornado, and the "Secret Weapon", the third Green Lantern, Jessica Cruz. Several heroes serve as outside allies of the Justice League. These include Ted Kord, Adam Strange, Ray Palmer, Kimiyo Hoshi, and Kyle Rayner (Earth's fourth Green Lantern). The Titans consist of Nightwing, Starfire, Kid Flash, Beast Boy, Tempest, Omen, Bumblebee, Stargirl, and Arsenal. Troia, Raven, and Kyle Rayner rotate in and out of team membership, instead mostly serving as allies. The Reverse Flash is responsible for creating the Injustice Society, as well as the Legion of Doom. The LoD serve to take the fall for the Society's plans. Later, Vandal Savage creates the Secret Society, adding members from Thawne's group, as well as his own. The Society: Reverse Flash, Lex Luthor, Cheetah, Sinestro, Black Adam, Dark Archer, Deathstroke, Ma'alefa'ak, and Ocean Master. The Legion of Doom: Black Manta, Weather Wizard, Silver Banshee, Parasite, Blockbuster, The Riddler, Sportsmaster, Giganta, and Doctor Arthur Light. The Secret Society: Vandal Savage, Circe, Ra's Al Ghul, Lex Luthor, Reverse Flash, Count Vertigo, Queen Bee, The Scarecrow. Task Force X, formerly under the command of Amanda Waller, came under League control after Catwoman was recruited into the "Suicide Squad", forcing the Justice League's Covert Unit to stop Waller. Those that survived the ensuing confrontation were given a new purpose: redeeming themselves as a special JLA task force of reformed super-villains. The Justice League's Task Force X would include Catwoman, Killer Frost, Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Man-Bat, Star Sapphire, and Anarky. See Stephanie Brown for more information: There's a lot more, but in summation, it's really depressing to see DC basically get abandoned by Lego, when there's still a whole universe to explore. And I don't think the knock offs are made anymore! (I kid, never support those)

I suppose some actually excited about this buildable creature? I feel like it's a waste of a slot, and young Leia isn't the most desirable figure, either. -

Well, in my custom universe Lego actually made half the characters I want them to... The only thing custom I guess is my team lineups, based on what Lego has actually given us: Justice League (*Founding Member) Superman* Wonder Woman* Batman* The Flash* Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)* Green Lantern (John Stewart) Aquaman* Martian Manhunter* Green Arrow Black Canary Hawkman Shazam Plastic Man Titans: Nightwing, Starfire, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Supergirl, Green Lantern (Jessica Cruz), Blue Beetle, Bumblebee, Superboy, Stargirl, Firestorm I refuse to acknowledge Hawkgirl until she gets a better helmet. Which knowing Lego, is probably never. Simon only appears when the GLs show up in force. The Superfriends don't exist.
