I will not tolerate this Lantern slander! Back to dunking on the Kryptonian. Of the Lanterns that matter (), these three are obviously the ones with the cleanest noses. Also, Jessica kinda proves that the yellow ring isn't inherently evil, a concept that should be explored more honestly. Emotions aren't evil, actions are evil. Greed notwithstanding.

I know this is the Aslume... But don't you ever... EVER... disrespect my boy Flash again. Why would Ace in any universe be a match for Bane? Are you trying to get PETA on our tail? Also, I'd argue it should be Batman vs Catwoman... And Robin vs Joker. That's because Alfred would delete half of Batman's rogues in one night. He's in the cave for their protection. This is perfect. This is just mean. Also, the death of a loved one is a common superhero trope, regardless of gender. Uncle Ben, Gwen Stacey, The Waynes, Pa Kent, etc. Why wouldn't a villain go after the person the hero loves? "When Gwen Stacey died, no one said a word. Lantern's girlfriend gets stuck in a fridge, and everyone loses their minds!!!" _ The Joker, probably.

I mean, Batman stared down Darkseid, it was absurd, I'll admit, but Batman can put up with the best of them. Even Brainiac could buckle to the Bat given the right circumstances. Also, TIL Lex Luthor is a B-List villain... Also, to show I know my stuff, off the top of my head, Superman's rogues gallery includes Lex Luthor, Zod, Darkseid, Brainiac, Doomsday, Parasite, Toyman, Bizarro, Myx, Bizarro, Metallo, Silver Banshee, Atomic Skull, Bruno Mannheim, and Livewire. Trying to pull a deep cut, but those came to my head immediately. Does Maxima count? Not gonna lie, Doomsday would fold the entire Justice League, no matter who's on it. Great list in total, wanted to highlight some of my favorite parts. 2012's Catwoman set was my first Lego DC set ever. Holds a special place in my heart. 2015 is still the best year this theme has had, and Brainiac Attack is a great pick. I love that skull ship. The Bat-Mech from 2019 is really good, IMO Ivy's the weakest part of the set. Finally got Firefly (in all his 2004/LBM3 glory!!!), and Flash got boots!

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Some folks are happy with anything. Other folks aren't. Objectively, it's been a good year. Some desirable figs, okay set selection, even some Clone War love. Worth a few duds (RTG) which might even turn out well. -
LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

On the other hand, I feel like Lego doing their own Star Wars sets is a waste of slots in general. Especially when there's canon content to be made or remade. -
Depends on who's writing him. If they understand that Superman is basically a good guy trying to help people and protect the ones he loves because deep down he's human (in all but physiology) then no. If he's just a "God among men" a la Kill Bill's character breakdown on him, then yes. All of the evil Supermen fall into this too. I know, "power corrupts", so it's refreshing to have heroes who do good because of the power they have. Exactly. I have a buddy who swears up and down that Superman is just so boring, and I'm like "tell me you know nothing about Superman without telling me you know nothing about Superman". But to be fair, a lot of more recent media hasn't done him any favors. MAWS is probably the best version of the character in the last 5-10 years (didn't watch CW's Clark and Lois, so I could be corrected). Even the DCAMU got Superman wrong for like half those films (he gets better towards the end). Don't get me wrong, I can enjoy even a poorly written Superman, but those interpretations don't help him beat the boring allegations. Exactly. Even if they did a Superman or Batman specific CMF, they should feature figures from across the character's history. Like can't beat him at all? Or that he's unable to defeat? Because I can list nearly all of Superman's Earth-bound foes that Batman can defeat. Batman can't handle some of his own villains at times, not sure how that makes Superman's villains better than his. Batman objectively has the best rogues gallery in comics, followed by Spider-Man. Best in terms of design, character, and depth. Superman would definitely be third, followed by The Flash. The average joe can name more Batman villains than Superman villains. If we're talking power levels, then of course Superman's gallery would rank above Batman, but that wasn't Turtle's point.

What is quality control anyway? -
Nathan is Hal and I cannot get over how you fumble a casting that badly. Not your point but I had to. Bats: Lantern. Hal Fillion: I say Ro-day-o Bats: Report! I love those movies. Debating who's more relatable between Supes and Bats is the miss the whole point of either character. Superman is super, yes, but he still gets up, goes to work, has a deep and often complicated relationship, and at the end of the day, he's a humble farmboy from Kansas. Under all the superpowers, Kal-El of Krypton is just Clark Kent from Smallville. Batman on the other hand, is super rich, has a butler, a mansion, and all the cool toys one could dream of, but under all that money and pseudo-charm, he's a traumatized and lonely man, who would rather comfort the forgotten of Gotham than sit in a boardroom. Pretends to push everyone away, yet secretly enjoys their company because he has no genuine social skills. Super or not, born here or not, all these characters are human deep down. Which is I absolutely love Superman and Batman. Especially when the writers get it right. I've been on a Superman journey recently, so don't mind me. I agree with you, btw, just wanted to say that Superman is also relatable in his own way. Also I read Batman: Hush this weekend, and the whole "deep down, he's a good person, and deep down, I'm not" is sad because it really shows you how depressed Batman is as a character. Also jarring because I grew up watching Adam West.

Not really. Lego does a lot of one-off molds. Annoying, yes, but not unusual. -
Debatable on point one, Bats seems to tolerate most of the Lanterns at best. Straight facts on point 2, worthy of Star Wars/Trek, Halo, etc. I know you're likely referring to the space-faring villains, but I love Hal's Earth rogues. How can you not enjoy the likes of Doctor Polaris, Goldface, Evil Star, Hector Hammond, and Sonar?

I think instead of a corporate "Order 66" of established lore, Star Wars should've gotten it's own Flashpoint event. I'm joking, of course. I don't mind the Canon and Legends designations, they're simple enough. Legends, Myths, and Fables on the other is a bit confusing. Besides Legends sounds cooler than Canon, quite fitting for the stories contained within.

X-Men blister pack!!! Featuring Nightcrawler, Jubilee, and Sunspot. The backlash will be legendary... But I'd happily snap one up. -
I mean, I'd take a Superman CMF series in general. Not jazzed about movie designs, I collect comic figs more, so a Superman CMF with comic versions of Lois, Jimmy, Metallo, Parasite, a few other rogues, Maggie Sawyer and the Kents, I'd be a very happy camper. Throw Guy in there somewhere (like literally just throw him in a box ) and you have the perfect CMF! Swap Lex with literally anyone other than Zod and I'm sold (I know he's the villain in the movie, but he's basically the only Superman villain we have )

Holy crap, you've hit the nail on the head. That would've been perfect. I suppose it's an easy enough custom either way.
