  1. Recently, I've been on a quest to find out which sets are in "minifigure-scale", i.e. UCS Falcon-scale. To my (horrific) surprise, the UCS Slave I is actually not to scale (needs to be a touch longer. and needs a bigger cockpit area maybe?). Now despite not owning these two sets, I do eventually plan to streamline my LSW collection, and collecting the ships that scale properly seems like a decent idea. Now as to how this relates, there are a few sets which I think could be redesigned to fit the Falcon-scale, and I'd like to maybe see them in 2024. A-Wing Starfighter (closest in-scale: 6207). Price point would be roughly $19.99, and would include A-Wing Pilot (Dark Green jumpsuit), Rebel Commando (pathfinder jacket). Could possibly use a new piece in order to split the nose accurately. B-Wing Bomber (closest in-scale: 75050). Price point is $59.99. Same size as the 2014 version, except a bit more solid in build. Minifigures include a Blade Squadron pilot, Crix Madine, and the obligatory Ten Numb. Snowspeeder (closest in-scale: 4500). Price point is $19.99, and would simply include Luke Skywalker and Dak Ralter (snowspeeder fatigues, a distinction Lego needs to return to) AT-RT Recon (closest in-scale: 8098 pack-in). Price point is $14.99 and would be an accessory pack with an accurate AT-RT as the build. AT-RT Driver, Kashyyyk Trooper, Wookie Warrior (armored).
  2. @Kit Figsto I like these ideas, though I'd change the Echo Base lineup a touch: Hoth versions of Han, Luke, Leia, Toryn Farr, General Rieekan, K-3PO, Hoth Rebel Trooper (Trey Callum). Hoth Rebel Trooper (Echo Base Gear), Wedge Antilles, Wes Jansen (Alternatively: Zev Senesca & Will Scotian). I like the idea of Hobbie, but he was never technically on-screen, and I doubt Lego would do anything to distinguish him from Dutch Vander. The Tauntaun stays, but I don't consider it a minifigure The main thread also brought up Theed, and while I think the main palace is draw enough, the figure selection could be completely wizard: Padme (Battle Dress), 2x Naboo Royal Guard (Maroon), Captain Panaka, Anakin, Qui-Gon, Obi-wan, Ric Ollie, R2-D2, Darth Maul, Nute Gunray, 2x Battle Droid Security, Droideka. Contains an N-1 in the style of Yavin's Y-Wing.
  3. I will probably get the Yavin IV temple. Massive fan of the Rebel Pilots, so Garven Dreis and Jon "Dutch" Vander (going with his government name this time LEGO ?) will make fine additions to my collection (I don't have Gold Leader yet). Only gripe is that we didn't get Davish Krail (New Helmet) or Tiree (Snowspeeder Microfighter Pilot's Helmet). One RFT is weak, but then again, how would they explain the same dude appearing twice (Make a new headprint? What do you think this is? ). C-3PO's silver boot print is donkey, but expected. Luke, and Red Leader are the highlights for sure. Not sure why leaks said Crix Madine over the obvious Dodonna, but now the 2021 X-Wing has a net total of 0 exclusive figures (which is fine). R2-BHD will be nice to get again outside the UCS, Leia's fine, but 2012 did it better imo. Ground Crew is lazy, and best part of the aforementioned RFT is his accessories. The build isn't bad, don't care about an out-of-scale Y-Wing as I own the RO version, but all in all, 6/10. Not bad, not great. Average. The other two are just I really hate LEGO sometimes (kidding). The swamp speeder is the biggest "bruh moment" of the year (though the actual figures are nice) and Vaughn is just It's truly the thought that counts. Imagine if we actually had to pay $25+ for that... I'm slightly angered by the fact that Yoda's Starfighter was not his Battlefront II version, but this makes it easier to skip so win-win. The mechs don't seem that bad by comparison. I legit dug out my 2014 ISP (haven't built that thing in years) in preparation for Lego's shenanigans.
  4. I'm gonna pick up that sweet new Boba figure. The Stormtrooper will have to wait: Let's see which battle packs cross the horizon in 2024. Also, total waste of set slots. Complete and inexcusable. But the figures are nice, so kriff it, I'll ball.
  5. Bought the Fang vs Interceptor set. Both were much larger than I expected. Glad to finally have my favorite Starfighter on the shelf.
  6. The figures don't have to make sense, it's Lego! I want an E-Wing with Legends characters, not Disney ones. Sorry Ahsoka. Also, I think the new E-Wing is a slight redesign. So there's also that.
  7. This. I think the real rumor was just Throne Room, which expanded to Jabba's Throne Room. Then when the Final Duel rumor started swirling, the two separated into 2 sets instead of simply connecting the dots. Jabba’s throne room was always in question. The Final Duel was not.
  8. I could see one from Fallen Order being like this: Stormtrooper Commander, 2x Scout Troopers (electro-staffs and web-gear). Purge Trooper (Includes Electrostaff and a Rifle). Include a set of cloth pieces for the different ranks of Purge Trooper. Some ROTJ sets I want: A-Wing Starfighter ($39.99): A-Wing Pilot (Sila Kott), Rebel Crew, Admiral Ackbar. B-Wing Starfighter ($59.99): B-Wing Pilot (Keyan Farlander), Rebel Commando, Mon Mothma. Y-Wing Starfighter ($49.99): Orange markings. Ekelarc Yong, Grizz Frix, R5-P9, Crix Madine. Millennium Falcon ($139.99): Lando Calrissian, Nien Nunb, Colonel Airen Cracken, Lieutenant Blount, Rebel Ground Crew (white helmet), Orrimaarko. And a legends set: E-Wing vs TIE Interceptor ($119.99): 181st TIE variant. Mara Jade, Luke Skywalker, Soontir Fel, Ysanne Isard.
  9. Excellent figures all-around, but I wanted to bring special attention to two of my favorite "extras" from ROTJ.
  10. The new Biker Scouts. The 2014 movie Stormtroopers are second. Favorite Alt Variant? The 2019 Shadow Trooper (New helmet and all )
  11. My ideal 2024 Battle Pack list (if we got 4) 327th Star Corps Troopers Battle Pack ($19.99): 3x 327th Star Corps Trooper, 1x Clone Trooper Captain (Deviss). Crab Droid. Endor Rebel Commandos Battle Pack ($19.99): Nik Sant , Judder Page, Dansra Beezer, Kes Dameron. Two-seater 74-Z Speeder Bike. Imperial Stormtroopers Battle Pack ($19.99): 3x Stormtroopers (same heads as the Snowtroopers BP), Biker Scout (same head as the Hoth Biker Scout). Little chicken walker. Mandalorian Privateers Battle Pack ($19.99): 2x Male Death Watch, 2x Female Death Watch (one could be Koska Reeves). New Mandalorian speeder (as in, new style).
  12. Not too soon, in fact kind of overdue. I wonder if LEGO's just waiting before springing yet another stormtrooper variant on us (the Trash Compactor body + 2019 helmet).I would buy quite a few, No on all counts. The Hoth pack was extremely difficult to buy for a good chunk of its lifespan, alongside it's clone counterpart, which is why it sold "poorly". Add to the fact that it didn't include the backpacks, how dare they? We need more rebel troopers. As in NEED them. Just like droids, the Rebels have been shafted from battle packs for the last 5-6 years. It's time we got one. As far as the clones go, the 501st are overrated. Yes, you heard that right. I much prefer the 212th or the 327th to the boys in blue. If LEGO made a 327th Battle Pack, I would buy more than it is healthy to buy (Hello there, LEGO designers ). Let's hope for 2 battle packs as well. While I can't say I'd be 100% jazzed about the Imperial Supercommandos, at least we'd get some type of Imperial army builder back on shelves.
  13. Fixed for you. (Nothing against Rae Sloane)
  14. Reviving this thread to remind everyone of the power of... http://Crew of the Tantive IV by Kordel Pender, on Flickr BOOTS! Some more pics to give this thread some new life (hopefully) http://Rebel Strike Team by Kordel Pender, on Flickr http://Rebel Scraps by Kordel Pender, on Flickr http://Cody and Rex Updates by Kordel Pender, on Flickr
  15. I just want Drash.... I have spoken. This year really feels like Lego doesn't know how to cover shows (at least until Ahsoka), and after a season's over, any hope for sets is slim to none. But at least we have helmets and mechs!
  16. So, I made a thing last night, it's my first real MOC, hope you guys enjoy! http://Republic Raid Craft by Kordel Pender, on Flickr http://Republic Raid Craft by Kordel Pender, on Flickr http://Republic Raid Craft by Kordel Pender, on Flickr This is the TX-20 Raid Craft, a rapid-response vessel in service to the Grand Army of the Republic. It's primary role is the rapid transport of reinforcements to the front lines, and as an escort craft to larger land vehicles, such as the AT-TE. With a minimum crew of five soldiers, the TX-20 is primarily operated via droid brain, with enhanced sensors allowing it to input and process the necessary battlefield data. This droid brain removed the need for a trained driver, allowing it to maximize troop-carrying potential. Due to a lack of shielding, the TX-20 compensated for it's open troop bay by having 4 heavy cannons mounted on the front of the craft (including two primary turbolasers), and four mounted gunports on the sides of the vehicle. The TX-20 was initially designed as a prototype special forces vehicle, made for quick infil and exfil operations undergone by clone recon scouts and commandos. It's small profile and silent engines allowed it to slip past enemy radar undetected. Because of the GAR's full-frontal-assault strategy, the TX-20's purpose eventually changed, allowing for full squad transport. A typical TX-20 can hold up to ten men comfortably, but has a max capacity of twenty occupants (even though mine doesn't ). Unfortunately, the TX-20 rarely saw use during the War, instead being phased out in favor of the AT-TE and AT-OT, with the LAAT/i Gunship continuing to be the main source of frontline reinforcements.
  17. Unfortunately no such sets on the horizon, my friend, though we'd all love a Stinger Mantis, just like you.
  18. That would've been $750 . But I agree.
  19. I know, but armored soldiers have been the last like, 12 battle packs, so that's why I chose Rebels. Let's hope for the return to 2 (or more) Battle Packs next year. I love everything about this!
  20. UPDATED 2024 Wave Predictions Some Notes: I think it might be safe to say that Bad Batch Season 2 (or hell, Season 1 at this point), will more than likely not get any sets this year. Also, I heard the helmet sets were cancelled (?) so I'm not including them. Hopefully we get two beefy waves with one or two stragglers, vs a ton of sets randomly released throughout the year (the number of sets in each HY will reflect this). Some of my previous predictions will return here. 2024 1HY Wave (January) Bo-Katan's Gauntlet Starfighter ($14.99): Bo-Katan Kryze. Comes with hair, helmet, and the Darksaber. Rebel Alliance Battle Pack ($19.99): 2x Rebel Fleet Troopers (Pello Scrambas, 1 female), 1x Endor Rebel Trooper (Judder Page), Rebel Officer (has the CMF janitor cap). Build is a speeder bike, with some jungle foliage. The Phantom ($39.99): Hera Syndulla, C1-10P, Ahsoka Tano, Grand Admiral Thrawn. TIE Defender ($59.99): TIE Fighter Pilot, Imperial Astromech Droid, Stormtrooper, Gilad Pellaeon. Y-Wing Starfighter ($64.99): Zeb Orrellios, Astromech Droid, New Republic Pilot, New Republic Fleet Trooper. (May) ARC-170 Starfighter ($69.99): Captain Jag, Clone Pilot, R4-P44, Plo Koon (New Head!). UCS TIE Interceptor ($239.99): TIE Pilot (Ace Stripes), Tiaan Jerjerrod. Battle on Utapau ($59.99): Commander Cody (helmet and hair), Obi-Wan Kenobi (new hair, dual-molded legs), 212th Clone Trooper. Brick-built Boga, Crab Droid, part of the Utapauan platform. "By the way, I think you'll be needing this!". Also includes Palpatine hologram piece. Betrayal on Cloud City ($89.99): An elaborate model of the dining room, including part of the hallway and lobby area outside. Han Solo, Princess Leia (New Hair), Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian, Boba Fett, and Darth Vader. "We would be honored if you would join us." Jedi Council Chambers ($99.99): Mace Windu, Yoda, Shaak Ti, Anakin Skywalker. Build is semi-circular, but has all twelve seats, the far window, and several columns. "Take a seat, Young Skywalker." 2HY Wave Vulture Droid Starfighter ($24.99): 2x Battle Droid, Captain Rex. Imperial Fighter Tank ($39.99): Imperial TX-130. 3x Imperial Stormtrooper, Imperial Tank Driver. A-Wing Interceptor ($34.99): General Lando Calrisssian, Arvel Crynyd, Lieutenant Blount. Patrol on Hoth ($49.99): Zev Senesca, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Hoth Rebel Trooper. Snowspeeder, molded Tauntaun, and Imperial Probe Droid. Includes a snowy trench as well. Skeleton Crew set ($??.??): Jude Law's character, 2 main characters, main antagonist. Imperial Shuttle ($79.99): Colonel Yularen, Dedra Meero, 2x Death Troopers, Imperial Shuttle Pilot. AT-OT ($139.99): Aayla Secura, Commander Bly, 3x 327th Clone Troopers, 2x Battle Droid, Super Battle Droid. Bo-Katan Kryze (Mythosaur shoulder), Din Djarin, Grogu, Axe Woves, 2x Mandalorian Privateers, Moff Gideon, 2x Imperial Supercommandos, UCS Jabba's Sail Barge ($649.99): Luke Skywalker (Throne Room Hair), Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian, R2-D2, C-3PO, Jabba the Hutt, Salacious Crumb, 2x Gamorrean Guard, Ree-Yees, Max Rebo, Tessik, Saelt-Marae, Pagetti Rook, Boba Fett, Nysad, Brock Starsher, Mercenary Pilot, Pote Snitkin. Includes both skiffs and the Sarlacc Pit.
  21. Facts. I only really care about the TIE Interceptor, personally (my favorite of the TIE variants). Padme: New helmet print right? Personal favorite figure so far is between Bo-Katan and Pilot Luke. Don't see many figures topping them (No, not even Rex)
  22. Seems quite sad that the best Mando S3 set is also the one of least consequence. Should've just made a 40th anniversary TIE Interceptor and call it a day.
  23. Season 6, the Banking Clan Arc. The episode with Commander Thorn.
  24. Facts. What gets released is a mixture of relevance and haphazardness. Sets and figures that should get made often don't, and weird niche designs do get released. Necessary redesigns get ignored in favor of the trillionth X-Wing. The UCS series is one of the strongest sub-themes Lego has ever created, and now that the OT options are closing out, they'll begin to experiment and branch out. If that so happens to coincide with a system scale release, that's just a coincidence. Patterns left after the "remake every 5 years" was killed (due to Disney and the new movies). For those of you confused by what I'm talking about, prior to 2014, iconic vehicles were often remade approximately once every five years: Once Disney's influx of new content happened, understandably this system vanished. Now whatever we get, we get whenever.
