I don’t think this license is going anywhere anytime soon. The producers of Dominion say it will mark “the start of a new era” of Jurassic World movies where dinosaurs and humans coexist. They are already talking about JW 4,5, and 6. I think LEGO is going to start to think creatively about new ways to sell these sets. I don’t think a CMF series (if it includes Dino parts) or another D2C or anything really is off the table yet.

I don’t know... I have come to expect the unexpected from LEGO. There is going to be an all-out media, marketing, and merchandising blitz associated with Jurassic World: Dominion and I actually think a UniKitty-sized CMF to coincide with the movie release would work well. Each minifig could come with a piece of a dinosaur so, if you collect them all, you can build two small / medium dinosaurs. I imagine they would limit the set to 14 minifigs and 14 dino body parts (4 arms, 4 legs, 2 bodies, 2 tails, 2 heads). The Jurassic World box art encourages kids to take their dinos apart and build their own hybrids, so the body parts could be mix-and-match. In terms of minifigs, I imagine we could get: - Dr. Grant - Dr. Sattler - Dr. Malcolm - Dr. Wu - Dodgson - Owen - Claire - Barry - Franklin - Zia - Maisey - Hammond (JP throwback) - Nedry (JP throwback) - Muldoon (JP throwback) Is this likely? Probably not. But is it possible? Anything is possible!

This is so exciting! I wonder what, if anything, Florean’s inclusion could hint to... In the books, Florean Fortescue is most prominently featured in Prisoner of Azkaban. When Harry lives at the Leaky Cauldron for a few weeks over the summer, Florean treats him to free ice cream sundaes and helps him with his History of Magic homework. I always found that part very touching, as Harry doesn’t have parents to treat him to ice cream or help him with homework. Does this mean we could be getting a nice Leaky Cauldron build with Harry’s room on the second floor? Will Florean’s Ice Cream Parlor be featured next to the entrance of Knockturn Alley like it was in the film? I can’t believe it’s finally happening! The Diagon Alley leaks have begun!

Didn’t someone on here say that the reason we don’t have Jurassic Park vehicles yet is due to a licensing issue? Either with JEEP or Ford or both? Hopefully, they can get it sorted soon because I think our best chance of getting one of these vehicles will be in the next wave of sets that will be released alongside Jurassic World: Dominion. I imagine they will include at least one nostalgia set in the mix, since it sounds like the original JP heroes (Grant, Sattler, Malcolm) will play major roles in the new film. Maybe it will be Sattler driving the JEEP with Malcolm in the back seat and a T-Rex chasing them with some kind of exploding tree build.

I agree with @Guyon2002 that LEGO probably won’t change the standard size of the raptor anytime soon - however that doesn’t mean we will never get a smaller raptor. Look at the adolescent Dilophosaurus (quite a bit smaller than the standard Dilophosaurus but much bigger than the baby Dino piece) that was included in last year’s Dilophosaurus on the Loose set. Yes, it’s based on an episode of the LEGO Legends of Isla Nublar snow, but if that show is renewed for a second season (technically a third season since LEGO Secret Exhibit was first) it could feature Owen with adolescent raptors instead of adult or baby raptors.

Looking forward to building my LEGO Jurassic collection. Has anyone else noticed that the robotic T-Rex is the exact same colors / patterns as the Jurassic Park Explorer? It even includes red stripe stickers. I wonder if anyone has tried making their own JP Explorer using the pieces in this set. The best MOC Explorer I’ve been able to find so far is by @jonaskramm:

After binge watching all of the Jurassic movies this weekend, I decided to download the LEGO Legend of Isla Nublar TV show. Not sure if this has already been noted, but it looks like every single 2020 set (except for the gyrosphere) is based on this new TV show. A few key dinos that appear on the TV show that haven’t been turned into LEGO yet include the Mosasaurus, the Stegosaurus, and the Brachiosaurus. Any thoughts on if / when we will get these? Also, why don’t we have a Jurassic Park Visitors Center (or JEEP or Explorer) yet?? I’m a massive fan of the Jurassic movies, but have only collected the LEGO Harry Potter series to date. Today, I ordered the JP Velociraptor attack, Dr. Wu’s lab, the Dilophosaurus Breakout, and the LEGO Juniors set with the iconic brown T-Rex. Also placed a back order for the new Fossils set. Are there any other key sets that folks think are must-haves for this series? Looking forward to building out my collection!

Has anyone else had problems with their orders from Steinchenwelt? I ordered the Astronomy Tower from Zavvi and it arrived in three days. Ordered Forbidden Forest from BRICKshop and it arrived in five days. It’s now been three weeks since I ordered Hedwig and the Room of Requirement from Steinchenwelt and still nothing...

Back to Hogwarts Day (September 1) is no where near as big of a merchandising day as May the Fourth, but it’s still marketed here in a very big way. Universal Studios in particular makes a massive event of it.

You’re right - I only collect and follow the LEGO Harry Potter series right now (but I would go nuts for an Adventurers reboot), so the only “leak” I’ve seen from Falconfan was a countdown to a statement that the D2C Diagon Alley would “probably” be minifig scale. So I was just like hmmm... Hopefully we get some real info on Diagon Alley and the CMF series sooner than later!

No one is doubting him. I think everyone, including me, respects and admires what he brings to the community. I just assumed he is a blogger who shares reliable content, though. I am not familiar with his reputation as a “leaker,” which is why I asked the question. A “leaker” in my mind is someone who “leaks” exclusive info and content that they have special access to. Like @TheRandomBlocker last year and the Chinese factory workers this year. If you ask him, I don’t think he even identifies as a ”leaker” - he is a blogger and he is a great one! No disrespect. I hate to say this (and I really hope I’m wrong) but I don’t think we will actually see official info about the CMF series 2 or the D2C Diagon Alley until July 31 (Harry’s Birthday) with both being released on September 1 (Hogwarts Day - it’s a thing in the US). Again, I meant absolutely no disrespect. I am relatively new here, though I have been following since last year. I know legofan_33 made a more definitive statement, but I saw that you had also made a comment about a possible CMF reveal on Wednesday. Since you have such a strong reputation and following, I just wanted to clarify if you even identify as a “leaker” so that people don’t start piling on you. My impression was that you are a LEGO blogger who reviews sets and curates other content from sources you’ve confirmed as legitimate. Either way, I appreciate you and all you do for the fandom.

I mean this with no disrespect, but I am genuinely curious: How did @Falconfan1414 solidify his reputation as a trusted leaker? The only “leak” I’ve ever seen from him was the countdown to a “confirmation” that a Diagon Alley set is coming and that it is “probably” minifig scale. Does Falconfan even identify as a leaker? Maybe he can clarify this for us. When I think of a trusted leaker, I think of @TheRandomBlocker who had legitimate insider information through his line of work and risked it all to share those leaks with us. I think that’s quite different from the info we have seen from Falconfan. Again, no disrespect I just feel bad if people start bashing Falconfan if he doesn’t even claim to be or identify as a leaker.

Could very well be the case. They could even include Moaning Myrtle, but print her in grayscale to match the GH set’s Nearly Headless Nick, keeping the exclusive bluish printing for the CMF series. But I think if we’re going to get a bathroom set in the same style as the RoR set, we’re much more likely to get the Troll scene before the Polyjuice Potion scene.

I want some Grindylows so bad! I still think there’s a possibility that we could get them in a Durmstrang ship set next year. LEGO is almost all out of vehicles for the line now that they’ve done the Hogwarts Express, the Knight Bus, the Beauxbatons Carriage, a thestral carriage, and two versions of the flying Ford Anglia. I could see the ship set including a few Grindylows, the champions in their Second Task appearances, a mermaid or two, Karkaroff, and a random Durmstrang student. The only other iconic vehicle I can think of is Sirius’ motorcycle. Marco Bessa confirmed that the design team has been working on it, but their challenge is building handlebars that work with the current Hagrid minifigs arms.

Updating my list because I think @Legopls‘s prediction about Hermione is much more realistic than the Polyjuice Cat Hermione we all want. I am starting to doubt that LEGO will give us two female characters with cat heads. We’re already getting Luna with her Gryffindor Lion Head. And Hermione in her Muggle winter clothes is so iconic in both OotP and HBP. They could even reuse the Hidden Side girl’s cap and hair (though I’d prefer a new more accurate mold). This way, the already confirmed HBP Harry and the predicted HBP Ron in Quidditch gear will match Hermione. My prediction is that they will throw in a new fat cat mold for Crookshanks with her. I also think we are all light on “bad guys” in our predictions so I replaced Harry as Goyle with Malfoy in his iconic black suit with the little bird he puts in the vanishing cabinet.

I love the Deathly Hallows films but, as much as I am looking forward to a few potential DH sets (Malfoy Manor, the Escape from Gringotts, the Battle of Hogwarts), I don’t think that LEGO is planning to base the entire 2021 series of sets on these films. I could be wrong, but I seriously doubt that we’re going to see sets like Bill and Fleur’s wedding, Shell Cottage, the Lovegood home, or the Forest of Dean anytime soon. I think the more likely situation is that the 2021 release features 3-4 Deathly Hallows sets, 1-2 Fantastic Beasts III sets, and 1-2 sets that we are missing from the first films (Troll in the Dungeon, Fluffy and the Tasks, the Chamber of Secrets). And an Advent Calendar that will probably be HBP focused. I hope the AC is based on Hogsmeade, but it will probably be either a Weasley Christmas or a Slug Club Christmas Party expansion.

I’d love to get a proper werewolf Lupin with a new wolf head mold and the faun legs in light gray. I don’t think we’ll get him in the upcoming CMF series, but I’m holding out hope in the possible D2C Hogsmeade or a separate Shrieking Shack set. I’d also love a creature battle pack of the young Marauders (Lupin, Pettigrew, Sirius, and James) with their animagus forms (Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs). In terms of entirely new characters, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the OotP Tonks in the new CMF series, but I’d also love to see Firenze, Cormac McClaggen in his beaters uniform, and more random witches and wizards with weird little hats and outfits like Doris Crockford and Daedalus Diggle. My number one spot is still reserved for the unfortunate unicorn that crossed paths with Voldy in the Forbidden Forest

I literally just swooned... this is almost exactly my dream line up of minifigs for the D2C Diagon Allley set. I do think there needs to be some more racial diversity in the mix, though. Dean Thomas, Lee Jordan, Angelina Johnson, and Cho Chang are all figures that could be represented in this set. I would also like to see some randos like Daedalus Diggle and Doris Crawford.
