  1. There are some new close up shots of the pamphlet on Instagram, and @lucky_lego_store (the shop in Romania that has Series 2 in stock) just posted a better pic of the box art. You can clearly see the note printed on Harry’s blanket there, too.
  2. If you zoom in really closely to baby Harry, you can see that he not only has a tiny mark above the left eye, but he also has a little note printed on him to look like it’s tucked into his blanket. I think he was really designed as an accessory for the new Dumbledore minifig so fans can recreate the very first scene in Harry Potter.
  3. To be fair, @Falconfan1414 identifies as a leaker. If he makes an authoritative comment - like a character’s inclusion in the CMF is “necessary” - it’s natural for us to think there is something more to it! Of course, we’re always appreciative of any info he shares here. Even if I am a bit confused by the “necessary” comment and even further befuddled by the additional explanation...
  4. Personally, I have no problem with the fact that the twins are included. My problem is with their design and execution. Their faces are cartoonish and horrible and they look like they’re wearing creepy trench coats. I absolutely love all of the other minifigs in this series though.
  5. I take this as a confirmation: our prediction that Weasley Wizarding Wheezes will NOT be included in the D2C Diagon Alley was correct. Unpopular opinion, but I never wanted WWW to be in this set, nor did I think it would make sense. I’d much rather have a more detailed and accurate Diagon Alley from years 1-3 than one that tries to squeeze in all the fan favorites. Give me the Leaky Cauldron over WWW any day! I do still think we will get WWW as a stand-alone set, though.
  6. Zavvi is the best! They made my quarantine so much more bearable. I’m only ever ordering from them if the US gets delayed releases again.
  7. I agree. The more I look at them, the more I hate them. They look like Timmy and Jimmy from South Park. Absolutely horrible. What a waste of two slots... I get the business logic behind it though. You need to have a few bleh minifigs in the mix to ensure kids by more blind bags if they get them and they’re not the ones they wanted. Overall, I’m happy with the series as a whole. Can’t wait to see the selection of minifigs that come with Diagon Alley!
  8. You can actually get alcoholic Butterbeer at the Hog’s Head and the Three Broomsticks in Universal Studios. It’s lovely. All the other shops and stands sells nonalcoholic Butterbeer though. Hermione gets visibly drunk on Butterbeer in the Half Blood Prince movie. So much so that she has to lean on Harry and Ron as they leave the Hog’s Head. Which is why it’s a bit surprising that her minifig is included with an intoxicant. LEGO is really leaning into this whole 18+ thing! I love it. And I think you’re right that it’s supposed to be mildly “alcoholic” - but maybe the Wizarding world has no such thing as “alcohol” in the traditional sense and drinks are just enchanted to make you feel happy and loosen up your inhibitions .
  9. It’s not shameful! He owns a shop! Haha
  10. It’s the same person. I just private messaged the store on Instagram. Still waiting to hear back on pricing for a full set. UPDATE: Just heard back! The store manager said he’s charging $133.45 for a full set of all 16 minifigs and their accessories with priority shipping to the US. I’m so tempted... but it is a pretty big markup from the cost of getting them on September 1. I may just order Dumbledore, Kingsley, Luna, and Myrtle. I think I can wait on the rest.
  11. I just sent a private message to @lucky_lego_store on Instagram and it sounds like they are the store in Brasov, Romania where the leaks are coming from. I asked if the store manager would be willing to ship minifigs to the US and here was his response: “Yes. In zip bag! At USD $7.35. The shipping price it it will USD $9.50 priority registered delivery with tracking number +5% PayPal fee from total” I’m going to ask how much he’s charging for a full set! I’ll keep everyone posted.
  12. Never mind! Found him! It’s posted by an Instagrammer called @lucky_lego_store. That Dumbledore is hands down my favorite minifig in this collection. What an incredible design job. And Fawkes is beautiful too.
  13. Where are you all seeing this? It’s not on #legoleaks or #legoharrypotter on Insta?
  14. Who are you all most disappointed that we missed out on from our predictions? I’m definitely disappointed about not getting Professor Lockhart because I figured this was our best shot at getting a Cornish Pixie mold. I imagine we will probably get him in the Diagon Alley set but without any of those little blue buggers
  15. If you zoom in really closely, you can see the frames. You also see two lighter circles around his eyes. It’s hard to tell because the actual eyeglasses part were just glass.
  16. Can anyone make out what the green printed tile piece is in Fred and George’s sales suitcase?
  17. Butter beer! For some reason those mugs of butter beer ? have got me super excited! I just wasn’t expecting them and they are so iconic! I imagine we will be seeing a few of these mugs in the Diagon Alley set. These figures and their mugs also have me really hopeful for a Hogsmeade Village D2C in 2021 or 2022.
  18. I doubt streetdating is a thing in Romania No offense to any Romanians here - my mother went to art school there and it’s a lovely country. I just can’t see that being something that’s enforced there.
  19. I’m a bit of a conspiracy theorist myself and I think the timing of this “leak” (along with the strategic timing of a few other leaks this year) is really suspect. Does anyone else think LEGO knows and acknowledges that leaks are part of the fun for AFOLs and has tried to take control the narrative? It’s Harry Potter’s birthday and LEGO knew fans were clamoring for something today. Maybe rather than do an official announcement today, which could have drawn some unwanted attention to the fact that it’s also JK Rowling’s birthday, they offered us this grainy “leak” to satiate us?
  20. Ron is actually in one of his Half Blood Prince outfits - not Goblet of Fire. The whole trio appears in the CMF as they do in the movie still from HBP below:
  21. And this is Ron’s outfit too. This is officially how all three appear in the CMF
  22. Nice! I’d love to see pics of your Hufflepuff common room! Thanks @Modal! And I’m glad to hear you are safe after this mornings earthquake. The books are the Tolkien deluxe pocket set by Houghton Mifflin, which came out in 2014. I love them. Still available on Amazon ( 58% off today! Only $20). https://www.amazon.com/dp/0544445783/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_U2WiFbK5ARB3B For my LEGO Harry Potter sets, other than the big long Hogwarts castle display, I display my individual sets next to my various HP book collections. I’ve got the Jim Kay illustrated editions (can’t wait for OotP next year), the original Scholastic editions, and I just preordered the first Minalima designed book. https://www.amazon.com/dp/1338596705/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_W6WiFbBSTAZPZ
  23. The 2018 launch of the new Harry Potter series got me back into LEGO for the first time since I was a little kid. I now have every new Harry Potter set except for the Knight Bus, which doesn’t appeal to me. During quarantine, I started branching out to some of my other favorite movie themes like Jurassic World. I’ve got six or seven of those sets now and they are great. I built them while listening to the original Michael Crichton novels on audible. Also picked up the Ideas dinosaur museum set, which looks gorgeous as part of a bookshelf display. A few weeks ago I decided to treat myself after a big win at work to a brand new unopened Unexpected Gathering at Bag End set from the LEGO Lord of the Rings series. I have to say that it was probably one of the most enjoyable builds I’ve ever completed and looks perfect next to my Tolkien books. Now, slowly but surely, I’ve started hunting for good deals on unopened sets of my ultimate favorite LEGO series as a little kid - Egypt Adventurers. They are so expensive and so hard to find now. I got the Ancient Egyptian museum set from the LEGO Scooby Doo series to satiate my desire to drop a ton of cash on them. I also considered getting the new D2C Haunted House which is basically one giant Easter egg hunt for LEGO Egypt Adventurers fans, but I have heard some terrible reviews about it. Has anyone here bought and built it? I also wanted to save my LEGO money for what I am anticipating will be my new favorite set of all time - DIAGON ALLEY!
  24. His team gave August 1st as the official date, but that may have shifted after the leak from Politico this week.
  25. Haha Nice reference to Crichton. The thought of those scaly sunburnt trout Biosyn made always grossed me out.
