  1. Official or not, I prefer stonewars’ configuration: https://www.stonewars.de/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/lego-harry-potter-75969-erweiterung.jpg Also, it’s not on the official Amazon page.
  2. Is that an official image? It doesn’t look like the clock tower is even connected. I much prefer the stonewars configuration.
  3. You never need to apologize for “bad questions” here. This is a friendly community where all LEGO Harry Potter fans with questions, predictions, thoughts, theories, and opinions are free to share them. We get into fiery debates sometimes, but don’t let that put you off. We are all just very passionate about LEGO Harry Potter. Welcome to the forum!
  4. You’re right! Thanks for the heads up
  5. Where did you find the green LEGO book with a prophecy on it? I can’t seem to find it on #legoleaks. Do you mind resharing the link?
  6. It’s on a bookshelf in the Ravenclaw common room. There was some speculation on here a few pages back about what sticker or print the cover will feature. Check it out.
  7. I know the book is old, but it could be an “Easter Egg” the designers included in the Astronomy Tower set to hearken back to the original 2001 wave. They are always doing little winks like that to the fans. Like how the piece count on the Hogwarts D2C is a reference to the original wizard shop set number (6020) from 1993.
  8. There’s a Hogwarts Quiz in LEGO’s Instagram Stories right now. Two interesting illustrations are included that could possibly give us glimpses of things to come: We see the cover of an acid green book (like the one in the Astronomy Tower set) and it features a blood red potion bottle. There’s also a dark gray dog piece (German shepherd mold) with an interesting paint application: a scruffy black muzzle and bushy black brows. The paint makes it look very much like a Scottish deerhound. Could this mean we are getting Sirius as Padfoot in either the CMF or the Advent Calendar?
  9. Where are folks seeing the rumored CMF list on IG? I’m not finding anything in the normal places... #legoleaks #legoharrypotter
  10. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure this is not an official image. The proportions are way off. The Astronomy Tower is only going to be slightly taller than the Great Hall set’s Grand Staircase Tower. At this point, I don’t think LEGO has an “official” configuration for the Hogwarts Castle play sets. The company encourages creative play and customization. Besides, the Castle is a magical one with moving staircases, disappearing walls, and towers that seem to sprout up from nowhere. This is how I am planning to display my set, however. The main change from the image you posted is the Potions room from the Whomping Willow set is between the Great Hall set and the Clocktower set. I’m also planning to attach the RoR to the interior left of the Astronomy Tower.
  11. Several folks on Instagram are saying there is another August set... We now know 75978 will be an iconic underground scene (probably the Duel in the Ministry of Magic Atrium, possibly the Chamber of Secrets), but what could this other set be? If we do get a second August set like last year, I really hope it’s Grimmauld Place. It would fit nicely with the OotP-themed Advent Calendar, which _kingnono_ confirmed. It would also round out the trilogy of Harry’s homes, which have been featured in this wave. What do you all think? Is there another mystery set that has yet to be leaked? If so, what could it be?
  12. Thanks, @Guyon2002! Really appreciate it!
  13. This is helpful - thanks again!
  14. @Guyon2002, @Sirius1348, @Sakuragi16 your displays look really great! I love how you’ve each customized the grand staircase tower to include the three iconic little turrets that come off the roof. Could you share instructions and what pieces you each used to achieve that addition? Thanks for sharing!
  15. Thanks @MaxHeadroom. I’m sure Marcos appreciates your support - and so do I.
  16. No problem here, friend. I just don’t appreciate the homophobic tone of your previous posts. This forum is a safe space for everyone. Now, let’s get back on topic. I agree with this ?
  17. Hey @Balrogofmorgoth - I hate to break it to you but ... Dumbledore was GAY! I think Barnes & Noble in the US will still get a July 1 release. It’s what happened last year, too.
  18. Yes! I agree. I think there may be two August sets coming... Just like we were surprised with last year.
  19. I have a feeling we may be getting a new McGonagall in the CMF series with a baby Harry and/or a gray cat accessory. It would work well with the new Dumbledore and the new Privet Drive set. Unless you’re gay, you don’t get to “love” a post about “hating the idea of an LGBT community”. All are welcome at LEGO Hogwarts.
  20. That’s your opinion, and you’re 100% entitled to it. But you also recently shared how much you love Donald Trump and want him included as an exclusive minifig in the upcoming LEGO White House set, so please don’t lecture me on injecting politics into the conversation. I am just saying how Marcos’ visibility as an out gay man and the Design Lead on such an iconic LEGO project makes today’s reveals feel all the more special for me. Marcos deserves so much credit for the sets we all love. I can’t wait to see what he and his team have in store for us with Diagon Alley and the other August set(s)!
  21. I encourage everyone to check out Marcos Bessa’s latest Instagram post about the set reveals. Marcos is the 31-year-old Design Lead for the LEGO Harry Potter series and, as an out and proud member of the LGBTQ community, he is a huge personal inspiration. Marcos mentions all the designers of the sets and explains the logic behind some design choices (like the white door frames). Check it out:
  22. Just want to clarify here. AshnFlash was still wrong. The LEGO Harry Potter sets are not postponed until August in the US. They will be available on July 1, per LEGO’s website.
  23. I thought it was July in the US...
  24. End-to-end you will need around 4.5 feet of display surface. Here is how I currently have my Hogwarts castle set up. I can’t wait to swap out Hagrid’s Hut for the Astronomy Tower! https://imgur.com/gallery/XaeTrfU
