  1. ARC-170 and Ahsoka’s Jedi Interceptor LET’S KRIFFING GO!!!! The price for the ARC-170 is not bad (about $10 lower than I would have expected), but $45 for Ahsoka’s starfighter is crazy! I get that the canopy will probably bump up the price a bit when compared to something like a Delta-7, but this seems excessive. I would like to think that we are getting a few new moulds and a decent number of good Minifigs, but it is probably just an Ahsoka tax. 🫤 As for Minifigs, Ahsoka’s Eta-2 appears during the Battle of Cato Neimoidia, so the set should include her brown costume from the latter half of TCW (hopefully with arm printing for the diamond cutouts on her sleeves!), R7-A7, and maybe a buzz droid or two. The only additional characters who I can see appearing are Anakin (RotS version, as he had switched from his earlier armoured design by this point), Rex (reused, ideally with a jetpack as he is wearing one in the scene), or just a 501st Trooper. For the ARC-170, we are probably getting Oddball or Jag, at least one P2 Clone Pilot, an Astromech, and probably a Jedi to mix things up (likely Plo Koon if we get Jag). Can you say if we are getting a battle pack at all in January (number not part of this list), and if not, at least in March/May? Also, any Microfighters or mechs in 1HY?
  2. I think you are right - The part is positioned a bit differently, which makes it look more asymmetrical.
  3. We are assuming - Neither have been confirmed yet, and speculation is that U-Man may turn out to be a bizarre combination of characters. . . @legoturtle Also, Superman works (as Clark Kent) for a newspaper/media outlet called the Daily Planet (along with a number of friends and colleagues, to include Jimmy Olsen), and he will need to contend with another evil businessman named Lex Luthor (who is at least in part a defence contractor, considering that crates marked with the Luthorcorp logo have been seen around military vehicles and equipment). A few other notes: Flagg Sr., U-Man, and Engineer are all working with/for the U.S. military; Maxwell Lord’s company is Lordtech, and they make (probably among other things) consumer electronics; Lex’s company being called “Luthorcorp” rather than “Lexcorp” suggests that it has been a family business for at least a generation, and that Lex has only recently inherited it/is still working to define himself and the company under his leadership. Mister Terrific’s is comic-accurate, while the other two seem to be recoloured versions of his costume - Team suits designed by Holt and funded by Lord, perhaps? Usually cats have that role, so a squirrel is an interesting choice - Also, Gunn would absolutely go that route!
  4. The Onyx Cinder looks good! There seems to be a decent amount of interior space (cockpit, cargo hold, ‘living room’), and the VTOL engine feature is a very cool surprise. The Minifigs are good, and I like that the eyepiece girl has a new hair mould, but a villain and some leg printing for the kids would have been nice. The ship design itself is interesting and unique, though it does not really look like a hero ship (both in the colour-scheme and the aggressive design). That said, considering that the rumour is that the kids steal a ship and go on adventures with it, perhaps this is the villain’s ship? That would also give a reason for the show to have recurring antagonists, as the villains are trying to get their ship back!
  5. Unironically we should get MandR to rage about it - His urging got us the 501st battle pack and (most likely) Jedi Bob's starfighter!
  6. I am really hoping that the goat's price is just to prevent a massive initial run on the part by army-builders and resellers, and that it goes down over the coming months! 😬
  7. How can we get AI to train on the DC Superheroes 2024 discussion thread? 😈
  8. I think that those decisions are made very early in the design process, so it is doubtful that there is a prelim out there with a prototype Enoch in place of the Night Trooper. Also, the Night Trooper used four change/SaP slots, so the switch from Enoch was obviously not done to save on part costs (unless there is a Night Trooper battle pack in the pipeline for early 1HY 2024, and the designers just grabbed one of those Minifigs to round out the Peridea lineup).
  9. Could the Mon Cal Clone be another of his fumbles, then? The other mistakes seem to have come from seeing inventories rather than full sets, as a small and blurry pic of Night Trooper pieces could be mistaken for Enoch, and (in the OT movies) we only see Imperial gunners on the Death Star (making him think the ISD was going to be a Death Star). Continuing along this line, could the inventory for Jedi Bob’s starfighter have a Mon Calamari head and some Clone parts (but not necessarily enough for two Minifigs), leading to the “Clone Trooper/Mon Calamari” leak, which turned into a Mon Cal Clone? 🤔 My credits are still on Grand Admiral Ackbar - That would check the blocks of a Mon Cal head and white body and legs with some black detailing, as well as fit with the theme of RTG (both as an inversion of character alignments and as fanservice, since it would put a Grand Admiral’s uniform in a $40 set). The same confusion that turned a Night Trooper into Enoch has turned Grand Admiral Ackbar into a Mon Calamari Clone Trooper, IMO.
  10. The Sarlacc battle’s price is insane, the Sarlacc itself takes up way too much of the build (and it is not even good, looking like a rectangular mound with a few bits sticking out!), the shaping of the front of the skiff is wrong, the lack of generic skiff guards is disappointing (especially at this price), and the reuse of ESB Boba from the mech (without even a new cape!) is just unforgivable! Pass, unless it ends up very heavily discounted; I might grab a few of the Minifigs on BrickLink, though. Peridea looks really good! The PPP is not the best, but it is made up for by the Minifigs (I am pleased to see that Thrawn actually has dual-moulded legs). I feel like Ahsoka the White could have been a bit more. . . white, but her design is still excellent. No Enoch is disappointing, but at least we get another new Minifig in his place; hopefully we can get him, the Great Mothers, and some of Morgan’s forces (mercenaries and HK droids) in future waves. The Night Trooper is growing on me as well; the zombie head is a very welcome surprise, though I would have liked to have more gold cracks and red wrappings, or arms in different colours (as it is, the trooper looks a bit too clean). That said, if we get a battle pack of these guys with a few different helmet/torso/leg designs, we can build a nice cobbled-together army like we see in the show. My only real complaint is that the floor lines are stickers - I understand why the columns are (three different designs across four pillars), but LEGO could have made only two new printed parts (2x4 tile and 1x6 macaroni tile) and the ground detailing would have been covered. As it is, those stickers will be a pain to align! 😐 I unironically actually like Jedi Bob’s starfighter! The design is similar to the Azure Angel, but without the engine hoods or wing fins. The colour-scheme is decent but safe; I am glad that it is not something crazy, but I also do wish that it had some more vibrant details (swapping red for dark red or reddish orange would give it a cleaner look). I am curious to see the rest of the set (mainly the other Minifig(s?)), and I am wondering if the set will include extra pieces to allow the starfighter to be customised (remove the engines and guns for a more traditional look, add fins and missiles for a beefier one, etc)!
  11. Cortosis and Tràkata say otherwise. Yep. 👍 Who cares, then? Why are people still talking/griping about a silly joke, if they are aware that it was just a silly joke? Lucas brought Maul back, and the pre-Disney EU was full of resurrections, clones, and other crazy plot points. This is not a Disney thing, it is a Star Wars thing.
  12. The Jango Clones were flash-trained and had inhibitor chips approximately 40 years before Mando S3, so that tech has been well established. Also, Giideeoon could have had a cybernetic interface with his armour to improve his fighting ability (he states that it is “Phase 4” Dark Trooper armour, and we know from Pershing’s description that the pre-Phase 3 DTs were cyborgs, so there is precedent for this as well). It honestly feels like a very Moff thing to do, and after almost coming face-to-face with a Jedi, I can see him wanting a backup! Additionally, Gideon was supposedly executed for war crimes, but somehow survived/escaped, and we never get any explanation as to how this happened (maybe it was just NR negligence, but they could absolutely turn it into a plot point if they wanted to). Maybe Gideon has been using clone decoys this whole time, and the ones that died in S3 were just specifically the Force-sensitive experiments. Most of the plot points introduced in The Mandalorian were resolved (in a rather rushed manner) by the end of S3 - Gideon is dead, the bounty on Grogu has been called off, Mandalore has been retaken, the Darksaber is no longer in play, etc. I can see this quick wrap-up having been done to facilitate a simpler storyline for the Mando movie, but they could also be revisited in S4 if the story allows.
  13. I believe that comment was something called a “joke” - A statement that is intended to be humorous and not taken seriously. IMO, he is Schrodinger’s Gideon - Dead for right now, but he could be brought back if the writers have a story in mind (either the Beskar protected most of him and he comes back as a cyborg, or one of his clones survived, or a combination of both (a Beskar-wearing Force-sensitive disfigured cyborg clone, perhaps?)). I can see this happening; Gideon’s lack of a moustache was odd, and it would give the clone plot point an actual story function (“These are Gideon’s clones - Let’s destroy them!” was too quick of a resolution for me).
  14. That is absolutely what happened!
  15. Along with the MTS peasant torsos, I assume? I look forward to placing an order for these sometime in December! 😬
  16. I want the helmet in production as early as possible, so that it can be recoloured and make its way into future Castle sets! Maybe Blue Squire in the 2HY 2024 Fortnite wave, with an unprinted recolour of the helmet for a 1HY 2025 normal series CMF knight?
  17. I am hoping for Blue Squire - We need more castle helmets!
  18. True, but a City series would have fewer parts and prints that are unlikely to appear otherwise (contrast this with Space/Castle/Pirates). We already have one in the main City line, from the CSI truck.
  19. I feel like this would just end up being a bunch of City Minifigs and generic-looking people in overalls. 🫤
  20. I feel like bright light orange looks closer to the belt/symbol background than yellow; dark azure also feels a bit too light, though I can see it working.
  21. Oh, those costumes look awesome! I am looking forward to seeing what Guy and Hawkgirl look like, considering how good and comic-accurate these ones are! LEGO is not using plastic capes across the board, though, and there is not enough evidence right now to say that they are phasing cloth out entirely. That said, Superman’s cape connects at the neck in the same way that the Asgardian cape piece does, so I can see it potentially being used. As an aside, if we get Superman sets, LEGO needs to give us printed and dual-moulded legs!
  22. Same! My only problem with a Doctor Who CMF is that there are far too many characters for a single CMF (or even one per year!) to cover! A NuWho-based series could work with 18 slots, covering the bare minimum of characters. I included one companion per Doctor, and only generic monsters (no named villains). I considered adding a Dalek, but while they do need a few new parts to accurately replicate their on-screen appearance, they are not really Minifigs per se. That was the joke!
  23. Apologies for going off-topic, but I have been watching BtAS for the first time and it absolutely lives up to its reputation! We definitely need more sets based on the series (Batwing, Batcave, and maybe even a 4+ set if it includes a unique character), as well as a CMF (since there are only so many vehicles and location playsets that can realistically be made).
  24. I would prefer a more generic-looking design, just so that it can be used as a random JSF or modified into an existing design. A wacky teal-and-orange starfighter would be creative, but it is not something that can coexist with sets based on Canon content (this is why I prefer the X-wing vs. TIE over the Dark Falcon). May I get the link as well, please?
  25. I am curious to see what parts are left after building each model, and how affordable it will be to buy the additional pieces necessary to build both models at once. A $300 set that only needs (for instance) $20 of extra parts to make the equivalent of two $200 sets suddenly sounds like a far better deal!
