10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Classic_Spaceman replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It seems like the Lions' design will be similar to that of the updated Black Falcons, which makes sense (and I appreciate the consistency for display purposes). Both Forestmen are identical, which is slightly disappointing (and means that the GWP will likely not contain any new prints). I will probably swap the black helmets for Flat Silver, since grille helms in black have not been produced since 2002. I was hoping for more, and for more colours, but I am very happy that we are getting barding for both factions! I actually do not mind, since it feels less like a fortress (like the Creator 3-in-1) and more like a guarded town. I just read it - The only mention of a hawk that I saw was a reference to the "Black Hawks" faction, which is obviously just a translation error of Black Falcons.- 2,976 replies

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Classic_Spaceman replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Confirmed! "At the beginning of the medieval sequence, the DeLorean shoots through the city gate, past several civilians. Shown here are a maid, a young ranger, a boy and a farmer wearing a blue Forestmen hat and blue ox cart. These four figures and team will also be included in the LEGO 10305 Knight's Castle."- 2,976 replies

I will definitely be getting a few of these to use as small outposts around my Castle In The Forest!! 👍 Where did you see this? Only two horses seems disappointingly low. 😕- 2,976 replies

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Classic_Spaceman replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This looks and sounds great! Did PromoBricks specify how many of the knights would be actual mounted knights, and how many would be guards/footsoldiers? I can see a 3/6 split between knights and footsoldiers, and one of the Black Falcons being a mounted knight; this would bring us to the four horses that the original set had, and would allow for both a joust and a properly-guarded castle. Also, despite his not appearing until after the Lion Knights/Crusaders had retired, I am assuming that the "magician" is an updated version of Majisto. Furthermore, since the Minifig breakdown only adds up to 17, we may also get some peasants (most likely the ones that we see in the BTTF video, since the castle shown has been confirmed to be a prototype for this set).- 2,976 replies

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Classic_Spaceman replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Agreed, and baseplates are not even a requirement if modern parts are being used, since it would be easier to just build the walls onto 4-by-X plates. I seriously doubt that we are going to get a near-remake of 6080 (as seen in the DeLorean video); note that, aside from 6080, there are a number of other past Castle sets featured in that video (Kingdoms Joust, Mill Village Raid windmill, Medieval Market Village, Creator 3-in-1, Medieval Blacksmith, CMF Bard pieces, etc). The only new material that appears is the cow and cart, the farmer/peasant male, innkeeper/peasant female, and Forestman (the peasant boy uses the Bard's torso, and the peasant girl uses the new red Forestmen torso).- 2,976 replies

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Classic_Spaceman replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Where did you see the description? If it is a translation of the name, the set could just be called something along the lines of “Forestmen’s Ambush”. Edit: I found the source (2:38 of this video). The only hint about a second Castle set is a picture from an old catalogue that depicts Forestmen attacking a pair of castles - No description or name of the set was given. As such, I think that a small GWP that can be massed and placed around the Anniversary and 3-in-1 castles would fit with the information provided.- 2,976 replies

Would anyone who has both the old and new Stormtrooper Minifigs be willing to take some comparison photos, as well as ones with the torsos and legs swapped? I want to see how they look when displayed together.

VIKING VILLAGE Ideas set via Target vote
Classic_Spaceman replied to jtooker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
You may be right, but the Viking village would pair very nicely with the Viking longship that is coming out, which is something that I think LEGO would take into consideration (they could even reuse the prints and moulds from the ship!). -

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Classic_Spaceman replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Considering the reuse of existing models and Minifigs, as well as the presence of an (at the time) unseen recolour (the cow), I think that the new print designs are likely to appear in the castle. Are we sure that this is reliable? I cannot really see LEGO releasing two large castles side-by-side, with another still on shelves - I would love for them to, but I do not find it to be likely. 😕 What if this is a GWP that pairs with the castle (like the Vintage Taxi does with the Modular Boutique Hotel)? Something like a small tree/rock/catapult build with 1-2 Forestmen seems fairly plausible. 🤔- 2,976 replies

I do apologise for being so absent; I have been dealing with more Depression than usual lately (I am not sure why). I was planning to reply later today (and to continue with the quest) but if the feeling is that my lapses in participation are disrupting the pace of the game for the other players, I can use this point to write Yelana out of the mission. @Kintobor: Any advice?

Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Agreed! This should have been at least two sets: A small Hall with a car, workbench, and Stark Expo map, Minifigs: Tony, Fury/Nat, Mk. 4, Mk. 5; and then a Whiplash Mk. II mech with Racetrack Vanko (who can be placed into the mech such that only the Mk. II helmet is visible), Mk. 6, War Machine Mk. 1, Hammer/Pepper. I am fine with the variety of helmets (particularly since the non-opening one is still being produced - See Whiplash), as the MCU helmets changed and became sleeker with each iteration (Mk. 3 looks good with the original opening helmet, but the Mk. 85 should have either the non-opening one or the new one). Additionally, unlike with something like Stormtroopers, Iron Man is constantly changing the designs of his suits, so having multiple helmet options is entirely consistent with his character (and, as such, all three helmet designs can be displayed side-by-side with no real issue). -
Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I really like the new helmet mould - It feels like an updated version of the original 2012 helmet, or a hybrid of the opening and non-opening helmets. It strikes the right balance between being able to open, and not looking excessively large or blocky, as the original helmet often does (particularly on some of the later MCU suits). I agree about War Machine, though - He absolutely should have used the Star Wars (TBB, Mando) armour (particularly since this is his bulkiest suit). I also think that Whiplash should either have been the racetrack version if LEGO wanted to include him as just a Minifig, since the Mk. II suit would have made a great mech set. 😕 -

I think that I was wrong - Orange appears to have the same pink eyeshadow as the woman from the van (it is just difficult to see, due to the lighting). Based solely on the characters' eye/eyebrow designs, the new team seems to have a better gender balance than the current one: Yellow and Orange are Female, Blue and Light Pink are Male, and Dark Pink is currently unclear. -

There is a Pride flag visible on the back of the van at 0:39 (a Twitter user noticed this first), which is the first explicit reference to/appearance of LGBTQIA+ individuals in the series (and, unless there is one in Friends, the first in-house LGBT character that LEGO has made)!! -
LEGO Ninjago 2022

I like both, but I appreciate the differentiation (and the potential shift in tone/stories/etc that may come with this being the new main team). BTW, I have updated my original post with more things that I noticed upon rewatching the trailer. Another potential set of lyrics are: They Say NO NO! But we don't wanna sit around no moreWE SAYGO GO!You're gonna see us rip into it... Perhaps the Ninja initially discourage the new team from fighting (perhaps due to their lack of elemental powers), but the new team persists and eventually wins the Ninja's respect. It makes sense to tie the original Ninja passing the torch to a new team into the theme, and it allows the theme to be retained for "Ninjago 2.0" (if this is the route that the show is taking with the new characters). -

One is light pink, and the other is dark pink - Additionally, they do not have the same weapon; at 0:36, we see Light Pink with a hammer, and at 0:48 Dark Pink has a sword. (Also, before anyone speculates about this, the pink-haired woman at 0:38 is not one of the new ninja - She has eyeshadow, which none of the new characters have). EDIT: The new orange ninja appears to have the same eyeshadow, so they may actually be the same character. I was not aware of that. Between Kai's actor leaving, Kirby Morrow's death, and whatever Nya's fate is, though, I can see next season starting with a brief time-jump to the new team as the main characters, with the legacy Ninja as their sensei. I agree; very "stealth-TRON". Also worth noting is that the new team seems tech-based, contrasted with the current Ninja's element-based powers, which would set them apart well if they are going to become the main team at some point. -

Jay and Cole's new suits can be seen at 0:41, and Zane's at 0:49. The new Ninja team (seen in full at 0:49) does not appear to include any of the main Ninja or their allies (from looking at their eyebrows). I cannot tell if they are villains or not, since despite Yellow fighting Kai at 0:50, Kai and Jay also fight in the trailer (perhaps regarding Nya? EDIT: Definitely related to Nya, considering the water in the foreground of the shot.), so it could be misleading. As for their role, I am going to guess that they are either a villainous team that frames the Ninja for their own crimes (hence the Ninja ending up in prison), or a replacement/stand-in team who protect Ninjago while the main Ninja are imprisoned. Part of the plot seems to involve breaking Aspheera out of prison (0:29), since she is seen at the Monastery (0:16), though it is unclear exactly why (possibly something to do with her staff, seen at 0:30?). EDIT: Aspheera does not seem to be involved in the fight at 0:09, and the snake beside Ronin at 0:14 is the Serpentine who takes part in the fight, not Aspheera (further suggesting that she is either an ally who the Ninja make while in prison, or the reason that they are in prison to begin with). EDIT: The dragon at the end of the trailer is Nya - While it is holding a person in its mouth, which would seem to indicate that it is a villain, the combination of the storm and the fact that the person in-question is wearing clothes similar to the others on the ship (which appear to be generic fishermen on a fishing boat), I think that the dragon (Nya) is actually rescuing someone who fell overboard. If you are referring to the main Ninja's all-black suits, LEGO would only need to include one in a single set (since all of them appear to be identical), so there is a chance that we could get them. -

Multiples of the same item take an individual slot each (as the system currently stands). @Yzalirk, @Endgame: Would either of you be willing to sell a Structural Scanner? Additionally, how would such a transaction take place (and can items that are available at the Bazar be sold to other players?)? 🤔 -

Pictures of the City farm set have appeared, and the (new) cow is the same as the one in the DeLorean video. Considering that most of the parts/colours/prints that appeared were reused (with a few notable exceptions), this suggests that the cow (and accompanying cart) will be in the Castle.- 2,976 replies

Where did we get this Minifig lineup? Spider-Man and Iron Man seem like odd choices (unless they are Variants), and there are a few other characters who could appear in the set and not be considered too spoiler-y. 🤔 -
LEGO Star Wars 2022 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Classic_Spaceman replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This has been my assumed Minifig lineup ever since the rumours of a Kaminoan in the Delta-7 surfaced. True, but Nala Se had more appearances (and is likely going to be a significant character going forward, considering where she was at the end of TBB Season 1), and is more connected to Omega and Fennec. Additionally, LEGO tends to avoid basing sets explicitly around death scenes, when it can be avoided (Boba's Palace being a notable exception). BTW, the only Kaminoans that I am expecting to get this year are Taun We and Nala Se, since they can share a headpiece (albeit with different printing). Lama Su would need a different part entirely, so I doubt that we will see him for a while. 😕
