Lego Dreamzzz 2023
Classic_Spaceman replied to bricks4live1972's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
True, but it is odd that printed VIDIYO-style parts (that correspond to scrapped sets) have appeared so long after the theme’s cancellation. -
It is oddly bright for a Medieval Minifig, but considering that we already have the part used in both brown and black, I am fine with getting a recolour that can be used in another theme. I think that she looks good; neon yellow is a common colour for referees’ shirts, so it looks obvious to me (and I have actually never seen the black-and-white design from the previous Minifig used). Just as an aside, I think that this Minifig may be based on Stéphanie Frappart:

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

I cannot see why LEGO would mail the shields separately, so the omission is an error on their part. Call them! -
LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Classic_Spaceman replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Compared to other series, Andor takes a political and contemporary approach. Is this what intrigued you? Tony and the other writers have written a story that’s only incidentally a Star Wars series. In some ways, it’s something else — more mature, complex and tense. I’ve often thought that for my 7-year-old nephew watching Andor couldn’t have been very easy. Then, they made a Lego version of me, and everything was okay. Jokes aside: that I am able to say these things, to say them so honestly, it’s a wonderful thing for me. Dedra Meero appears in a Skywalker Saga DLC, but that it fairly obscure; I think that Gough is referring to an actual (physical) Minifig! -
Roughly eleven (counting the Classic Spacebaby as one part (it may be more than one)); Cake Queen may have a new dress piece, but I think that it is just a recolour/reprint. The soccer ball seems to be a printed version of this. The T-Rex seems to have the new Na'vi tail from the Avatar 2 sets. Also, while it is difficult to tell, I think that Gundam Fett's wing/shoulder pieces are attached to the helmet.

Fair, and I agree about the noticeability. -
The koala and zookeeper's legs are also useful!

The baby Benny is adorable, and Space builders are going to get a lot of use out of that tile (which I think is meant to be a baby monitor!). This is officially the figure's name now! Yes. Series 24 will still be in bags; the boxes do not debut until September 2023 (per Promobricks). True, but the lack of one makes the part more reusable.

While I consider the BAM torso to be a different faction, I do appreciate the variety of appearances that will be possible with this new figure, and I hope that LEGO continues to give us variants of existing factions via CMFs (all-green Forestman, plate-armoured Lion Knight, etc). Agreed. 😕👍 I know - I meant that the back of the torso will look odd without the cape (or a quiver, or some other back covering). -

The 'Black Falconer' looks good! I like that it has a less armoured appearance compared with the existing one (tunic over shirt, rather than tunic over chainmail) while still maintaining the same overall design-language, and the falconry glove doubles nicely as a bracer if the brown hand is swapped for yellow. Really my only problem is the printed cloak, which is going to look awkward without a quiver or fabric cape covering it. -

Where did you find the second picture, and is there one of the legs? -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

I see airtanks, so it may be a helmet-airtanks combo piece that attaches to the baby's head. 🤔 Also, that tile is going to be VERY useful! -

Blind boxes are not set to appear until September, per Promobricks. The Minifig descriptions: The falcon is a new mould with spread wings, not a recolour of the old parrot. -

New space CMFs, including a brown Classic Spaceman!! 👍👍👍 A picture of the “space warrior” is on Instagram, visible in some stories and on my page. -
Dreamzzz basically confirmed as VIDIYO 2.0 now. 👍 I just saw the leaked referee and space figures - Both look great! I like the use of neon yellow for the referee’s torso (which is very accurate), and the lack of curve printing. Also, it is nice to have a proper soccer ball again, and the hair is a good recolour of the low bun piece. The sci-fi Minifig is very weird and very cool; the new helmet is brilliant, though I cannot tell if the wings are attached or a neck piece. I am still not sure what it is supposed to be, though it could be a Minifig-sized Gundam; the helmet looks similar to a Gundam head. 🤔

1.) Interesting! I assume that this will have a modern design, but I hope for something more Medieval looking. 2.) Odd choice, IMO, unless they go with an historical design; also, hopefully we get a new cap mould. 3.) With its brown/nougat colouring, it seems like this will be based on the inflatable T-Rex costumes. 4.) Already leaked; looks great! I particularly like the jaw attachment. The cloak is a nice surprise (I wonder if it will be tattered?), since the figure looks good as-is, and I am curious to see what the shield looks like (particularly what mould is used). 5.) One of the more useful costumes, since the City Fresh grocery chain has a carrot as its logo. 6.) Cute! I am surprised that this is being described as an “animal keeper”, given the ethics of zoos - Perhaps it will be more of an animal sanctuary worker. 7.) I have not seen the leaks for this figure, but I ALWAYS like getting new space figures! Also, the colour scheme and potential anime inspiration (per @Robert8) make this sound very unique. 👍 8.) While I would have preferred a different faction (Black Knights, Wolfpack), I like that we will be able to have some variation within the Falcon ranks. Additionally, I hope that this sets something of a precedent, and that we get some variant Lions and Forestmen at some point in the future. The falcon is unexpected, since a falconer could be a separate figure, but I like it; I just hope that the torso does not have any curve printing, so that it can be used as a gender-neutral army-builder. 9.) YES!!! Just YES!!! Also, the baby sounds like a funny and cute addition. 👍 10.) Only the second ref that LEGO has made, and definitely due for an update. I hope that we get a new player in an upcoming series, or at least some jerseys in City. 11.) I almost had it! This should provide some useful parts for Castle MOCs, including a new hairpiece! 12.) Another somewhat odd one; I will reserve judgement until I see the rocking horse part.
